and you can't forget all the loot helmets. I also have a nice air raid helmet that was previously worn by the Russians. take a look at us. Greetings from the assembly point
God the krauts we’re drippy
Der Panzer ( singular)/ die Panzer (plural). The s is not necessary. Without the s you sound german and can write a small bit faster.
Go more in depth. There were dozens of different camo variants
The vocal fry doesn’t make you sound cool. More like a douche bag
I got a flawless and mint condition (apart from some oil stains) one as a work helmet to not hit my head every time I go into a short ceilinged place or a forest or my van. It was 3.5 $ at a serbian trash dumo/junk yard. Buut now I might even give some "mods" 😉
Very informative and nicely made. Thanks!
Каиши су срање,стално шљем пада напред
Volkssturm is in german language spoken Folkssturm, not Wolkssturm.
The Luftwaffe actually came up with a completely independent Splitter tarn pattern B. By order of Hermann Göring, to differentiate his Fallschirmjager from that of the Wheremacht, and later Fleiger Ground Forces. Go back and study the pictures closely, and you will see the difference? Any way, we all have much more to learn on such subject matter. Thank you for video
Would be interesting to see someone remanufacture these helmets with better metal or better liners
the voice difference lmao
Two different people lol. I run this channel with my friend and we both make videos.
@@its-antiquitas ooohh hahaha that makes sense
2:00 I think most people watching this are watching specifically for the SS camo patterns
There is a part 2 out that covers the SS patterns in case you’re interested
Im just discovering a new SS Camouflage its faded purple ,black and neon lime green
You need to get on with it.
i was thinking a similar concept about modernizing a M89 only the pads and chinstraps however the are hard to come by
I need þe sequel!!!
You wanted a comment, here is a comment. Thank you for the informative video.
Bundeswehr does an American version of Flecktarn called Multitarn. The biggest flop. It not only hurts German military culture but it’s a downfall since European forest ain’t even that bright. Flecktarn is better than Multitarn
I wear an oak leaf smock from At The Front hunting in Virginia . Very effective camouflage !
How dumb would it be to try to create mould over the top using fiberglass and canvas like cheap body armor to make it extra bulletproof??
They can take 22lr at point blank. I wish I could share a picture of it here
I have the same piece, it has two stumps, a king's head and a knight
What was "high quality" steel? High carbon, alloy or what?
Do it😊
Good Work💪💪
Background music pls ?
There actually is background music but it’s relatively quiet. It seems to be a bit quieter than normal in this video, so I’ll make sure to turn it up next time.
Lol sorry I was asking what the background music you have chosen because I like it.@@its-antiquitas
Oh, it’s Chariots of War by Aakash Gandhi!
thank you@@its-antiquitas
During my first years in the Swiss army, we had a pattern very close to the _Leibermeister_ pattern. We nicknamed it the _Vierfruchtpyjama_ (Four fruits pyjama)
To be honest i did that to my pasgt helmet, is the only one i have. I bought an airsoft helmet for the strap and the inside. Put it into the pasgt and done. Simple as that.
Blurred edge was the best
Flecktarn....
one thing that i cant find answer for anywhere is if something similiar to normandy camo pattern was used on eastern front?
Really good video mate
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
I own one too😁
Excellent video. Concise but covered all patterns used including the Italian 1929 pattern 👍
pretty good video (idk what to comment, but i wanted to comment something at all)
44 Dot was to be the Utility Combat BDU at least for the Waffen SS. It is interesting as well the Italian Camo was also used by German troops, that being of the 1SS and 12th SS, Late 43
I own a dress bayonet from my uncle. It's in a very good shape. The only issue is that it can't be fixed on a K98k with the cleaning rod in position.
Son desagreable....
I have an early model M34 with the raised air vents.
Did I miss pea dot?
Thanks for watching! I made a second video going a lttile more in depth into Waffen SS camo patterns. Here it is: m.ruclips.net/video/9cbCOTUQKlE/видео.html
A good introduction to the subject, concise but fairly comprehensive. I'd object to the term "elite" being applied to the Waffen-SS as a whole. It *might* be applied to the first 12 divisions which were mostly ethnic Germans, but even if one excludes the high-numbered 'foreign legions' which were often of dubious combat value, even the low-numbered ones often showed themselves to be no more or less capable in action than their Army counter-parts. I'm also not sure the SS camo was the "best" as this is subjective. US Army tests found that camo made troops on the move more likely to be seen than those in plain olive drab uniforms, for example, and the value of camouflage obviously varies dependent on the terrain. Those minor points aside, I enjoyed the presentation and I liked that this second part had more of a timeline established for the introduction of the various patterns. Supporting imagery was really good too.
Post war multi cam /dpm seems is still hit and miss with Constant Introduction of new ideas and forms being issued on regular Bàsis
Visitors to my own channel keep asking me to do a video on this subject, and I always tell them I'd rather let someone with a passion for the subject cover it instead. Looks like you've got it covered, I enjoyed this presentation, particularly the images you selected. If I had to suggest anything, it would be adding the names of the camouflage and items in text on the screen so readers unfamiliar with the terms could better understand. I like that you kept it to two minutes but still managed to go over a wide array of items.
Yeah these helmets are dirt cheap compared to any other steel helmets. I picked mine up for only $20 a few months ago, while the m1s were going for over $150 for some reason. These things will technically stop a 9mm, although if it's anything other than a hollow point you are going to get serious head trauma. I'm curious how you will end up modernizing this. I've thought about seeing if i can glue some nvg mount to it but tbh I don't trust any glue that might melt off when the helmet gets hot. Probably would have to weld or secure it with screws through the helmet or something.
Good luck, man! I'm currently trying to do the same, but with a repro factory seconds M15 Adrian helmet. Hopefully, I can make a video on the result.
Thanks! I plan on releasing a part 2 to this video soon. I'd love to see how your repro adrian turns out!
Mint video thoroughly enjoyed watching, and ive actually got a replica zeltbahn in reversible oakleaf.
Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Oak leaf and dot44 are some of my favorite German camouflage patterns.
@@its-antiquitas oakleafs nice because it fits well into the environment around me
Cool video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
