Creating Tinkercad models using the Scribble Shape
In this video, Mr.E shows examples as to how the scribble shape can be used to create unique 3D models and designs in Tinkercad! The scribble shape allows you to draw your own custom shapes, which opens a wide range of possibilities. This video also shows how the duplicate and repeat tool can be used, as well as shape generators, and the cruise tool to create models too.
This is part of Mr.E's Tinkercad tutorial series, which you can see below:

      after clicking a second time (first to start drawing the circle at a midpoint, second to place the circle), the dimension box should appear. You then should be able to just start typing a number in using your keyboard, you don't need to click again to start to type. This would start drawing another circle.

    • @MrErdreich
      @MrErdreich 26 дней назад

      Good question! The concept is the same, but you would need to match your thread pattern to that of a garden hose. This shape doesn't make that too easy to do unforuntately. What I would suggest is to download a STL model of a garden hose fitting, you can find them on thingiverse or mcmaster carr, then import this model into Tinkercad and use that do create your shapes.

      The easiest way would be to make a sketch, draw a shape (rectangle), and extrude to remove the material you don't want at the top of the screw. You can also adjust do a manual sweep rather than a helix to have more control, but that's a bit more complex

    Greetings, Great Instruction !!!!!,,,, I'm new to the 3D Printing scene, and have ideas to create some prints that serve a Utility function, and would like your advice on how to go about printing out something that is mostly hard , though has three sides that will clip onto a rail , so those edges would maybe be TPU , a filament that gives or clicks into place when pushed together.... Gluing would not be an option, as I would not trust it in the long run..... Any information in printer models and Ext heads would help.... Thanks.....

    • @MrErdreich
      @MrErdreich 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the view and happy to assist! TPU comes in many different forms, some harder and more rigid than others which makes it easier to print, especially when combined with other rigid materials. I would suggest looking into GizmoDorks TPU, I find it to be the best compromise of rigid and flex and easy to print personally. You might also get away with a rigid material that has some flex to it, like PETg. PETg and TPU also print at similar temperatures, so swapping between those materials mid print would be easier to do than say PLA and TPU. Hope this helps!

    • @MrErdreich

      There are many great options out there, but not many of them are suitable to print TPU and flexible materials out of the box. Heated glass beds, direct drive extruders, and 2.85 mm filament printers typically do better with this if you were planning or primarily printing flexible or abrasive materials over PLA.

    Good day to all. Please help me figure out the prusa mini 3D printer. The thread does not stick, even after wiping the area with alcohol. Sticky tape. And problem 2, after the thread falls down, it gets clogged by the temperature sensor. And the printer's work ends.

    • @MrErdreich
      @MrErdreich 2 месяца назад

      Sorry to hear of your challenges! In terms of your bed, I would heat the bed to 70 degrees, then wipe it rather aggressively with a mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol using a scotch brite / brillo pad. This should activate the TPU bed and make it more sticky, without needing glue or tape (assuming you have the metal TPU bed...if not, I suggest you order one). I would also check your filament idler pulley, which you can learn more about here: ruclips.net/video/AJzafAzIYhM/видео.html

    • @MrErdreich
      @MrErdreich 3 месяца назад

      What type of printer are you using? You need to design your threads so that the tolerances are suitable for your printer. For example, typically FFF printers need a tolerance of .05 - 1 mm, so you would need to ensure that you have a gap of at least that in your design for the threads to print correctly.

      @MrErdreich 3 месяца назад

      Happy to help! What type of nozzle are you using (copper, brass, steel, etc)? TPU really needs a harder nozzle like a coated copper or hardened steel one. I would assume you're using a brass, nickel, or copper nozzle and the TPU has just completely jammed the inside of it. If you plan to swap between different filaments, I would suggest a coated hardened steel nozzle and that you increase your overall print temp to 225 c rather than the default 205 or so typically used for PLA.
