Common problem with series club cars. Solenoid clicking in forward but won’t go. Shift to reverse and it works fine. The forward reverse switch is a common area for loose connections causing heat to build up and ruin the contacts.

The newer version of windshield without the clear tape style hinge on a club car carryall. This is from 10L0L and it is superior to the old ones. Has a nice hinge and is a bit thicker than most. Nice clear polycarbonate.

The install of this windshield was tricky, to say the least. An install video would be appreciated.
4:00 of guff before he even gets to the battery… zzzzz
There's a little red slider at the bottom of the player, feel free to scrub to the part you want to see. That's what its there for. Thanks for watching that 4 minutes though….ZZZZZ.
what is that...
Have you done this with an Ezgo RXV. Did everything in video on my RXv with auto break and hooked up to “B” on key harness, everything work on accessories but will not forward or reverse. Any thoughts?
I haven’t done it on an ez-go yet. Let me do some research and see what else could be happening. What year model?
@@DoItWithDean 2017
It did help. Thanks so much.
I am thinking I made a mistake and purchased a 48v 105 ah skinny lithium battery and I didn't realize I have a plastic battery tray. Is there an easy way to make the skinny battery fit or to add a metal/aluminium tray that will comfortably fit the skinny battery? I have a club car precedent
@@xKodak34 can you send a picture?
I have cut out the middle plastic section of precedents to make the batteries fit nicely. If you can send a picture of what you are working with I may can offer a solution
@@DoItWithDean I am not home tonight but when I have a chance tomorrow I will for sure get that over to you!
@@DoItWithDean Do you have an email I can send the photo to?
Hi, How do you like the Cloud Energy Now?
Absolutely love it. I now have two!
Hi Dean, If I remove the OBC do I still need to put Yellow wire on B negative terminal. If I leave it in do I leave it plugged into other end? Thanks
Hi Keith. I think the answer to your question is yes. It needs to be grounded. It makes the cart think it’s ok to charge without it. In my case I’m not using the charging port. If you take the fuse out by your charging port and leave the port in place it should be ok. But, if you remove the plug like I did you have to ground it or it won’t work like it should. I’m not sure what you are planning on doing for a charger.
I just bought one of these. I was very impressed with how rigid it is with only the two bolts holding it. The welds, paint and overall fit was impressive for $57.99.
I think its the best buy for the money!
Hi, great video, but I have a silly question: did you use a 12V or 48v relay in your circuit?
@@DennisCummings-u8d I didn’t mention it but it has to be a 48v relay.
Do you have a link for relay?
This model is a 2001 carryall 2. Very similar to DS in parts but with a dump bed. I looked into the RTS as well, there have been some issues with them just like the MCOR. I think I’m going to convert to the fourth generation and stay with club car OEM MCOR.
Thanks for the trouble shooting and repair video. I don't recognize your cart model, the parts, controller relay & F & R switch are the same as my 2001 DS, but from the video the controller is in the wrong location. Anyway my next MCOR replacement will be the RTS Throttle with the wire wound potentiometer. It's expensive but I think that I will have to break the bank. Nice job with the 12V distribution panel.
Thanks for watching. Mine is a 2001 Carryall 2. Very similar to the DS line.
Good video I plan on doing this
Cool. Thanks for subscribing!
did you change the motor or controller to 48 volt ? or it's a 36 with a 48 volt battery, not sure if I missed that in the vid
@@mikeq5664 no. Factory 48v cart with factory Curtis 300a controller. Only thing I did was put lithium battery in it and bypass oBC.
@@DoItWithDean Mine is a 36 v but like to upgrade to lithium as well, ...thanks
Thanks for the videos. I found your channel today when I needed to bypass the obc on a carryall that I got last week. I started a channel a couple of months ago, under a different account, and recently started putting videos my existing RUclips videos on Rumble, too. You might want to look into it so you get more exposure. Good luck with the channel!
Thanks, I’ll Check out Rumble!
Looks like the wind would blow through the middle?
@@BobSmith-cs9nq just a little. Not usually a problem for me here in Texas!
Hey dean have you had any issues with the battery cutting out on you? I just got my installed and the cart run great but I’m noticing the battery is just cutting out on me randomly. Takes about 30-60secs and then it’ll run again.
@@ExploreFamilyChiropractic while h battery don’t have and what is your cart? It sounds like your BMS is tripping.
Which battery do you have
@@DoItWithDean I have the 48v 60 ah battery in my 2011 club car precedent. I tried to see if there was maybe setting I could access in the app but I couldn’t figure out how to pair my phone to the battery.
@@ExploreFamilyChiropractic do you know what the BMS is on that battery? I’m not as familiar with that one if it is a cloud energy battery. You really need a least a 200a BMS in most carts or it will shut down occasionally to protect the battery. Check and see how many amps you are pulling uphill and wide open. My carryall never draws over about 180 and it runs wide open at around 74a
@@DoItWithDean yea it has a 200a bms in it as well
At the end of your video. Your showing what is all connected to your negative terminal. Your linked video pops up with misic and blocks your audio. What were you saying to the negative? Main ground, battery charger ground, and what elae? Thanks!
Sorry, the third thing is the negative for my 48v to 12v converter.
Great video! I just ordered the same battery for my Yamaha G29 cart. We're you able to get ahold of Cloudenergy by phone? I've only been able to communicate with them via WhatsApp messages.
@@mrtosh no sir, but if you email them Dylan will respond quickly. Their hours are opposite ours but at night it’s very quick. Great guys.
@DoItWithDean Dylan definitely does respond quickly. Did they mention if the lcd screen is water resistant at all? Also did you have to adjust your BMS for heavier loads/hill climbing?
@@mrtosh they didn’t say if the screen was water resistant but mine stays out in the weather and I have seen no moisture intrusion. I have not needed to mess with the BMS. I have tried to trip mine by climbing steep hills etc., but mine has never shut down.
@@DoItWithDean Good to hear! Does the screen time out or do you have to turn it off?
@@mrtosh it times out if it’s idle. Long press the button for several seconds and you can force it off.
I think you are absolutely right.
The holes are for spot lights or flood lights is my guess
nice 👍🏼 my same setup does 16mph its a 6 seater voyager before it would do about 12mph
Looking at adding this battery to my 2015 ezgo. Everything still going good. Looks to be a good battery
Yes. I have purchased a second one now for my other cart. Works well , great range, lots of get up and go.
@@DoItWithDean thanks for the response. Just ordered
Did you get your battery installed? How is it?
@@DoItWithDean I did. It’s performed great. I do have an issue with it not showing the correct percentage left. The included display and the phone app will show 66% left but the cart loses all power. Then both will switch to zero. Contacted them and they said to do at least 5 charges and see if it corrects itself. They responded right away and told me if it didn’t they would send a brand new battery. Good folks to deal with.
@@DLXSKIFFMITCHELL awesome. Yea, they have great customer service.
Can you share what you bought for your 12v set up? I'd like to have that all planned before I order. Thanks for your video! Also. Do you feel it is really 400amp peak discharge for 30 sec? And the 200 amp constant draw is legit as well?

