    How long does the Boiled Linseed Oil take to dry between coats. Did your finish eventually get dry and loose tackeyness ? I am in the middle of a boilded linseed oil finish on a tele body and neck. It seems to take a long time to get dry and sandable.

    Everyone on luthier discussions says wipe on poly sucks. Im not sure what is is even used for. Ive learned never to clear coat until I get a proper gun to spray at high pressure with fine fine texture. No rattle cans ever again. Probably sticking to boiled linseed oil on the body as well as the neck, which means the body must be stained not painted. I think BLO would go over that red trans. Beuatiful as HELL btw.

    • @sebsguitarworkshop
      @sebsguitarworkshop 4 месяца назад

    This is so cool to see! I am doing a build with a roasted maple neck which needs to get darker to match the roasted swamp ash body. This method looks like a good way to go. A few more coats in the neck and freatboard to match the tones. Would you recommend any brand in particular? I like the tone in yours and the lack of yellowing. Keep the awesome videos coming. I didn’t used any paint on the neck! Just cover the neck with linseed oil. 3 or 4 coats of oil and that’s it ! If you have other questions don’t hesitate :)
