Starting my business from scratch ~ Setting up my first online store
H E L L O !
Hi friends! Tovah here. Owner of the shop Saint Florence. This week, I am prepping to launch my first online store! While I’ve been making ceramics off and on for years and selling at craft fairs and art galleries, this is a new chapter for me to make my ceramics hobby a more full-time small business! And I’m super excited about this experience, but I also recognize that I’m learning while I go. Join me this week on my week in the life of a ceramic artist vlog as I prep and create the foundations for my new pottery business through the fun times and a bit of the mess, too! Aka: Figuring out all of the business things needed to launch my online shop!
I will also be camping this ...

Prepping for my online store with a POP-UP PARTY! ~ My pottery business
Просмотров 58919 часов назад
Hello! I opened my online ceramics store this week for a limited drop and threw a pop-up launch party to celebrate! I taught my friends how to make pinch cups, and we underglazed them. I also gave them rainbow pottery dishes as party favors! The event was so much fun and a new opportunity to explore teaching. Regardless, this is a great summer activity to do with friends! In this video, I also ...

The first washoff is to be poured out, its the hands that handled and packed this tea, plus dust - nasty. Also its a rule in 茶道

Thank you:) Interesting to see it take shape.
I'm making a Rose ring now coincidentally, as the roses bloomed too early this year and are already almost bloomed out.
I would love to see it!
@@Saint_Florence I had finished it the day before yesterday, then made a few alterations yesterday. I think it looks more like the almost bloomed out roses, but it was the first time I made one and it is still pretty. I will make pictures again in a few hours, then I can see if I can contact you via your website. I'm in Europe (Germany), so you're probably asleep by that time:)
Thanks! 😊

i think A but now i’m torn!
i love this!! more please 🤗
Can relate to the "always needing to performing" to promote your work. But I also like to share my process, so I try to make little videos and post pictures to Instagram (I make artisan silver jewellery). I also have an old Camry:)
Jewelry making is so cool! Thanks for reaching out and sharing your journey. Team Toyota!! :p
@@Saint_Florence Mine is on its last leg it seems unfortunately (rusty back axle, and I live in Germany. It is a rare car here. Is yours a Corolla? Old Toyota's generally have very reliable engines, you do need to replace the rubber to keep it leakproof. This does not cost much, like 15 bucks should do it for the parts. I'm Dutch though....I wrote you a message on Instagram:) I had maybe a few questions on how you started your RUclips channel, I'm thinking of starting one and sharing the process. I'm also working on mindset. I also 'worry' about the cost, as I work primarily in silver (with some gold), it is expensive and I wonder how much do I invest before something sells, and I can "reinvest".
A but both are very nice
Aw thank you!
@@Saint_Florence B is a little lighter. I'm also an archaeologist btw. I worked on pottery from 3000 BC where they integrated the handle while they coil-built the pot (so it was in the wall, and had a bit more strength. However, there were many vessels where it broke at the seams. So that need to be closed well.

I love this longer form content! thanks for sharing your journey, vulnerability, and highlights of your day and creative process, this is so inspiring in a time of confusion and chaos.
Aww thank you for the sweet message! I appreciate you following my journey and sending all of the good vibes. :)