@@DoItWithDean your the man! Sorry for so many questions, but its a big investment. I appreciate your time. Do you happen to know what the difference is between the 42 volt 100 amp batteries they sell? there is the GFA-48v the on you have and GFS-48 thats $400 more. I see it has metal handles built into the top and is just heavier. Is it just a steal case vs plastic case? if thats it, is there any real advantage that your aware of with the steel case? Again thanks for all your time and help!
Message me on Facebook and I’ll send you a diagram of how I wired mine in.
Whats your FB, i'd appreciate the diagram if you willing to share! Thanks!
I didn't see your channel on Facebook. So you leave the connector attached and cut yellow wire before it enters the obc and ring it to the b-.
@@tinysparky which connector do you mean? If you are talking about the plug to the obc then yes, you can leave it attached if you want. I leave the OBC in place and just clip that yellow wire then put a ring terminal on it to the b- on the controller.
thank you I just installed mine yesterday and figured out what you were saying. Now I need to figure out how to do the 12v reducer so all my factory lights work
I added a video of how I made 12v step down converter, check it out.
Yea the converter goes to a 12v fuse block that I use for lights, usb charger, etc. and I will post a driving video asap
thank you im getting ready to install mine just confused on that yellow wire at the controller box
your 12v converter is only for accessories right? Please post a follow up video on that yellow wire and a driving video
hey 👋🏼 You responded a few days ago on Facebook about lithium batteries and you recommended this kit just ordered it today
At 24:39 I’m talking about what to do with the OBC. After the video was filmed, I realized that when I cut and terminated the wires for the factory charging port, that you still have to ground the yellow wire that goes into the OBC. If you don’t,the cart will drive but it will have maybe 1/4 power. It acted real strange. I cut the yellow wire going into the OBC, put a ring terminal on it and out it onto the B- terminal of the controller. Then the cart had full power. It’s all stock with 23” tires on 12” wheels. I’m getting 21 mph cruising on flat ground. I went 31 miles on 50% of the battery.
