As a Rockabilly entertainer and musician, Brandon performs his tribute to Sun Records on Beale Street at Blues City Cafe every week. Brandon grew up an Elvis fan and gravitated more to his early sound. That was when he learned about Sun Records and his love of Rockabilly Music. He has been performing for over ten years in Memphis with a show dedicated to the music of Sun Records. Whether it's Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, or any other artists that recorded there, Brandon gives you the history and the stories behind each record. www.brandoncunning.com
Brandon was also a singing tour guide in Memphis for over five years. He also loves classic cars and has his own 1955 Chevy Bel Air that he calls Maybellene. As a tour guide, he decided to combine his love of Memphis history and classic cars by opening his very own Tour Company called Rockabilly Rides. Within a year, it was the Number 1 Tour Company in Memphis, according to Tripadvisor. He received over 400 5-star reviews as a tour guide giving a musician's insight into this famous music city. He is getting ready to reopen his tour company called Meteor Tours. There will be no tours in the classic 1955 Chevy Bel Air, but guests can still enjoy Brandon on a tour of Memphis. www.meteortours.com
His love of music doesn't stop there. Brandon was a radio disc jockey even before being an entertainer and entrepreneur. He was the afternoon DJ on the oldies station in Memphis and has worked at various other radio stations. Brandon truly loves the music from Memphis and loves sharing that history with you. You can also catch Brandon every Friday with his 45 Of The Week live stream. He performs a record from his collection and gives you its history. He also interviews guests, including artists who have recorded at Sun Records.
