Porting Noita main-branch saves to beta

moving a save file over is risky and could break your game, so be aware of the risks when doing this. to move a save file over, you first need to go onto the main branch of the game, and start a new game. then, load in the areas that you want to break and save and quit. then just launch them from noita beta and there you go!

Knowing what sort of game noita is I was expecting the first one to be nuke, at least it ended the run eventually

I recently got a cascade of god runs as a legacy of some previous god run: a ghost spawned with my utility infinite black hole wand - sure it erased all mines trying to shoot me, but it was absolutely harmless to me. Not only did I get infinite black holes endgame wand, but I do use wand refresh to occupy those remaining slots as extra storage... so yeah, you guessed right - it had all sorts of random various useful spells in it, such as speed up and lance. This started another god run, where that wand effectively kept its role as utility... GUESS WHAT HAPPENED some time later! Yes, ghost showed up again with my black hole utility wand, now from that other god run, with different spells stored after wand refresh, lmao. Went a little too well, I got OP and bored (did my 33 orb run already), so I decided to set a new depth record by using touch of gold on myself deep deep in hell, lol... I wonder when I'll encounter a ghost with black hole wand next time 😅

the odds of this happening is 0.139% chance so you got very lucky, and heres my math (1/6)*(1/5)*(1/4)*(1/3)*(1/2)*100 = 0.13888... (the *100 is to make it a percentage) I accidentally calculated for him to fire a nuke every shot someone corrected me in the comments, the actual number is 0.16667
Wrongly calculated. It's more like (5/6)(4/5)(3/4)(2/3)(1/2) = 0.1667 = 16.67% That is the chance he survived. Since 5 out of 6 were safe and then 4 out of 5 etc.
The odds of him surviving would be (5/6)*(4/5)*(3/4) and so on. You calculated the chance of him firing the nuke every single shot (and in your calculations after firing the nuke a firebolt gets erased).

wait that ends up equalling 1 I might have done my math wrong id like to see what you got and how you got it :) edit: nope I did my math wrong again lmao it ended up being 0.25
@@Temporary_yesyes I get 16.7%. The idea is that first you have 6 shots total 5 of wich are survivable (firebolts) so the chance of surviving the first shot is 5/6. Right after you have 5 shots total (because 1 is used up) 4 of which are good, so the next chance is 4/5. And so on. Then you multiply them all and get the 16.7% of surviving 5 shots.
The most horrifying thing to think in noita is "I wonder what would happen if..."
