Destiny 2 is one of the most popular MMO or looter shooter games. Like warframe 1999 and destiny 2 the final shape guide. A lot of other people enjoy this game like Aztecross, xHoundishx, and castle content. I think people like Asmongold and tectone would like this would like it.

Warframe: The New Player Experience
the Dating Sim goes hard ngl
I never understood how people didn’t understand the start of the game, when I started playing stuff just made sense
warframe story slander is wild.
The games good whenever there’s nothing else going on. When they do decide to drop good content it’s during the worst moments possible.
The thumbnail is wild.
only 500 hours ?`oh sweet summer child you ain't done nothing yet! come back after a few thousand hours.
My friend currently has exactly 96,426 hours in Warframe right now and he says he has still only scratched the surface of what you can do in the game. He laughs at those who still have less than 10,000 hours. He says you guys are still babies in the game, that you haven't even got to mid game yet.
Just depends on how you play tbh.
9:43 " there's nothing holding you back" Age..?

If you want to do your first raid go with vault of glass it’s the easiest If you have the lightfall dlc than complete root of nightmares And if your really ready go for vow of the disciple it is the 2nd most confusing raid next to salvations edge
way better than warframe...if it had good devs. sadly the devs are now all mentally ill. both the low level devs and the guys at the top. i hope sony buys them out and makes the game good again cause its a shame to see such good gunplay and raids be wasted
Only 1000 hours? Phhh thats like *almost* the tutorial😂
2:55 Don't ever say that again. "This is What You Are" and "Ghosts of Void" are bangers and those are still early game stuff.
The movement and gunplay is definitely the best ive seen in any game. But my brain needs to have an end goal and if im to lost to make one up I cant get into it.
One thing I will say is that if you actually select a weapon or warframe in the plat store it does tell you how and where to grind for it Warframe does a decent job telling you the major things a new player needs to know as things like modding are really not to important till at the earliest Uranus or Neptune as thhat is when you start running into level 30+ missions
my eyes hurt from watching this video
I can't believe im still a new warframe player after playing for 200 hours (im a slow learner) i didnt complete the starchart yet (got done with new war tho which burned me out no cap) so yea.. cant wait to get to steel path when apparently the game actually starts
WTF is that thumbnail man
I honestly loved warframe since it was a part of my childhood and i grew up with it, but when i replayed it later as i got older, and discovered the reality of WF, i actually started to hate it from the bottom of my soul, for various reasons including but not limited to, the amount of time and money you have to spend to ACTUALLY progress in the game, and the fact that getting to endgame and understanding it is harder than understanding calculus on a deep level. Also about that it isnt “predatory” no, it isn’t completely but it definitely is. And even after all of this, i still miss playing warframe. Now that i think about it, kinda seems like an unhealthy toxic relationship.. yeah i already knew that deep down anyways.
My sincerest and simplest advice for Warframe is to do one thing at a time. Everything is so fun that if you, for example spend a week with the goal of building your rail jack or hunting liches while not doing anything else you will basically have a deeper understanding of the mechanics involved. I waited a full year to kill my Lich and now I'm addicted.
The reason why I can’t get into warframe, is that I don’t know what to do. Entering a game with such a large community and so much content is very intimidating. I didn’t know what to do, and didn’t how to do things. Building warframes took so much farming and grinding that it makes me lose interesting farming like half way through, and in general, I don’t know what I’m doing. I don’t know how to set up my warframe, weapons and stuff. The furthest I got was to the mission where I have to get the wings to fly in space, and I gave up.
Yo I'm a few years veteran and I think it's awesome you're getting into the game! I've done all the raids many times and love to teach them, I'd love to join your raid group:)
I got in the final stages of the new player experience(f2p) it's actually insane how boring the game becomes when you know there is 3 missions waiting for you as a endgame f2p player and on top of that not knowing if there is even a future for the game is so unmotivating, waisting all my time on a half dead game is not for me rip destiny community and rip destiny content creators.
Sounds like a person that complains about free money
D2 has 10/10 gameplay. Visuals are excellent. It's very fun to try all the different weapons and builds It runs good even on the older consoles (It's so much more pretty on the ps5 though)....... Butttttttttt, the story is terrible. That's not an exaggeration. The story hasn't been good in 4 years... Everything is locked behind a paywall. The company has removed DLC I paid for, in fact they regularly remove paid content. The game is time gated. Say you pay for a season, but, surprise, you have to work an actual job and can't play. You end up not being able to play the stuff you paid for and/or get the equipment associated with that content.... Also, the game isn't "pay to win" it's "pay to play"... The "free" part of this game is really just a demo.
𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚐𝚊𝚖𝚎 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎.
