Biker in wrong lane to begin with.on the right to straight to the left car was in his lane biker can see the car yet carried on as if it wasn’t there car driver looking right as biker hits car. Biker was riding recklessly from the start overtaking cars queuing on right lane then deciding to go left. Biker’s fault.

Looks like one of those insurance scams. Slow moving, could see the car pulling out, had plenty of time to avoid the crash and drove straight into him. Car's fault, but you really need to pay more attention when you're on a bike. No good being in the right if your dead. Well done for staying calm though and I'm glad you're ok.

The bike rider was in the wrong lane and tried to cut across the lane the car was in to make the turnoff. The car driver was in the right lane for the turnoff but decided to go around the roundabout. Both guilty of poor driving, and that's the outcome of being aggressive when riding your bike. Not if it happens, but when.

You try to turn left on the right lane, what did you think was going to happen? Unless the laws are different there, or I’m missing something. How’s is this the drivers fault? You literally rode into him, while he was in his lane. He didn’t have a signal on indicating he was going to turn, so we assume he’s going straight. Then you proceed to turn left infront of him, while he was already ahead of you. The biker didn’t even use his turn signal to indicate he was turning left, yet everyone in the comments is saying it’s the drivers fault. How on earth is this the drivers fault? Legitimately curious.

Five days ago, I was coming to an intersection the light was red. Right on red is legal where i Live. There was no car in the far right lane which is the lane I was in. I looked to the left as I slowed down to see if the road was clear for my turn. When I looked back, a car had switched lanes and was stopped 20 ft in front of me. Although I was only doing 20 mph when I looked back it seemed as though I had no time to stop. I slammed on both brakes and went down. I ride a 2008 VTX 1300 cruiser. The windshield came off, my head hit the ground (had a helmet on) and when i stood up, I asked the man who had been driving the car in front of me why he had "stopped short" He said that there was a person in the intersection OF COURSE crossing on a red light. This is a huge intersection with 6 lanes. Nevertheless, at the time, I didn't realize he had switched lanes. I was dazed. I put the windshield back on and thanks to hard leather bags and highway bars, my bike had a scratch on the tail pipe and that was pretty much it. I, on the other hand did not fair as well as my bike. I was sore for 4 days. I also had a mild concussion. I told the man who had been in front of me that it was as much my fault as it was his. I consider that when you ride, you have to be aware at all times of what is in front of you and be prepared to stop or take evasive action. If I make a mistake, I have to own it. In this case, in the video, clearly this was avoidable. Once the car started moving to the right, it was time to just miss the turn, honk the horn and move on. Assuming the car would not come into your lane was the mistake. I have been riding for many years and more than anything else it was my pride that was hurt. Even the best rider can be caught off guard.

Riders fault to be honest. Two things. The rider was in completely the wrong lane to even be exiting there. The rider at best was about to cut up the car behind the one he rode into. Yes the driver he hit was driving like a numpty, but most drivers do. As a biker, you just don't ride like that. If the biker was in the nearside lane like he should have been when approaching the exit he wanted, none of that would have happened. He says to the driver that it's all been recorded with his helmet cam, but all that will show to the insurance companies, is the error he made himself. Wreckless riding is likely what he will be told. Glad he wasn't hurt. Lesson hopefully learned.

UK roads are full of angry aggressive drivers a lot of cars drives don't like anyone else being on the road or in what the presume is there way I here it all the time I don't drive myself but have been passenger in many cars with a lot of friends and family nearly all of them have road rage issues or at the least mutter stuff about white vans, lorries, motor bikes and the lowest of the low in there eyes pushbikes, cyclists are hated in the uk this has been the way for many years and has only got worse.
