I was 16 years old and still in the Greek high school when I saw this movie at the cinema in 1969. Thanks to the fascist dictatorship in my country at the time (1967-1974) the censorship imposed on movies under the regime, had cut off about 20 minutes from the end so the movie ended abruptly just before the final uprising. I had to wait a few years to see the whole of it after the tyrants collapsed and ended up in prison for their crimes. Dictators are shitless scared of uprisings, even in fiction.