Tbh I still enjoy playing it. Yeah it's round 15$ for a dlc in USA but in Poland, where I'm from it's 120-220 of our currency, so way too much for an expansion. You said about making a raid group. Definietly do so, raids are one of the most fun activities to do here. Just make sure you're collecting the right people, the kind and patient ones. And do NOT start your raiding journey with The Final Shape's raid cuz it's very hard to understand if you're a beginner.
Removing content: almost 150$ worth just... Gone. (If we include the game I payed 60 bucks for becoming free, they removed around 200 dollars of value with ZERO compensation to veteran players) And honestly the pvp is what kept me going for a vary long time, I still think about going back just for that, but the balance was so horrible for so many years. Eventually I stopped playing. Going against No Time To Explain and it 2 tapping you for almost an entire year, high rpm pulse rifles just dominating the competitive scene. Low rpm Hand cannons becoming less and less viable. It was a hard defined meta for an extremely long time and became stale vary fast. The pay to win: give the new seasonal exotic weapon to those who payed for the season pass. Weeks before anyone else could get it in the free pass. A new UNBALANCED seasonal exotic.
Jesus
Don't even get me started on the rest of the pvp balance. As a hunter main... Let's just say they play favorites. And it's not hunters. It's titans.
Try setting the game to windowed fullscreen
I tried this already and it didn’t work sadly thank you though
destiny 2 is not as good as it could have been,, first off bringing back OLD wepons is a mistake and big supporters of homosexuals that's a absolutely unacceptable,, that's why a good portion of the exotic weapons are stupid,, they completely ruined the khvostov,,..
i love destiny the starting storie of D2 is what made me genuinely love it. Then they removed the whole reason for d2 starting. Got rid of ghaul and all of content that would actually entice new players and make the new player experience better. Plus they haven't done anything with pvp no new ways for you to farm weapons that are good in both pvp and pve but pve gets that. Then the only way to get the really good pvp weapons is to play when we have only a limited time event like iron banner or trials but you can always farm nightfalls grandmasters. Plus the only good way to get endgame materials is through grandmasters and nightfalls. you can't farm pvp and get enhancement cores or ascendent shards all the time only when you get trials or iron banner. but then again why would farm pvp when pve is easier. in any give trials game you win after you go flawless you can only get 1 ascendent shard but in one grandmaster completion you three. pvp is dead because their Is no balance in rewards and content.
if the term (*huge and massive wasted potential*) had a shape, it would be destiny, this franchise could be so much more, if it weren't for the greed and pure inhuman decency that bungie is
7:30 its pay to win because the best gear is locked behind 2 pay walls, you need to buy the DLC and then you need to buy the dungeon expension of the DLC
destiny just reached a point like 2-3 years ago where releasing a 3rd game wouldve just made sense story wise but they instead just removed half the content
Most PvP is done during events like Iron Banner or Trials of Osiris, and after Final Shape came out most players felt Destiny 2 was finally finished so they moved on to other games (record lows of player numbers for the most recent Season story Revenant), otherwise Gambit is generally more fun if you want PvP with PvE mixed in.
I’ll have to give gambit a try thank you
Gambit is fun. Iron banner is fun too. Regular crucible is not, much less comp. A bunch of sweats using nothing but meta loadouts. Don't go in there trying to experiment with a new build unless you wanna get destroyed.
Yo if you want some people to play pvp with hit me up we’ll get you setup
disc is same as yt name
I hate that this game Is free but you can't do like anything without spending money
Its free to experience
Campaigns, exotic missions, dungeons, altars of sorrow, strikes, nightfalls, grandmaster nightfalls, onslaught, every seasonal activity, PvP, Gambit, world missions and bounties, lost sectors, hidden treasure hunts,..... Don't act like there's nothing to do for free.
@@lucid8nightmarelucid8night88Dungeons aren't free half of the exotics are locked behind dlc the campaign is a mess even with the dlcs included the pvp is outclassed by MILES from modern games and it's funny that you literally mentioned everything that you can possibly do(that is fun) in such a short paragraph Destiny locks you at guardian rank 6 because you don't want to pay Don't try to say this game isn't pay to play
@@lucid8nightmarelucid8night88 bro its not this deep
You can shoot guns, but you can do that for free or paid. But that's about it
New player experience?what new player experience?
Exactly
havent had one issue with crucible games not finding people tbh. Play comp so you get placed in a bracket and play with people as bad as you thats what i do. Some of the other playlists do have god like players who dont die. You still get rewards even if you lose for most of the quests tho
I’ll have to try ranked then
If you haven't yet. Assess your resources, get a group together with khora, nekros, nova and (mag, trinity, or banshee), pop boosters, then camp farm materials for a couple days... sounds like ass? Well it is, but the payoff is worth it when you don't have to hunt down anything other than open world resources and argon crystals..
