Thanks Phil the plan was a test run and a quick try for some mackerel then come back in but the swell put an end to that lol. Yes it a great club to be fair enough room both sides to launch. We can come in and out three hours either side of high water

Quite a shock mate I think it’s down to the ethanol. Even though I only use the super unleaded that still has 5% ethanol and over time it’s done that. That’s my theory at the moment lol

@@boatfishingscottyano That's interesting. I was advise by the outboard engineers who fitted my new Tohatsu to only use E5 which is what I've been doing. My fuel line looks fine ( three years old ). I'll be keeping an eye on it now I've seen yours. I've a spare onboard just in case. Cheers Phil

@anotherangleUK yes definitely wouldn’t use e10. But to be honest I’ve had the boat 8 years and not changed it👀. So probably much older than that. I have read too that the grey fuel hose isn’t the best so I’m hoping the hose I have fitted now will last ok. Cheers phil

@@boatfishingscottyano The one I have came with the new Tohastsu. I saw cheapies on the various sites but decided to stump up cash for a genuine replacement as a back up. I'm not convinced the cheap ones have the same quality rubber hose / primer bulb.

I know it’s baffled me Troy. The plastic insulation on wires was damaged too but the wires inside were fine it’s really strange. I might have had a fuel leak inside the trunking maybe. There was a join on the pipe right in the middle and the rubber grommet does smell a bit of petrol

Not sure Scott something melted the insulation on the wiring harness too. Never seen it before

I’m guessing ethanol but never use the e10 but saying that the super is e5 so still ethanol in it. Maybe over time it’s eaten into it. It was out of the sunlight inside the trunking so easily missed

@toadfishuksportangling2690 it was from a place called flood marine. I didn’t know at the time but it was in Ireland but it didn’t take long to come. It’s been on my mind for a while too changing the pipes. I did the one from the tank to the water separator but not that one.

The grommet ain’t cheap as always lol bloody £64
