Why is a character I'm supposed to have stuff in common with such a loser? (Don't answer that.) - - - NOTE: This video mentions SA. While it was presented humorously in the show, and the video is lighthearted throughout, it's something to be aware of if that is something it's necessary you avoid.

I have no right to be mad at this cheesy romance movie. And yet… Here are the receipts I mention about halfway through the video: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_involvement_in_regime_change I understand not totally trusting Wikipedia, because it is crowd sourced. Unfortunately, my recommendation for an academically verified alternative requires a lot of reading: www.powells.com/book/a-peop...

Here Lies A Classic Tale of American TV Executives Chasing Money. But, unfortunately, this is no The Office. I have been a fan of BBC's Ghosts for a few years, and, while I have seen most of the American version, something has always felt "off" about it, and I wanted to explore why.

A MOVIE SO NICE THEY DID IT TWICE. A look into the shot-for-shot remake of the Alfred Hitchcock seminal classic PSYCHO. Why, God, why was this made? And what is its deal? Hopefully I can offer a little insight into movie making, and why some films do, and don't, often work.

I finally watched the entire Snyderverse

Hi all! Thanks for coming through. In this video, I talk about the development of the Snyderverse, specifically how it ends-with two Justice Leagues, the first being a strong contender for one of the worst movies of the 2010s. I also compare it to The Avengers, a film Warner Brothers tried to replicate the magic of when they were releasing Justice League. I ask what the hell two versions of the...

Just wanted to quickly throw up a tour of my room in Los Angeles! Hope you enjoy! Please make sure not to share this video without my permission or the shape in my mirror will come find you!
This was excellent, Cruise is such a fascinating guy. Its so obvious that scientology has a massive hand in it, and there's definitely the huge element of ego stroking, i think he's masking some insecurity. I like to say that the MI films have become documentaries on the wild stuff he'll do for *whatever reason it is*
I think I’d rather watch the remake than listen to this strumpet waffling on about it.
REBECCA FERGUSON'S ILSA FAUST CHARACTER THAT WE LOVED AND ADMIRED FOR MANY YEARS IS BEING KILLED OFF LIKE A CHICKEN AND BECOMING A CORPSE ON THE VENICE BRIDGE , THAT THE FACT THAT I WANT TO SAY ABOUT MISSION IMPOSSIBLE DEAD RECKONING PART 1 ‼️💔💔😡😡
Ngl when i was a kid i used to be a huge fan of Snyder's movies but now that I'm older i realize that most of his movies arent as good as ppl hype them up to be. I'd say the only good movies he's directed are 300, watchmen, man of steel, and the snydercut. All his other movies are either mid - or straight up trash.
You’re 100% correct. M:I does feel different. Because the approach is different from 90% of movies made today. Say whatever you want about Tom Cruise personally, but as an actor he doesn’t belong anywhere near the same discussion as Dwyane Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
picks nose in the first 2 sec. Well that is sure is a bold choice
the end was lit!!🎠🔥🔥
I loved the MI movies since I was I was 10 years old when I watched the first movie with my cousins because I did everything they do. I still love them to this day but now as an adult and father you spoke to something I had felt but wasn’t able to really articulate. Anyway great video and count me as a new sub.
You've definitely nailed the "why is tom cruise so weird"-ness of it all
this first MI is the best MI
Not to be overly scrupulous buuuut The MCU did NOT* exist for ten years before avengers it existed for 4 and had five movies before avengers.
DCEU also existed for four and had 4 films before josstice league
They not dc fans
You should watch wonder woman b4
I love this kind of videos, it doesn't feel like I'm watching a video from a person at the other side of the world, but feels like I'm just listening to a friend's opinion, keep it up :D
The 80s ITV version with Jeremy Brett was terrific. I'm very old.
you know, an Aeon Flux adaptation under Villenueve would be awesome.
I was a fan of the MTV cartoon, so I went into the movie hoping to like it. Of course it was disappointing, but one thing I didn't hate was the costuming. You mention that it looks like the designer was making three dresses into one, but Aeon Flux is contemporaneous with The Fifth Element and other films that were dystopian futures which had Gaultier as the chief costume designer. He was using a lot of cut aways, layering and plastics to create that vision, and the costumier is clearly giving a huge nod to that aesthetic, while probably being constrained by the studio NOT to go down the bondage / S&M aesthetic of the original source material. It's been a minute since I last saw it, and I'll probably change my mind if I watch it again. I think maybe I was just looking for something, anything at all to like about it!
I appreciate RUclipsrs who talk about movies nobody’s talking about or done to death on
It sounds like the mommy dearest movie, it’s incredibly camp and so bad

Ahh yes. This… piece of work. What a weird thing 😂
Good discussion, didn't like Vaughan at all though.

