I've got a similar cover to yours mate, mine is just 10 years older and has a few more rips... My boat doesn't live under an awning though, so it's important for my cover to be relatively tought to prevent any pooling from the rain.

Just bought a Anthem rod 10-15kg and a Gosa 14000, this is my new combo for Pelagics bit heavier than my normal setup I run for them which is Aird X 6 foot rod and Sedona 4000, been getting smoked too often on the light gear but man it's fun

For me the spin reel is more versatile, can be cast for gt’s , deep dropping and trolling.

We had just picked up our catamaran whilst I was getting things ready I thought my wife had put the bungs in. However, after 30 minutes, she was riding very low in the water. I jumped off and had to put my thumbs in the holes and my wife had to sail it back to the ramp.

That is so sad. I used to spend a lot of time on GK Island, I even Parachuted there! It would be great to see the resort restored along with the excellent Pool bar.

I worked there in 2000 in the bar and restaurant. Was absolute paradise as an 18 year old!! Had a great staff bar in the bush, pretty sure it was called Tom's, must have been named after someone but I can't remember the story. Always had a live band in the guest bar and was sooo much fun with amazing guests. There were 2 ways off the island, plane or by boat, you took the little train to the jetty and a small ferry took us to Mackay. So disappointing when I went online a few years ago to book a holiday to go back and saw it was abandoned.

That’s nuts! I tow regularly 2 tons at similar speed in my OLD 3.2 triton at 1600m altitude and get 13ltr/100 and my Freelander 2 often tows similar and returns 11 maximum. Most days less than 10l/100km. So those are shocking figures.

I am disappointed in my fuel economy , I was sold on 9.2 , and I was getting 11.8 on the dash , this was for every day driving, sometimes on the highway and , so end range was around 730klm , I know this silly but I want 800 comfortably. How do I reduce it , I drive in eco mode , givers notice the car revs a fair bit without even trying.

Is that out at Centre Island, we were up there in October and caught some great fingermark but no barra, others were getting barra though. Great place, was my fourth time, more to come.

Awesome ep and area and fish and crabs and series guys, The house boat would be a awesome trip for people that are time poor or work. Me on the other hand being retired Id rather do my own thing as better value for my money, As I get to stay up north or Weipa for 4 to 8 weeks for a bit more money

Lovely Ep and setup Paul, Would cost around $2000 each maybe. . Not for me I do not drink and I like to do my own thing, and to hot for me I like the winter months better up North, I tow my 5m tinny up above Weipa and camp on the Beach there every year for 4 to 8 weeks .

It’s actually a Plectopromus Maculatus or Bar-checked trout it Island trout. Common or leopard trout are caught in deeper water.