PvP isn’t dead but it does have its struggles. Mainly skill based matchmaking and connection based as well. The players guardian rank may have something to do with it as well but I’m not sure on that one. Oh and the difficulty aspect is one of the things I like and hate the most. So in the campaign mainly there’s a modifier that states the enemies get harder the more players you have in your team. Pair that with completing it on legendary mode(which gives you better rewards plus a light level boost) it makes doing the campaign with friends honestly slightly more difficult than it’s worth. You have limited revives, getting one respawn per person, as well as all the health bars are sometimes wildly Tanky.
Oh on the raids, I have a small group that can take you through all the raids, even explain the lore in most of them too.
if pvp aint dead then it's dying and real quick, trials numbers we're abysmally low the last time it was up and it takes 15 minutes to queue for a comp game
the game itself is dying
Also the fact that theres only 1 meta time at a time "so whats the meta?" "Hand canons" "ok *only plays handcanons for months because thats how overpower they are and how long they "fix it" * ...I still remember that time the meta was fucking Hand canons for like half a year or more,I dont even want to remember it no more
hey new player here, played all of d1 from release to end of its life cycle, i just bought the black friday sale of the full game of d2 and im currently 2009 light, i'd love to get to know the lore and mechanics of the raids and revist the remastered d1 raids! my bungie is SinForMeXO#4191
“Unemployed college graduate playing wf instead of looking for a job” is literally me
Y'all getting tore up in the background gameplay 🤣🤣🤣 6:41
No kidding it was a struggle
@@Magollon Hey you were learning the mechanics in real time. Nothing to feel bad about, New Light.
OH BOY, time to get much too involved and write an article once more lmao. The reason i wrote all of this is, so while seeing this video, people can read a few things about the game, and maybe save themselves from... even bothering. As someone who played both D2 for 1.900h and warframe for, uhm... 6.400h... i can say a little bit about both. And despite people saying you cant compare them, theyre different games, yada yada... imma do it anyways, just like everyone else. Both FEEL excellent to play (most times), peak gameplay, guns feel and sound nice, both still look incredible, with graphics that hold up to this day (most times), being stylized just enough to remove the need for photo realistic graphics, have (some) stories that are (most times) good but are told very complicated and hidden, lore thats interesting if you dive deeper then the game itself provides, but is very confusing at first and for many many hours afterwards, have concepts of sci-fi, fantasy, post-apocalypse and even eldritch horror, and the OSTs have absolute bangers, with ambient tracks that while forgettable, just are fitting as... ambience. Now the many parts why i stopped playing D2, many of which you have mentioned: - The company devolved into greedy goblins that fumbled approximately 350 times in a row despite having every chance to save themselves every single time, not listening to ANY player OR journalist feedback and criticism, and they deserve downfall. - You have to pay the price of 5 reasonable games to be able to fully get into this game, despite it being "free 2 play". It REALLY isnt, at all. I think they removed this example by now, but you could, and had to, BUY an expansion that they ALREADY REMOVED, to get some content from it. - Sticking with the topic, they remove old content, for no agreeable reason. Expansions you fully paid for, just removed like that. Then they lied about it, at first claiming they didnt have enough resources to keep everything in the game... which expectedly turned out to not be true, since they just said "Ok well stop" at some point, much too late tho. Even the MAIN STORY of D2 isnt available anymore. I personally dont know any other game that can claim they have removed their main story because of "resource issues". (Ik FF14 started over, but i didnt play it back then and have no idea what actually was removed, i cant speak on this, but my guess is it was more reasonable then how D2 did it.) - Microtransactions are mostly cosmetic, but not just, and ridiculously priced, and in my personal opinion, most equipment in the normal game looks like trash without cosmetics. Which for weapons are mostly limited to exotics. Which idk if that has changed, but you couldnt even color those last i played. And the shaders you HAVE to use to add colors, are shit, look like shit, and its just a shit system in general. - Despite being advertised as a looter shooter, you can shoot... but you dont get loot. Ok sometimes you do, but i stopped after lightfall big part for getting LITERALLY nothing from loot chests. No items. No resources. NO GLIMMER. (The arbitrary glimmer CAP didnt help.) And this wasnt a bug, and it wasnt rare, it was constant. D2 was the only game ive ever played, where you could get absolutely no reward from some content. Lightfall public events especially were notorious for giving you nothing out of the chest, despite having to do it for half an hour, with a very good chance of failing. - Mentioning public events, you had to be lucky to find other people for them, and the best part... they could just end, and enemies could just despawn, while you were doing them, even if youre a millisecond from completion. Also, the special conditions to make an event