Rootrick remains one of the most tonally-confusing villains to me. He; -Successfully kidnaps the princess. Theme sounds serious, menacing. -Is next seen randomly falling off a cliff. Theme sounds bumbling, embarrassing. Falls off a second time during the race. Then gets knocked off a cliff *again* post-race. -Shows up out of nowhere to shoot Jon in the back in the finale. Says "Yeehaw!!" Then just disappears. ????

The two characters who use this theme would either not get along whatsoever, or secretly meet up in the back alley to nerd over old toys together.

Imagine Square Enix remakes this game today. Oh Boi.…. 😂

If this was a turn-based JRPG, I could see this as the normal battle theme.

A fitting tune to show the despair and betrayal the village was feeling after Topos shenanigans.

This game had awesome tracks! This one truly fills you up with that adrenaline rush you crave! Heroic and badass! Makes you feel like you truly are there as Musashi kicking ass.

Wish we knew the backstory to why Jon was locked up. So many unanswered questions to this game. Like what happens to Rootrick after the Wizard of Darkness is released.

You can tell Musashi respected the power of this dragon. He doesn't even say a word. He's just ready to fight it. Can't say the same abour Relic Keeper lol.... GEEK!!!

This song brings you a weight of sadness. *Spoiler!!!* If you're replaying the game, you know this is one of the last times you see Jon alive.

Track does a nice callback to the initial theme I remember it was one of the first time I felt goosebumps in a game.

I remember when I was a little kid me and my 2 brothers watched my mom play this. When she got all instruments playing we all just sat and listened for a while.

I would always get glitched into a corner and died, at least ONCE in this figth in every paythrough I did.

This music goes WAY TOO HARD, for what amounts to a building people seldom visit.

This makes me feel like a kid again.

Back in the day, I was so obsessed with this game's music that I put the game's disc into my CD player to see if I could listen to the soundtrack that way (I was a dumb kid back then). Surprisingly, this song, of all things, was one of the things that was actually able to be played that way. Sure, it's short, but I didn't mind it because the "Relic Keeper theme" or "Musashi's second theme" as I called them back then is one of my favorite melodies in the entire OST (plays in this song from 0:34 on).

I remember hearing this theme and then seeing the dead ant carcass being very unsettling. Perfect representation of this dungeon.

this Ost is so enigmatic, beautiful, and nostalgic. This game is among the top 10 in soundtrack

I remember hopping into this forest as a kid and was genuinely scared despite the jaunty tune. When I got a bit older, going right into this area, I was immediately brought back to the fear I had as a kid being lost in these woods. But, as an adult, for whatever reason, the jaunty tune stuck with me as: "wait, holy crap, this is a REALLY good song!" jamming out to it later in age. Here I am now, 35, and I really ENJOY this! <3 Never stop doing what you love, even if people say you're too old to enjoy it.
