Paid transfers will just create the horde/alliance dominated servers of 2019 classic. These mega servers will just create farming servers and playing servers.

But then Horde aren't gonna have anyone to gank in overwhelming numbers or levels anymore...

If SoM is anything to go by, BWL and ZG phase will be awesome and everyones ganna be popping off, but after that and the first couple of AQ 40 lockouts, people are ganna start leaving and not coming back. Moving to the mega server looks to be the best long term option

I dont like being soft cucked into playing with spurgs on crusader strike or the AU players ; Garbage in AV probably even worse in raids

Turtle wow does this and it contributes to the servers feeling so full so alive. Moving forward this is all we need, especially when classic + comes out.

Most guilds will jump to the mega servers and the left behind servers will be dead. Just my prediction.

This is either gonna go really good or really bad. Either way for the health and longevity of the game, it has to happen. I just worry about how they go about it, its Blizzard you know?

For SOD we shouldn’t be talking about PvP balancing at all. It’s too late and a lost cause. The issue with Paladin vs shaman is mostly an issue with alliance vs horde in PvE.

i just read a whining post of someone saying paladin is op because they have a pet now from the relic...like yeah tell me where the squire hitting for like 30-40 dmg per hit hurt you

If they think there's a content drought in phase 5, I'm sure they'll come up with some new daily for people to log on (hopefully not though)...lol. I will say though that the real token system has been nice in that raid people have another benefit from joining 5man/10man content still, so alts/fresh 60s can find grps faster. Maybe they can add new rewards in coming phases to further keep the interest in knocking them out here or there.

TBC was also my favorite expansion. It's amazing when you are on a good population server, but I think it's awful if not and you don't have enough people to group with. Honestly, if blizz is actually planning a classic + after SoD and give us more content like new raids, new/finished questlines, azshara pvp, etc. etc., I could see them taking us to TBC afterwards maybe. But if they don't plan on doing classic + but another xyz seasonal server, I'd choose SoD TBC lol. Although a lot of classes got improvements, TBC still wasn't perfect and it'd be cool if the rune system or something similar continued there. Heck, if they do a classic + that gives paladin and shaman to both races, but starting in classic, that'd be pretty fun too lol.

Horde shamans that rarely play 5mans will have to be reminded by melee to put down a windfury totem, as their windfury totem collects dust in raids for the rest of the game lol. Can finally let grace of air or threat reduce totem for range shine.

paladins are fine .. it is just their bubble that needs to be removed or made dispellable cause that bubble always was and always will be OP .. so fuck that bubble.SoD TBC? hell no. GDKP? nah fck that. and what is it about everything is expencive? materials for crafts are dirt cheap.

I think TBC sod would be cool but without Outland, if they made Hyjal a lvling up zone and another, add new raids, but keep Kara.

They hate paladins, bro. They aren't going to do anything to make them good. They want ret specifically to be bad. Ret problems go far beyond a simple exorcism spam fix or Seal Twisting (which sucks). SOD TBC sounds fun, TBH. I'd play.

The Norm in SoD PvP is that people want to force square pegs through round wholes then complain when it doesn't work. The most common example in SoD PvP is ALL IN on DAMAGE and if enemy lives it I die. Well Guess what... Paladin at 60 is almost custom made to poop on all-in classes when geared right. My best guess is that RECKONING Paladins were not a thing tell Phase 4 and now they are out and about in force. Holy Shock is a bit broken... but not SOOOO broken that its way out of line compared to other classes... she at least has mana issues compared to Shaman and Shadow Priest for example. As a general rule the TLDR here though is Tanky Dins > Glass Cannons in PvP... IF this wasn't the case the game would be broken... I mean imagine WoW where the PLATE WARING, RESIST GEARED, BUBBLE, RECKONING, EYE for an EYE Class... DIES to Glass Cannon builds on the reg? And then ask "Well if its like this for Paladins... what's PvP like for the other Classes?" BAD is the only real answer. Point is... if PvP is in a good state for most classes... Dins are going to be a little chad. Same with Shamans for similar reasons.

In a perfect world Blizzard would ban botters and gold buyers. GDKPs would reign supreme as the de facto pug raid format.

I hope the do some vanilla plus play testing stuff since it's basically a beta for vanilla plus to see how plus they can go with classes.

Instead of back rune change leg rune. There’s currently only 1 useful situational rune for ret/holy and it’s the fear totem. Warriors and rogues already have kicks in their kit.

tbh, i like tbc, but i worry it would be considered a failure for the direction many are hoping to see for classic+, flying mounts, and a separate open world, are the two main issues

I Think for the GDKP thing its still a no for me ofc you have these stories of people saying tons of their friends are now purchasing gold blah blah blah are all coming out in hopes to see GDKP's back its a very big plague on the game it OVERTAKES every other loot system in the game and all the people that say they don't is just delusional. On my cata server I play on NOTHING but GDKPs are advertised the main source for raiding on the server is a GDKP ring lead by 1 person that has something like 10 raids go off in a day and 10 another its crazy. These GDKP players just want it back in the game to pray off the people that want to just buy the gear for gold 100% I do understand that a lot of items in SoD rn have been very expensive and they should look into fixing that but dont bring GDKP back it would be a horrible idea.

The people who want GDKPs back are the people who expect to play 1 hour a week and have gold. You have to put in effort and actually farm to have gold. You shouldn't need to buy gold and if u don't have any time to farm the gold don't play world of warcraft and grow up. You're all adults you should understand time management.

100% agree with vanilla classes needing more fleshing out. It's not like vanilla wow got 12 patches with multiple class changes, and an individual patch for every class (except shaman who got tacked onto mage's rework patch) that overhauled the class.

So I see the health of many servers since I left has plummeted..rip

make a back rune that changes sanctity aura from 10% holy damage to str/agi (totem)

Be careful. Advocating raid wide mechanics is a slippery slope. You can now make the argument that every buff in the game should be raid wide.

Last phase should be a new raid / dungeon.

Hope it stays alive, I think the mega servers are gonna be good and pvp is miles away from any balance so people should just have fun with it and be open minded. Gdkp??? Hellll nah lol Warcraft logs are cool tool for raiders but I see how negatively effects pugging same as gear score add ons, but it’s not that big of a deal imo. Overall I’m having fun I got spinal reaper and it destroys in pvp. Raid wide wild strikes huge! I just wanna have fun and try jot to take it too seriously, even though sometimes I do.
