If you keep doing your whole head with henna it's gonna eventually turn a deep burgundy, purple color. Henna doesn't fade so you're just darkening it more and more each time you do a full head.

Ughhhhh those visual migraines are terrifying. The same thing happened to me years ago. I thought I was having a stroke or something and went to the ER. It still happens from time to time, particularly when I’m out in the sun. When it happens I just sit in a dark room with my eyes closed and it goes away after a few mins. Just gotta do it quickly before it “spreads”. I’m sorry you went thru that. Love this conversation. In particular, I resonated with the idea of struggling to rest. Even when I’m sick or actually have the time to rest, I still feel guilty about just resting. I’ve also been tapping into meditation and journaling/ shadow work with daily tarot pulls. Money brings up a lot of inner beliefs and programming....you could take a first step of identifying what money will give you and manifesting that , rather than the money itself. Financial security, a home, travel, etc etc. Money is usually just a vehicle to something else. Also, fellow Canadian.... the CRA strikes fear in all of us I think. Shiver.

What you experienced sounds super similar to the visual migraines I used to get. I was getting them fairly regularly for a while and it also seemed to coincide with my period (no idea why that happens). There also seemed to be a stress component because they would often happen when I was at work and my job at the time was quite stressful. The good news is I don't really get them anymore, but my life and my job are quite different now. Usually, the only thing that would help me when it happened was laying down, resting my eyes and strangely enough ginger ale / ginger brew (non-alcoholic)! So sorry you're dealing with this!

Loved your open, honest vlog . I am post menopausal and struggle with tiredness as I don’t sleep well. When I suffer with stress I go into overdrive and doing as many chores as I can. It is my coping mechanism 😂 Crazy I know but that’s just how I operate. I feel guilty not doing anything but I think that stems my narcissistic ex partner who criticised me all the time. For me getting out in nature keeps me sane. I have my beloved dog Miss Edie Sedgwick and we walk twice a day, so grateful for her in my life. At nearly 60 years old I desperately want to take time out to do creative things, read books, help my aging parents more, help with my new granddaughter, bake etc…….Finances do not allow that at the moment so Saturdays are leave home get out in the open air days, they make me so happy 💚 You are very talented and feel sure you can make a living with your skills, never give up ♥️ Best wishes Karen 🌺

My husband and I did a similar thing as you a while ago. We needed a break from the grind of our careers and took time off. It was a winding journey, but I realize now that the most important thing in slowing down was that we allowed ourselves to take on opportunities that we would have otherwise ignored. I think that you can only control so much that happens in life, but you can change how you react to and perceive change. For us, slowing down and simplifying allowed us to start our own business and years later we are grateful to be in control of our own time. Hang in there!

I was fired from an extremely stressful job at the end of June, and have been trying to take care of myself and reset my whole being. I’m in the throes of menopause but without relief yet. So for me there’s trying to stay grounded and out of the clutches of despair, while trying to find a job, but more importantly my own purpose. I have a lot of issues with focus, and I’m trying to learn strategies to keep myself on track also. As a Cancer sun ( Gemini moon, Sagittarius rising) I’m very excited to check out the book you mentioned. When I was a senior in high school, we were asked to put our goals on this worksheet and I, being impish, quoted Blake saying “ To see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wildflower”… everyone else put where they were going to college. Hee hee.

Slowing down has been the toughest!! Even eating slower or walking without rushing...my poor body was so used to not being listened to. I'm glad you had the courage to pause and grow. I'm reading a different moon book rn- The Lunar Tao, by Deng Ming-Dao, author of 365 Tao (daily meditations). I've definitely been through some of these ruminative spaces you're visiting now, including taking a year off when I was a bit younger than you. It helped me figure out that I did, in fact, want to go to Uni, so I went back to school at 26, loved it, and stayed there for 10 years. The eye look is perfectly sparkly, just the right amount.

He usually just has to wait for them to pass as he takes a break from everything. When it comes to money stuff, whenever you're ready, Sarah has a class called Money Alchemy that is a thorough, magical undertaking to reflect on your relationship with money. And also, if you know your astrological rising sign, think about the sign that comes after that, because that is your second house and where your money would exist in an astrological archetype. Sometimes if you have transits there or you reflect on that a little bit, you can find some answers about money. And lastly, if you liked Sarah's book, check out Mysteries of the Dark Moon by Demetra George. It's also on audiobook, but there are a lot of great diagrams in the actual book. It's all about the menstrual cycle, the moon, psychology, darkness, goddesses, patriarchy/matriarchy, and so, so much more. It's my favorite book and it changed my life. Sadly, we don't live in a society that honors our menstrual cycle. I got my period last week and it's usually always painful. I have a very male-dominated, physically labor intensive job. Yesterday was the full moon and I came undone and I blew up on my manager about how I feel so isolated as a woman during my time of the month. He was respectful, but ultimately, I also need to find something that respects my body more. I'm really happy I watched this today. Grateful for your content. I get pain free ocular migraines in the fall. Not a lot of fun for a school librarian trying to connect with kiddos aged 11 to 18 over books. Computer screens, facial recognition, even reading words on a page are hard to deal with. Sometimes a mild muscle headache in my forehead, and some nausea, accompany the lovely flashing mosaic crossing my vision, probably due to my attempt to focus around the light show as it progresses from a point to rough C shape out to the periphery. Takes about 10 or 20 minutes. Again, pain is rare for me, thank God above. I just work through it, same as I used to with period pain. Women my age (50 to 60) learned from mom and media that no one should be able to tell we even have a cycle. Not one main character on TV, in movies, or books seemed to have a period, except in a Judy Blume book, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret... Not one day off was allowed, no self care, nothing. Take your Mydol, eat your chocolate and chips, and keep on keeping on. Never let anyone know, unless you want to be known as Lesser by all and sundry. After all, we live in a white patriarchy. White Male is the default, all others are Other. So glad I have entered Crone phase!

Migraines with auras are fairly 'normal', I get them every so often. Sometimes it's hormones, sometimes it's changes in weather like when it gets humid. Advil and lying down will take care of it, but get it early!❤

Hi there, regarding the migraine with aura. I felt the same way when I experienced it the first time. For me stress is a big source. I have to be very cautious and gentle with myself. Over time I've learned the early signs and there is no better way than stepping back (for me at least). What helps most in that moment is a cool compression. With anY other form of tension I prefer something warm or a hot bath. But with this type of pain even painkillers/pills aren't as useful as a cold cloth. I hope you'll be able to avoid it. Be safe and take your time:) I've found a work place where it is okay to take a day off whilst on the period. In Spain the even have specific sick days just for women!

The way this palette is laid out looks similar to what Tati did with hers. Not exactly, but similar colors in different textures. I’m actually surprised to see nobody has mentioned that. But a palette that gets me in the mood for fall is Sigma Cor-de-Rosa. It’s honestly not that autumnal but to me it kind of is, especially with the darker shades. That palette also has one of my absolute favorite glitter toppers called Belle of the Ball. It’s so pretty tapped over literally any shimmer or matte shadow. My other favorite is from the Sigma Alice in Wonderland palette, the shade White Rabbit which is like tapping crushed diamonds onto any eye look, they’re both so stunning
