I also have fine low density hair and I never realized that, that was the huge difference between my hair and people's on RUclips. Everyone had thick dense hair and whenever they did their twistouts or braid outs it came out gorgeous. Their hair in mini-twists and mini braids was beautiful. Their wash and gos never missed! And I thought I'd be able to get there if my hair was longer. But I slowly came to realize that my hair never looked like theirs. Even when I was just putting my hair in sections to wash. I realized that one of the four sectons of my head was equal to like an eighth of another person's hair! I was devastated. I had low density fine hair. I was sad about it for a while but I think I've come to accept it. I've seen people with hair even thinner than mine and they accept it. And they look so beautiful with the love they have for their hair. So I decided to also love what God gave me (at least I have hair). And I think the advantage of type 4 hair, is that it can look dense without it being dense. As long as you don't do styles that reveal the thinness. So, at the end of the day, you should just love the hair you were born with and care for it. I'm trying to get back on a healthy hair journey because I want to see my hair reach its fullest potential. I still watch thick haired RUclipsrs and appreciate their hair (because I just love our afro hair and get so motivated seeing it thrive), but I do not undermine my own hair.

The over misrepresentation of the voluminous Black hair is why I left the natural hair community here on YT. I appreciate your content coming across my feed. I’ve come to a place of self acceptance with my hair and I’m at peace.

So nice to see another natural with fine, low density hair. I never really know how to style my hair. I desire to wear twists as a protective style, but it always looks too scalpy and not cute. So many styles don’t work for me due to the low density. I’ve never tried a flexi-rod set, so this might be something to put on my list to try 🙂

Took me years to understand my density of hair. Mine is low/fine also. It won't have volume without more manipulation. Yet easier to flat iron, wash, and style. Don't need relaxers or such either. Braids/cornrows makes mine grow funny. I can wet my hair daily. Grows extremely quick. Thank you for this video.

Also I discovered that twistouts look fuller for me with smaller twists but of course, that's a pain.

Yeah you're my hair twin. People think i have a lot of hair but when i braid it you can see that I dont have a lot. But what i love about my hair is that it's really easy to care for. I can do updos easily. I dont have to endlessly comb my hair or smooth it back. It's easy to detangle. My hair wont do what other people's hair does and thats fine.

Love your hair and this method you did. So shiny! I also have fine hair and have come to really love it and am happy that I have learned how to care for it. One upside is it takes me no time to do styles which may take longer for others with thicker hair. It's all beautiful, great video!!

I don't like having fine short 4C hair. The long thick hair was the reason why I went natural 11 years ago. My hair looks nothing like what I wanted to be. 😢

Please come back to RUclips.. I’m having such a hard time accepting my hair. Your hair is a lot like mine and I’m tired of watching people with high density thick hair telling me what to use on hair that isn’t like mine.

This was hard for me to watch. How should have gotten up and walked out. I just couldn't.

I have similar hair to yours - maybe a bit thicker. I find that protein treatments and excessive protein in general will keep my hair in knots. I avoid protein in my hair products and focus on moisture.

Child these "stylists' think they know everything but actually know nothing. They simply cannot do natural hair. And the ones who can do natural hair can't wait their hands on your hair so that they can cut it all off. No thank you ma'am. I always suffer dryness and breakage after visiting a salon.

The trouble is when you separate the defined curl. Perhaps you may need more curlers? 🤷🏾‍♀️ I too have hair like yours and I realized that you have to be strategic with how you separate it, otherwise it looks like your efforts were in vain.

My hair is fine, low density AND high porosity. So it’s even more prone to dryness, breakage, and single strand knots.

It looks like yu have medium density though, your hair strands are probably thin but you hair density is not low, its medium...like me....just my opinion from what i see
