Great concert! I love this band. Notice the stage dive...I was worried he hurt himself but he kept singing despite the crowd being able to catch him. He came up strong though!!!!

The guy who went up is not a quadriplegic, you have total balance control. A spinal cord injured person changes everything; especially on the descent, as you do not need to recline the chair back.

I am due to get a new wheelchair and I am REALLY really really hoping I get a permobil. From what I've seen and read about it, it's just a better quality chair than the others. Hope I can get one.

Dear Traveler, I just read your comment and I could not believe to my eyes. I was on that plane too and sitting directly close to the blind guy. You did not understand anything at all or you are faking (for which purpose?). The bling guy did not open the overhead compartment for taking his cane.. He had his telescopic white cane in his pocket and he desplayed it only for walking towards the pilot cabin. He was not swinging his cane at all. You could not even evaluate how tall he was (he is 6 feet, not more). It seems to me that you were frightened and so you could not properly judge the situation. Are you the same poor scared Troas who sent this item to RUclips? Everything that you wrote is wrong. The flight was far later than an hour and we had received no explanation about what was happpening. Even the detail that the blind guy was a professor is wrong. No newspaper said that. He was a frelance conference interpreter for the UE Commission in Brussels. And,,as an answer to other commentators, he is neither Belgian nor American.

This is an extremely late reply to this video, but I just found this clip. I was a on this flight sitting just a few rows away, and witnessed the whole scenario from beginning to end. I remember this experience well, and still talk about it when the subject of air travel comes up. First and foremost, the flight was only one hour late due to a mechanical problem. The lights had been dimmed for evening travel, so the cabin was pretty dark. While the aircraft was taxing to the runway this man was yelling loudly and complaining that he wanted the plane to take off right now. No one knew he was blind. He stood up and was about 6' 4" tall. He opened the overhead compartment and took out his guide cane and started swinging it around as he yelled he wanted us to take off now! A female f/a approached him, also not knowing he was blind, and he started swinging it towards her. Next, a male f/a saw the commotion and arrived from the front of the cabin. They both were trying to reason with him to put the cane away and sit in his seat, as they dodged his cane. They said it was against regulations to be up and and standing with the overhead compartment open while the aircraft was moving. They told him the plane was making it's way to the front of the line to take off. The man was adamant and would not comply. He keep screaming he wanted to take off now, swinging the cane around, barely missing people's heads, as he continued to become more and more aggravated. The male f/a told the female f/a to call the captain and inform him of the situation while he continued to reason with this irate man. The man was completely unreasonable and would not sit down and continued to swing the guide cane. In the crew's eyes the cane could cause an injury and this man was a major disruption to the flight. This is what ultimately caused the crew to make the decision to go back to the gate and have this man removed. They didn't want a person with this explosive disposition on an eight hour flight. Once the captain announced they were going back to the gate the man sat down, but continued yelling. The bottom line is he was a danger to both the crew and passengers. It was because of him the flight was further delayed. There was an article the next day in the Philadelphia Inquirer describing the story. Ironically, it turns out this man was a professor at a university in Brussels. He actually bit one of the policemen on the hand. Not the behavior one would expect of a college professor. He was arrested and put in jail. In closing, anyone who flies often knows that there are many variables in air travel, i.e., weather, traffic, etc. If you ask me, blind or not, he deserved what he got.

In europe you have to have lights by law so thats why they don't charge for it. I bet the chair is $1000. more in Europe is how they work around that.

Something is funky with that TDX. I think mine would go up that path without too much trouble. Looks like that battery is low or the electronics are funky. My main reason I say this is because the tires would spin

This man had mental issues. He did not act that way for being blind, if you think so please go look up what blind means, because clearly you do not know. Also he was miss treated you do not go up to a blind person and do something to them. I can't tell you how many times I've been shuvved through doors and treated like a child. The officer was in the wrong, and I hope he got fired.

@troas76 of course you can resit arrest if you do not know why you are being arrested. However yea def that guy was immature, and I personally think most of PA people act like immature spoiled brats, they feel like they deserve everything, and everything should be done at their very demand.

Never, Never, Never scream at the police, your boss, your teacher, someone that has power over you :) i've never seen anyone winning with the powerful ones. simple-you scream at the police, you get fine, or will be treated with the paralyzer. your boss - you will not get promoted, or will just be fired from the work. teacher - you get bad grades ( usually ). you always loose :) thats why i'm always quiet, and humble :) and most of the times win!

the man was right. As usual the american make a lot more out of it than it really was. The man just wanted to get off the plane. LET HIM!!!! And then cuff him? How nuts are those Americans?? They make it a lot worse by doing that. Look how they treat that poor man. He's blind for goodness sakes!!!!! Couple of hero's. I'm surprised they didn't 'zap' him.