I like the Zack Snyder's Justice League but wouldn't call it a good movie lol
Zack snyders justice league was a masterpiece. #restorethesnyderverse
Uh-Oh The attack of the Snyder Cult members is coming!!! You've been warned!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You know, I’ve always liked this film (liked, not loved), but I felt like there was something missing. And hearing you say it had “the vibe” but not “the heart” really is eye opening to me. I love gothic stories, I love vampires, I love stupidly cheesy romance, which might seem like this film would be drenched in, though it’s simply not and I just couldn’t figure out why myself. I agree with your opinions, thank you for putting into words what I’ve been trying to say for years regarding this. Side note, I’m binging your videos. I really hope you blow up, your takes are very interesting and I really like your sense of humour 😅
I spent so much of this video thinking, “damn, I wonder what she thinks of Anne Rice”, so the shot of Louis and Lestat was incredibly satisfying. I liked this movie even with its weird old man horniness, but I like the “little dances” (and the deranged straight woman horniness) more.
Did you watch Crimson Peak? If not you really should. Anyways, I agree with all else you said, but I disagree with your ask for sublety. I think the quote at the beginning specifically shows that it should be over the top and that is what makes it great in my eyes. I guess its just a matter of taste. (This is coming from a huge appreciator of 19th century gothic...) Although I now do long for a 100% gay Dracula film where he comes to London not to haunt Mina but Jonathan exclusively. As far as the age gap stuff, I think the "she's a child" bit is supposed to be mischaracterization of her by the Victorian men trying to repress female sexual potential.
Woman demonizing J. K. Rowling for trying to protect women Is very woman moment lmao
14:54 They trying to match Heath Ledger’s Joker + Gene Heckman’s Lex Luthor and failing so hard
What do I think? Shut up.
Synder bros who get triggered by every critic of Synder films, will never cease to be hilarious.
And also the opposite of that. Snyder haters who hate on every thing snyder does for no reason is hilarious. Remember people saying man of steel was a bad movie 💀
It's funny how not only the Snyder's fans keep his name trending, the Snyder's haters do it too 😅
@@jcmartinez1808 So true. He lives in their heads rent free
@@Homelander-i9r Not for "no reason".
Just a quick comment, Sherlock was written by Moffat and Mark Gatiss. They had equal role and, unlike Doctor Who, Sherlock had no showrunner.
lol. imagine having a problem with Joss correcting Snyder's bad jokes. you may not like the Joss edited version but it makes the heroes more sensible act better than the ZSJL. maybe you should go watch Mauler roast of it. are you sure you didn't watch it in reverse? Cyborg's suit malfunction makes more sense when it caused an issue in the 2017 version but not in Snyder's JL cut, and the Wonder woman and Bruce scene is so perfect to show how Bruce has grown to understand Superman. Same with his discussion with Alfred. If you think ZSJL makes more sense, then you weren't paying attention but rushing to get ur bias confirmed
ZSJL was a masterpiece 🔥
@@Homelander-i9r whatever you say bub

Are you...dressed as Norman in the interrogation scene?
The trailer SENT me I can't get over how 2000s it is its almost parody
"I got COVID" I wish that's where your story ended
I like your sloth in the back.
Honorable mention to 2010s (2011s?) Coriolanus, which is basically what if Shakespeare, but it looks like Call of Duty. Real good stuff. Voldemort is in it, but he gets a nose this time.
I saw rhis in cinema.
this movie is so awesome, always a fun watch. the atmosphere is interesting, dreamlike but yeah, kind of “goofy,” although i feel like there’s a better word for it… it’s almost like 90s NYC camp, and i enjoy the self-aware superficial gloss. when this came out, not every movie had to be some massively hyped thing. pretty small movie in an era with a much broader spectrum in cinema, definitely found its niche.
You know, if you want another gen x classic lit modern adaptation starring Ethan Hawke there's Great Expectations from 1998. It's not as goofy, but I felt it was my duty to mention it!
So what you're saying is, that The Lion King is the best adaptation of Hamlet ever? Because I agree.
you should watch 1921 silent film Hamlet, wherein Hamlet is secretly female. It is genuinely one of my favorite movies ever. Asta Nilssen kills it!
Oh the DCEU was pretty popular, just not for the reasons they hoped 😂
No. This is really the best Hamlet movie. Granted, it's in competition with that boring Kenneth Branagh snoozefest and Oliver's Hamlet where he used voiceover, but it's great. In fact, Bill Murray is the first Polonius that made me actually care about Polonius. Usually Polonius is just a comic relief. The director also did a biker version of Cymbeline. With Ethan Hawke again. It's not bad. I feel like Cymbeline is such a ridiculous play that the ending should be played for laughs, but I was ok with it.
It’s not nepotism. It’s inheritance.
