Hello Brandon, I’m glad I found this video. My name is Mike Earls, I’m Jack’s son. In case you were wondering, Jack is still alive and just celebrated his 90th birthday last month! If you have any questions about his time in Memphis, I’d be happy to answer them. I was also born in Memphis but we moved in the late 60’s to Detroit. Thanks again for the video, I’ll show it to him when I see him this week. ✌️

Michael great to meet you! I remember when I was doing research on this video I remembered reading he moved to Detroit. Please let me know if he likes the video and tell him I hope I got everything right. See if he remembers if the location of the house was correct. I am also very interested in The Palms where he was a house band. I read he performed there up into the early 60's. Love his music and such an interesting story. My email is brandon@meteortours.com.

Hi Brandon, sorry for the late reply. I did watch your video with him. He loved it! He played at the Palms Club as the house band for 6 years! Sadly, my dad passed away on June 12th, peacefully with all of his family around him. I can’t thank you enough for your videos. The next time I’m in Memphis, I’d love to have a cup of coffee and maybe share some of the stories he told about those days. Much love to you and yours. ❤
