Mother is actually sad giygas was left behind by his own dad and then george and mary both died then he got mad because george decided take info then he got beat by the same thing that hurt him the most the 8 melodies
This is such a good remix! It sounds amazing. The Earthbound/Mother franchise is severely underrated man. I wish more people knew about it. I'm 16 and I've known Earthbound since I was 8, and I'm obsessed with Earthbound but since nobody at my school even knows what Earthbound is, I can't go on and on about Earthbound and stuff. It sucks

Have you ever felt like Giygas? Have you ever been forced to become what you didn't want to be? I think maybe that's why his story affects us so much. We've all been the villain in somebody else's story. When all we really wanted was to be hugged, and told it will be okay. I think that's all anyone really wants; to be loved.

I always felt like that, since I was 9. I was always shy and socially awkward, and I never had any friends. When I was 9 and stuff I was social and fun, but kids at school always excluded me from whatever games they were playing. Hopscotch, Pikachu, Sticks, Tag, Hide-N'-Go Seek, etc. They always excluded me and never talked to me, so I became distant and shy and got used to being alone. Now I'm 16, and I have social anxiety AND shyness, and I'm still distant and quiet because I'm afraid people at my high school will treat me the same way I was treated at my old Elementary School and Middle School.... Nobody loves me and it hurts.

I kind of wish that, after Earthbound was finished, Giygas could have come back as a Post-Game 'boss', or just had another game that hinted to him and actually lead up to him... Except this time as a ghost, who remembers everything and is borderline inconsolable. And the aim of that 'fight' is to use the original Eight Melodies not to harm him or cause him pain, but to comfort him and come to terms with his A: Failure to control himself. B: Failure to carry out his people's wishes, and most importantly C: The loss of his 'Mother'. And, comforted by the melodies his mother sang to him, he gets called by Maria's voice, and the two reunite as spectral entities, with Maria taking the alien away with her to rest in her comforting hold from then on.
I had an idea like that once. Giygas as he's dying wills himself back into existence in his original form as an infant again with his infinite power in the last second of his life, sent through time, is adopted by Ness and Paula, raised with their daughter (who is the second party member of the game with a robot built by Jeff being the third, haven't thought of a fourth yet) and then grows up into about Ness' age when the game actually starts. Giygas/insert name here of course doesn't remember anything, but he's still a walking cat creature with physic powers. Then the aliens show up, led by Giygas' "wife"/fanatical worshipper that wants to drive the reborn Giygas insane so he's turned back into the universal cosmic destroyer and destroys everything... which one ending has her succeed at doing. Turning "Insert" back into Giygas who goes and murders Ness and Paula. Horrifying ending, the future refused to change. The other being she fails and "Insert" goes into his own mind to destroy Giygas forever. Heartwarming ending, all that jazz. I just wish I had the skills to make it happen.

James Rolfe has a fan theory that Giygas is an eyeball being of destruction that takes many forms infinitely through the universe. Poor Giegue was a victim of such a terrible monster, in just glad that the Melodies were able to soothe his aching soul.

This song is great and all, but I have a strange theory. If Maria & George's only known child was Giegue... Most likely Giegue was able to do some stuff for offspring.... This must mean Ninten's father.... Is actually half alien! And Ninten is one third of an alien! It makes sense! Ninten must've inherited his powers from Giegue. Ness had his powers because it was a gift from god, and Lucas learned PSI. That must mean Ninten inherited his PSI from his half alien father! It was in his genes!
In a cutscene of Mother 2 when Ness is in Magicant it shows Ness moving an object with psychokinesis as a newborn, so Ness inherited his PSI and only just mastered how to use his PSI during his adventures
Also in the Mother 1 hand book it states Ninten discovered he had PSI from eating too many hotdogs and playing with a spoon till he bent it by accident with his mind

Is it weird that while most people’s favorite villain is the masked man, Giegue is my favorite? His story is so heartbreaking and sure, Spoilers!!: Claus was turned into a cyborg and everything. And that’s sad, but it’s just... so generic. Giegue has a more unique story on the other hand.
