Simple tip for stainless screw removal
I'm assuming it's worth on a torsion axle but if you have a leaf spring axle don't waste your time and just buy a new one for $175
You need to protect the spindle surfaces from the weld process, there is an arc mark right where the grease seal will be
About time ya figure it out ha ha. Now may need some plates done
That's awesome!!!
I wouldn't grind the inside of the hole, just the outer edge where the weld was. You want the tightest fit you can get with the spindle.
Axle stub is a press fit for a reason.
I hate the idea of cutting a brand new part to fit. Why can't the whole thing be used? How much of a difference is there?
How much of a job is this compared to getting a whole new axle? Is it cost effective? Or is it only worth it if you can do it yourself?
An upgrade worth its weight in gold!
I thought they were supposed to be 1/2 or so below the hull. hmm will have to play I quess
Hi Scott , I find running them 1/2" Below creats lots of noise & Spray. With all the new units running larger transducers having them up slightly above the hull will not efect them as far as getting a clear reading.
Nix time they’ll have to bring it to you first. Ha ha.
Another great job Mike!
Amazing work Mike! #boatrepair #fishing
wtf is a jiffy marker?😂😂😂😂j/k great video btw
😀 'promosm'
No surprise banh sounds today?
And I was gonna swing by today! 😂
Good job on the install... but honest opinion if you're not working IN your trailer, why do all this?
Thanks, they keep the hand tools warm along with a warm place to get out off the cold weather when they are working outside
@@2riversboatworks318 yeah cold tools do suck to hold, especially when you start your day at 7 and it is 7 degrees
Beautiful work man
Thanks
Looks like a nice east install. So nice to have everything accessible.
yep till it’s toolbox time 😂
I like this stuff so fun
More bombi!!!!
There will be few more videos on the Bombi
Yup. That’ll do.
Looking great!
You mean you can just load up and go?
Great creative genius and skill.....you make it look so easy!!!....(when I know it's not!).....
Holy shit, that was funny
This made me laugh so hard when Mike showed it to me
Good one Mikex2
😂😂😂
😂 Love this
Baha😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
Man if I took one of these apart, there’s no way I wouldn’t end up with leftover pieces 😂 Nice work 👍🏽
Built about 50 Snobear chassis. Helps to have a cherry picker for that diff and chaincases.
Ryan I agree , I had one apart and think I was too lazy to set it up stubborn I guess.
Good old Manitoba winters will make sure that these toys need maintenance. Great video. Shows there's more to these things than a routine oil change.
Good run-through. The only negative thing I could say is that it’s Definetly not my RUclips channel playing on the tv. Ha ha.
Wow...what a massive project!......Glad I'm not getting the bill for this one! 😀....
cool vids there Mike!....really demonstrates your knowledge and abilities and the know-how for solo work!
Thanks John.
Can we get rid of the beeping? I can’t hear what your saying
I’d love to, but there’s probably a few choice words that they wouldn’t let go 🤣
That's a crazy set up. Props to you for tackling this project. Great work!
super cool timeline. I have to admit there were some times on there I could feel the pain ha ha.
Fuck man. That shit looks painful. I'll add another mental notes on things not to do. Hope you get better.
Sorry to see that!....oh my.......it was like watching one of my projects.....be safe buddy!
Goodness gracious! Michael! Well you got 9 left!
🤣
Thanks . I’m A welder fabricator and I have a customer who’s looking at me to do this job for her . After watching this video it seems kinda intimidating for someone who don’t work on axles, mine has welds on both ends of the spindle ?
Some companies will weld both sides , on this particular axle I had to weld just the one end. If both sides are welded it should be done the same.
How cost effective is this to have someone do this vs replacing the whole axle. I understand if this is an expensive axle. Just curious. I just grabbed a trailer in which the spindle was cut off. seeing this video made me think about it after researching about spindles. Never really realized this was possible to replace as you did here.
Hi Wendell , it does depend on the axle as far as repair to new. It is well worth the savings if the axle is a custom axle and if you are able to do most of the work your self. The cost of replacing the spindle is usually half the cost of a axle.
Thanks for sharing sir. Great info. This music alone is awesome
Great video Mike!
