I have a picky 5 month old. She takes a few bites then takes a lap around the sun. Then she comes back, finds a spot and waits for me to toss them at her likes it’s a game. The final boss after that is she goes into her bed and makes me place them randomly. My Snow girl is a little bougie but hey we get to learn from each other everyday 😅. Love all your videos 🙏🏿💙

My new 3 month old is an F1b and her fur is so very fine. She’s black and white. Pretty sure, in spite of husband paid 1200$ for her as a gift for me (I didn’t know) that she came from a puppy mill. Looked them up and they breed a ton of dif breeds. I’m so upset, because I think they used the same male poodle for her grandmother as her biological mother. Any pointers on the fine fur. She looks more like a havanese, which they also breed as havapoos. 🤨. 😡

Sweet baby girl! It's so hard to see them go through things like this. Highly recommend sedation meds for dogs going through a spay... we have a very active rescue Corgi who would certainly injure herself if she didn't have some sedatives on board. She's healing now (beautifully and without any signs of pain or discomfort - unless you count the grievances she has about the "cone of shame" 😂). Our vet gives trazodone and gabapentin (she's already on gabapentin for hip issues/pain). I don't care for meds like Rimadyl (carprofen) or other NSAIDS (especially for Corgis given their genetic predisposition to kidney issues) and this combo seems to be fine for controlling her pain (and she's not shy about vocalizing if she's in pain/upset, etc.). I did let them do the shot of Rimadyl before going home, but that's it. The vet can also prescribe Tramadol for pain relief which is NOT an NSAID and works just as well without some of the more serious potential adverse reactions. Hope that helps anyone going through this with their furry baby! My girl is my first female dog, but I've had years and years of experience with male dogs, dog rescue and all sorts of surgery (my own and my animals) so I am pretty well versed in meds. Vets (just like human doctors) will tell you all sorts of things are "totally safe" (including some well known - and very much NOT safe - dog food brands). I always suggest doing your own research with everything that involves your animals. They give us so much - they deserve the very best!

Please don't put your dogs in crates. This is an awful fad that has become popular. I get claustrophobic looking at poor dogs locked up in a cage. I think it is dangerous when left home alone. They have no freedom to escape any dangers. Im particularly thinking about fires right now.

Both my cavoodles became fussy of their raw food at 11 months old but I persisted. They simply fasted for a day, became hungry and then ate. It's as simple as that. Lol. The fussiness lasts a bit and now they eat all the raw foods.

How did you potty train the first 2 weeks?

From Canada as well. What airline did you fly? Most airlines if not all, on paper say that the carrier is about two inches smaller in the length of the carrier. The Sherpa carrier, flattens several inches at the top so it can fit under the seat. The medium Sherpa meets the exact size requirements posted by Westjet, yet I do see people who bring on larger dogs than ours. Our dog would be more comfortable in the large size Sherpa which is 19 inches like yours, but not sure how strict they are if the carrier is soft sided and meets all of the things they ask for. Our dog is currently about 11 lbs and will only be about 15 lbs in total when fully grown which meets the weight requirement. I can bring her in the medium size but not sure if they care if it is medium or large as long as it is a carrier that is deemed "airline approved". Have you flown in the past year with your dog? If so . what airline and what was your experience?

What works with my cavapoo is I spoon feed her hahaha not ideal but her pickiness or whatever is very annoying

I just got my little Cavapoo (Teddy) and he is the best little guy ever!! He follows me everywhere.....even to the toilet!! When I take Teddy for a walk, the whole neighborhood says hi to Teddy and me!! As a retired guy, kids out of the house, etc, he is GREAT for me!!

A lot of breeds have separation anxiety. Crate training is not only good for your dog when you’re not home but also if you are busy in the house. Up until they are about two I would not let your dog run around alone unless you can give full attention. The reason for this is they could cause harm to themselves. When you do go out your dog will feel more secure in a den like environment (the crate)

I have a cavapoo myself and I comb and brush him with a slicker brush usually every day but his hair looks poofy and not really silky ig you could say. When he was a puppy he has silky wavy hair all over his body but now just his ears are like. Is there something I’m doing wrong or something I could do to make all his body that way?
