Thanx for the advices , wish you a good journy you and your G friend. Gracias, amigo.
Same to you!
How much would outsourcing editing cost? Would it still be profitable?
I think at least $75 per video if outsourced overseas, depending on how much work it entails. I’m not making money from RUclips, so it would be an investment to save time and grow the channel.
My choice is FE 20 mm f1.8 GM FE 50 mm f1.2 GM Sigma 85 mm 1.4 DG DN ART FE 70 200 f2.8 GM ii On my sony A7IV ❤ On canon side RF 15 35 f2.8 RF 50 1.2 RF 85 1.2 RF 70 200 f2.8 With R5 but it too pricy 😢
Cool, the 20mm must be great for vlogging. And the 1.2 a beast for Broll!
👍
Thanks!
Love it!

Curious about the new mini, if powerful enough I may go for it!
great video quality, i would lower the music though.
Thanks for the tip! I will look into that
I use the 35 1.4 and the 50mm 1.2 I’ve been debating on getting the 85mm 1.4 🤔 great video 👏
Thanks! Let me know if you do 🙃

Habari yako?
@@josealcoy poa sana! Great job on the video. I recently purchased these mics after having the 1st gen for 2 years. I was highly disappointed, and still to this day I can’t figure out how to make them sound as good as the original But you seem to be enjoying them. Glad they’re working well for you! Keep up the good work
@@nyarinyax Thanks! Sorry to hear man, some common problems where that the low cut filter is activated by default and sounds terrible. There is also the firmware update that really improved the sound. Hope you will sort it out, they are decent mics.
framing at 1:32 looks very good, just saw your video about your go-to lenses, this must be the 85mm. are you shooting wide open at f/1.8? if yes, can you tell me the distance between lens & where you're seating?
thanks! indeed, that's the 85mm wide open at 1.4, haven't measured the distance, but I'd say around 3 meters
I’m debating either getting the 35mm 1.4 or the 50 mm 1.4. I think the 35 mm will be more versatile, but I just love 50mm focal length. What are your thoughts about those two lenses?
It really depends what you use it for, I once owned a 50mm and didn't use it much, it was not wide enough as a walkaround lens, as an only lense I would get a 35mm, but that's me, look up on RUclips if other creators are happy with 50mm as an only lens :-)
great job dude I like zoom lenses more because I am lazy haha
thanks man! haha, I like making my life more difficult :-p
Yep, Completely agree. I have the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM, it's a great lens. I pair it with the Sony 85 f/1.8, it's not quite as good as the Sigma 85 f/1.4 but it's a lot lighter and shares the same filter size (67mm). Although if I could only have a single prime I would probable go with a 50mm f/1.4 it's a versatile focal length.
I see what you mean! As an only lense I think the 50mm might be too tight for what I do though.
@@josealcoy If you do video then generally wider is more useful. I use my 35mm for video all the time. Would be my go-to lens for a talking head video.
bu bir profesyonel kamera ve çok iyi fiyat. bazı özellikler dışında, fx3 ve a7sııı ile aynı
Indeed! But not a professional camera, it overheats quite easily when using Creators App
I love the detail in the short film! This one is my favorite youtube short film and should be nominated to an academy award! Guys are getting premium content for free!!

