I test rode one in 1985 Absolutely ridiculous design to Low to be seen in traffic... no standing on the Pedals due to Seating and Handlebar positions. poor Suspension on Plastic Wheels It was a design disaster.

need to replace the video capacitor output. Looking at the right and left part of the picture, the color is not balanced.

I have a 2013 B7 Passat estate 2.0 Tdi with 171000 miles. I have owned it 8 years and never had any issues with it other than wear and tear items. It passes it's MOT every year with no advisories.

Went out today on myn for a 2 hour run and had no problems with over heating at all

Wonderful Moggy's and Lidos does it get any better. Loved the Lido information hadn't realised we still had so many the 3, I used in Norfolk when I was younger have all gone. Excellent video many thanks and will watch more Johnny 👍

I agree - I have a B7 Passat 2.0 TDi which I have owned for 9 years and it's on 170000 miles. Never had one problem with it. I thought it might be battery related when it picked up a voltage issue. Well done.

Yep! Coming up to 197000 miles. I think they’re brilliant cars and I’ve had no big problems in 6 years. Changing the battery sorted this voltage supply problem out (the battery in it was the one fitted in the factory!)

Interesting! Wondered how it worked and if bulb was part of mechanism. Was going to try led bulbs. Do you think it will mess up the flash timing?

Fun fact: The delay in the start of the flashing is caused by a capacitive dropper. The capacitor has to charge before the flashing starts, having the main headlamp on also drops the voltage so the battery has to work harder to charge it. The bulb also acts as the discharge resistor so replacing the bulb with a lower resistance will speed up the cycling. Just thought it would be interesting to know.

A nice day out in the C5! Great stuff. I bought a lifepo4 battery this year for my C5 and as you say, it is much better.

Was the C5 never pedelec, ie you need to pedal to activate the motor?

That’s your battery warranty gone! Surely a better way to do this.

Looks like the 200V that feeds the R,G & B outputs is bad. If so its a 'lytic cap on the 200 Volt supply. Causes shading, jail bars, to bright & a piss poor pix. Typ 4.7mfd 300V. Common to almost all brands. Sometimes on the CRT board. If not its near the flyback. LFOD !

I would reccomend a HDMI to aV and then a AV to RF. It does add more wires and connections. But it made the picture alot better in my experiance with a 1980s CRT. It danpens the kinda red fuzzyness

any more details on thise tyres please? I have an ariel 3 that runs 16" tyres all round , (12" in moped size weirdly), and currently nobody makes a 12"-2" moped tyre, so using 16-1.75 e-bike tyres, with varying success (got 600 miles out the last one)

I am looking at replacing the quarter light rubbers. How easy was it? Does the quarter light have to come out?

I still wonder what the problem with the trunion is/was. I knew about this , but I keep hearing a knock when I have to break suddenly, is that what you referring to? For the most part I grease the trunion each time I notice the knocking sound when running over some rubble or so it's more a feeling then a recommendation in the manual. Awesome tip about the extra bit of heat by detache the elefant trunck of the intake btw. For the rest, ... Hartelijke groeten uit Holland.