heroic, could be failed... and damn did public players fail them. Fun times. - Most important content you cant do solo. Even if you wanted to. There literally just wasnt a solo option for things like normal strikes or seasonal missions, exactly the things where i WISH i could go in solo, because it would have been EASIER, because some people in normal strikes literally cannot walk forward correctly. But in raids? "Sure you can enter solo, go off, have fun, lmao." But you couldnt just do raids, or dungeons, or nightfalls, or some other challenging content, with a random public group. Either it wasnt allowed and had to be pre-made, or a public group would end up working exactly as well as you would imagine it would. Not even worth trying. And D2 didnt seem to really have public match making for raids when i played, idk how it is now. So despite playing almost 2k hours, i never once did a single raid. I wish i could have. But i didnt know other people who played D2, and basically HAD to use the LFG-Destiny-Discord. And i did a few dungeons with groups from there... but it just wasnt for me. It wasnt even terrible or very toxic, but alone having to use an outside source to find players for content in an online game at all, left a bitter taste. Clans existed, but... i honestly never even remembered, noone talked about them, and most players just werent in one, there was basically no incentive. As a side note, the thing i hated most was that other people could collide with you, and move you around. And they did. Mainly to annoy you. Throwing you off cliffs, elevators, into lasers, explosions, etc. People in this game were TOXIC. IN. PVE. And not just as in writing funny stuff in chat, because noone even fcking uses the chat in that game, but they literally killed you if they didnt like you. Imagine that in a coop game without friendly fire for a goddamn second. The only real warframe comparison i will make here is, you CAN do everything solo if you can handle it, and its not unreasonable to get to that point. Elite Deep Archimedea, Netracells, and Archon hunts, are the only content i understand, and would even suggest, getting people for. However, if you yourself can handle anything at all, you can always gear up prepared as if you had to solo it, and just rely on others to rezz you. If they can kill stuff, thats a bonus for me. By the way, people in wf at least rezz most times. People in D2 dont even rezz you if they stand literally over your corpse, in missions where you cant rezz yourself. Also characters have no collision in wf and cant get into each others way, peak. The last drop for me was the Lightfall story... and Nimbus... the amount of bad writing and terrible decisions is actually hard to match imo. Which was especially shocking, since the season right before that (seraph), had an ending that hit me personally so hard i actually cried. Also because the song for it was so goddamn good. That never happened before in this game for me, and made me finally feel invested in the story. It was emotional, and added something something never seen before (spoiler)... the traveler moved (lol). That actually made me want to see more for one of the first times ever. And then the more came. And it was Lightfall. And it slammed me on the ground, and didnt stop kicking me in the face. And i still finished it. It made me quit so hard i didnt even look at the newest expansion so far. I WILL play it someday, but only when its on sale for like 10 bucks. I heard it wasnt as bad, but... that wasnt enough for me to just get it, and i will never seriously start playing D2 again. Anyways, best part about Destiny story telling? "Go to the teleprompter at the other end of the hub, to speak with a hologram of this character that is LITERALLY standing right in front of you RIGHT NOW. Then, travel to the teleprompter in a whole different hub, to speak to a hologram of a character that was standing RIGHT NEXT of the teleprompter you were at before. Oh, you also get literally nothing for this interaction." Peak game design, 11/10, i hate it.
I agree they did fumble a lot of stuff like that, but if they just handled the game with the same care that warframe was handled with, it would’ve been one of the best multiplayer games ever
@@Magollon Probably, depending on a lot of factors. I would have given D2 the title for "Most actually good potential wasted in a single video game", but actually, more and more games are rushing to claim that title by the month now. c':
@avraelasgard True, the only game I’m extremely hyped for is the riot mmo, which has no trailer or release date or no real information. It might come out in like 5 years or never come out at all, so I’m really hanging on for dear life with that

0:22 you've been streaming? YOU DID 1 FUCKING STREAM
Souls like? Its nothing like any souls game
One reason there are so many veterans in "midgame" is that an identifiable path of progression through its content has only recently coalesced. Back in 2021 Warframe was a blob of interesting but disconnected systems and content islands, but since then the new creative direction team has managed to establish a through-line of connection between many of them. For example, Narmer bounties provide a focus point between the open worlds. Doing each story quest unlocks more content and story quests, making it clearer which was is "forward". Now Deimos unlocks The New War which unlocks Incarnons which lead to Duviri, etc.
Ngl........this kinda has me giving some newfound consideration to the whole "pay to story skip" idea.
5:10 That's right, double down on em, squad! 😂❤