Very great video, mate! Subscribed to support you. I myself waiting for an M4 Max or M4 Ultra Mac Studio. Can't say that my 2019 desktop PC that cost me nearly $3,400 is bad, no serious problems despite being a custom PC but following the motherboard recommendations when building it and not using the second m.2 slot that takes 25% of power from the main GPU! Such BS is what drives some people mad and can't find the problem. I want the Mac Studio as a portable desktop and for being optimized for H.265 encoding and decoding. I can easily work on projects without proxies when using H.265 4K@24fps 4:2:2 10bit footage. It gets hairy when I add VFX or when I use H.265 4K@120fps 4:2:2 10bit "real time with audio" from my Sony A7SIII. Macbook Pro is kinda expensive and I tend to prefer desktops and large screens. If you have DaVinci Resolve Studio try voice isolation tool to cut out some of the echo, 50-80% would be perfect. Also I'm using Sony Xperia 1v, impressive tool that can be a monitor and a 1080p recorder if wanna explain how the camera works.
Thanks man! I have been using laptops all my life but I realise I rarely edit on the go, so desktop makes a lot of sense. Will try the voice isolation tip. Audio is one of my weak points for sure. I just got a DJI MIC 2 that I think has improved my audio quite a bit.
@@josealcoy It's mostly the area around can be echoy. Using voice isolation at 50-80% helps a lot withiut sounding unnatural. As for the Mac Studio you can buy a portable screen as well that you can carry around, there are good and affordable ones. I'm 100% a desktop guy but some portability would help in some situations.
@@Bo_Hazem makes sense, thanks again!
The filming possibilities with these toys are awesome indeed… but it’s quite an investment!
Choose your toys!
To get started?! Not really. Beginners should start with simpler options, they wouldnt extract the best of 10 bit 4.2.2 or even slog3, but hell yeah its an amazing camera. I have it. I upgraded from a7iii. And im a professional
I also "upgraded" from A7iii. Definitely, Slog-3 is not for beginners. But it's not a bad idea to have the option rather than having to upgrade after a year or two.
@@josealcoy Yes for sure. You have the option once you are ready to use those tools
I currently own the ZV-E10, a6700. After watching this video, I am seriously considering purchasing my first full frame camera………the ZV-E1. Although there are better ones out there, I find the ZV-E1 goes really well with my workflow, plus, you simply cannot beat the Dynamic Stabilization. Pair this with a Sony 16-35 F4 PZ, your favorite nd filter(s), a damn good shotgun mic, and you got yourself a beast of a setup. Great video and keep them coming, my man. 🍻
Thanks man! Just make sure overheating is not a problem for you. This summer I've had my camera overheat in several occasions, it is when I use Creators App to monitor recording that it happens. Might have to buy an external fan if this continues.
As someone who wants to improve their video quality this was super helpful, concise and straight to the point 🔥👌🏻
Thanks a lot! Glad it helped :-)
👍👍👍
Thanks!
please tell your audience, you can´even livestreaming, even with battery dummy for longer than 45min with the ZV-E1 then its shuts off cause overheating This cam is a disaster.
Sorry to hear man. That sucks. Did you try an external fan? For what I have seen it does the trick. Ulanzi produces one.
External fan are the solution
I think I prefer the lavalier mics as they seem to have a bit less reverb from the room compared to the bare transmitter. I also really like the look of them pinned on. But most importantly, I do want to see superstar Catherine's channel come to life! 🤩
Thanks Ward! I also think the lavalier sounds fuller. We are all waiting for Catherine to take that step 🙃
Do you prefer the sound of the lavalier or the bare transmitter? 🤔
And do you know that the transmitter records only one sound channel via a lapel microphone, which means that if you wanted to connect two lapel microphones to one transmitter via a splitter (left and right channel), the sound will only be recorded from one? Because the transmitter records mono sound :P It's supposedly a professional device but limited in terms of software. It's supposedly 32 bits but there's no basis for it ;) Did you know about it? Probably not, because no one talks about it in any review and DJI carefully doesn't write about it in any specification. They only admitted it on their customer chat and confirmed it in a phone conversation.
@@moto_trekker Didn't know. Make a video about it!
Thanks for the video! Keep going man. Cheers!
Thanks! Will do 😁
Hello sir. Nice Short documentary.. What camera and lens also did you a light on talking head if so. What kind and how. Thanks
Thanks! Used ZV-E1 + 35mm GM + Smallrig COB LED Video Light RC 60B with mini softbox placed really close to subjects :-)
I love your style... How do like the the zve1 i think about getting it. I cant see paying double the price on the fx3 and a7siii when they are already a couple years old. When sony will be bringing something new out. How was the over heating if it was any during your recording.. Thanks
Hey Reggie, thanks a lot! This summer it has been overheating quite a lot. The reason is that I use Creators App for monitoring while self recording, and the camera heats up much quicker when connected to the app. Unless you are using any of the video features exclusive to these cameras I would perhaps go for an A7V if you can wait. I think it is a good intermediate solution with all photo features.
@@josealcoy thanks for the reply. Much blessings to you my friend
👌
Thanks man!

I just love what you are doing. The shots are all beautiful. I think those documentaries are the best. I know you would have shoot better. But for me the news is the best on whatever the shots that you recorded. Most important you have made the videos into stories and deliver the meaning and purpose out of it, profesionally. That is sir a great art.😊
Thanks a lot. Very encouraging to read comments like yours!

Thanks so much!
I love your interview setting using an indoor house lane and use one light for the interview. Looks 3D dimension and alive. I also like your camera framing.. thank you for teaching me this. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! I was very satisfied with the background I chose for this interview, it was too bright outdoors so this is the corridor to the small changing room :-)
@@josealcoy you are just amazing thanks
Hi from Malaysia, i am interested what lens do you use for your filmaking? For cinetone do you have custom setting in picture profile? Love you video anyway.
Hey there. The lense I use the most for filmmaking is 35mm GM, but any 35mm will do. Also got the 24mm GM but use it less often. For cinetone I just use the default picture profile that came with the camera, I believe it is PP11. Thanks a lot!
@@josealcoy thank you for sharing this info.
Congrats 😉 ZVE1 is such a small and awesome cam 😍 I really love this beast although I have a bigger FX6 😂 sub from germany
Thanks for the sub! Envy your FX6, but there are situations where ZV-E1 is more practical :-)
@@josealcoy definitely
is it just me or is your voice louder in the left audio channel
Hi there, yes you have a good ear, I was using the safety track option on my rode microphone and forgot to change that in post. I fixed it in more recent videos :-)
