Awesome,Thanks
Could u use something else instead of bleach I'm allergic to it 😊
Just done this and it on the 2 is that ok ? Was on 0
@@RachelYouds it will be ok. A little high tbh - if you wanted to drop it a bit just bleed a radiator to let some of the water out this will reduce the pressure down. 1.5 bar is normally a bout max.
How do you stop it sticking again ?
Time to fit a new mech.
@@vtechead1 you can temp removed the broken part
@ cheers thanks for your help 👍
Awesome cheers mate
Must taken hundreds these to the scrap yard for exactly this problem. We fix the odd one it's almost always this problem caused by overloading.
Funciono! Gracias
i cannot get the belt back on how did you do it for me it’s incredibly hard to stretch it back
@@NizzyNey i put a screw driver through the belt and pulled it over the new pulley with two hands, got it caught on the edge of pulley and moved the drum with my hand to get it fully on. Not gonna lie its tricky.
Hi Darren got the new parts, just fitted them, now it’s heating up but getting very very hot? Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks mate
Hi Darren just adding this comment here incase you don’t see my previous reply, I’m not getting a reading on a continuity test from either part (I getting one from the wire ports as shown in video) Is it possible they’ve both gone? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Excellent lol this worked
ok, but did anyone have problems with the actuall drill before doing this trick? then why bother, just tighten it as much as possible
Could you please guide me on what to do with an E21 error code on the hoover dryer, with a water part at the bottom, I’ve cleaned the thing you have done too, just not working :/
Brilliant, thank you.
I have the blue fill tab but doesn't do anything when pulled. And reason why this would happen?
@@nothought108 some are very quite, just pull the tab down as far as it goes while looking at the digital gauge. It should rise it may take awhile.
My one doesn't open at the top. Where the two screws at the top should be there are two rivets, so it's impossible to open.

ThanK for the vid. I have a heater that won't come on at all..There is no power going to the switch. No fuse tripped. Fault on the consumer unit? I also have those tow dials, with day and night set to +2.
Hello if its a night storage heater you won't have power there during the day if its Economny 7. They only come live at night when electricity is cheap, then they release the heat during the day
Thanks for replying...I should have specified no power during night tarrif hours😃. Since posting I checked all heaters on a day circuit and they are all operating. The issue is either on the meter timer switch or the consumer unit. The electricity network provider is checking the meter side. If that's ok, I will get electrician in to check the devireg/contactor internally.
Which site do you buy the element from?
@@janegorton4446 espares is normally the go to site
I'm trying to reset mine but what are the +4 and-4 on the fuse board for ??? Oh by the way mine are working but instead of coming on at 11pm onwards it doesn't come on till at least 4am and that's almost out of cheaper electricity rates ,I'm in Ireland so their expensive to run
@@darraghgregory1269 they start warming up from 11pm but wont feel the heat u til 4 am depending on settings. Basically a load of bricks in them that hold the heat and let it out over the day.
@darrensdiy4769 I know who it works but it's the fuse numbers I don't get but I've switched one of them around and last night they came on at 01:45 instead of 4am so that's a plus
Bollocks this

Whats the difference between the white dotted therm and the yellow dotted therm?
@@ufoseries one is a thermal cut out and one is a high temp thermostat.
@darrensdiy4769 is the yellow dot the high temp thermostat
Hi mate I’m not getting a reading on a continuity test from either part (I getting one from the wire ports as shown in video) Is it possible they’ve both gone? Thanks in advance for your reply.
@@JonathonLawsyes they can both go. Normally get a pair from the online part store.
Thanks Darren I’ll order them now.
Great video. Used this to determine the fault in my exact same dryer. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the help
Do you keep heating on or off to do this mate ?

Thank you brother i from italy
I dont get it😅
Thank you
@darrensdiy4769 i am trying this on my dryer which is running fine but not heating up anymore. i am not sure how to remove the white caps from the thermal cutouts. do i just pull them off really hard or is there some trick to removing them? thanks for the video!
My mum has this boiler, and her pressure has dropped a little. I've tried turning the black lever as you said but ours isnt going up, I dont know what to do
@@kerrypearman6744 hi, there maybe another valve some have 2 either end. Or it maybe like some of the others ive cover
I tried to put a picture on of it but it won't add on
@darrensdiy4769 I can't see another valve and it won't let me add a picture 🤦♀️
@@kerrypearman6744 oh you cant add pictures on here. I have other videos of worcester boilers some have a different way of filling
@darrensdiy4769 I couldn't find them on your page. The boiler you have in the video is the exact same as my mums, she doesn't have the key version or a blue lever
B.G. Installer told me to leave alone the big white key & just use the little white square one , yet every yt video says to set the big white key ? Confused .
Try it without the key in let us know what happens.
Bet that smells nice
Bold of you to assume i have a chisel
I just replaced the whole heating element (done it before on old dryer) . Worked fine but could smell burning. Online said that’s normal with new element & dust kicked up. Checked back later and not heating up. Don’t know if I have a bad one and can get money back. However I do have the relatively new element from the previous dryer. Motor went on it so not worth replacing. I kept some bits thinking that it could come in handy. Anyway, my question is, are the thermostats generally the same? Only reason I couldn’t use the old element was the plugs being different, apart from that it looks the same.
What do you do if that method doesn’t work ? Either pins are stuck or not enough space to get in ? Thx
Take the gasket out = more space or buy the tools to do this .🎉
@@TheWackyRacer you mean both sides are broken?
@darrensdiy4769 yep - gasket out but mechanism is stuck solid using the technique in your vid to try and free it ☹️
It not working with me
very useful thanks
God bless will try this and get back to you
Any ideas, at all, as to why I don't have a bloody pressure gauge on mine? None where yours is (which the manual says should be there...) Checked a few places...
@@AAARREUUUGHHHH is it not a combi boiler ?
@@darrensdiy4769 I think it's a system boiler. Same one as yours but we have a hot water tank. I'm honestly clueless with this stuff. Does that mean I don't need to repressurise?
@@AAARREUUUGHHHHsame problem. Have a hot tank upstairs and one of these downstairs - no gauge at all.
@@TheToonMonkey I've not been able to figure it out. The heating is shockingly bad downstairs and I think the culprit is something to do with this - but I've not gotten closer to figuring it out. Got someone coming out to have a look at it soon so if I figure it out I'll let you know
