I really want to be an EMT but the hours I hear are crazy. I don't want to neglect my family if I sign up and become an EMT and working all those hours, I wouldn't be able to see my family or spend time with my kids very often.

More accurate title would be “Day in the life of an IFT EMT”

I'm a veteran with a bad back and I'm pretty sure the answer is no but could I be an emt with my chronic pain some days are worse than others but now alot of times I'm relatively ok its always there but I'm used to it now and I'm doing my best to get my back better but I love helping people and saving lives I've thought about emt for a lil while now

Hey so I know this video was 4 years ago but for someone who is looking to become a EMT what would you recommend doing for high school classes?

It seems everyone nowadays say that most introductory classes are now the new weed out classes. I think this is a result of people being unprepared for college and the situation has gotten worse after COVID.

I was an emt for 10 years. Even took my nursing pre reqs. Decided I was done with the medical field. A very hard choice for me. I changed careers. Very happy with my decision and still feel fulfilled with what I did as an emt but that chapter of my life is now over. All you nurses, emts, medics, firefighters and police officers…stay safe out there!❤️

I work for Acadian ambulance services where we respond to both 911 emergencies and transport. I get paid 15 an hour. I could get more somewhere else but I’m thankful to do my job and hope I can get my medic so I can make more
