I Took The 6AT To TSP To Get More POWER!
We finally have all the pieces together to head down to the local Dyno. I wanted to see what power numbers we'd make with the K tuner 91 tune and with a big throttle body. I was surprised! Then, the power numbers started to go up, the torque curve slope became only more intensified. You won't need to adjust the transmission with a steep torque band.
PLUS! There's enough dyno noises in here for your eardrums to last until our next video.
Special thanks to Whitney Peyton for the music!
Special thanks to TSP Performance for the tune!

KTUNER 91+ OCTANE TUNE 9TH GEN ACCORD -THE DRIVE-
Просмотров 959Год назад
Lots of exhaust sounds! I knew it was going to be boring listening to me talk the entire time so after the tune, I went for a drive around the countryside and made a short number of it. I wanted to give a big thank you to Whitney Peyton for letting me use her song "Giv3 it Gas"
KTUNER FOR V6 AUTOMATICS - 9TH GEN INTERMEDIATE TUTORIAL WITH 91+ OCTANE TUNE - DBW VTEC & SHIFTING!

Full disclosure, the 91 octane tune (including modifications to the Ktuner 91 octane tune is not a recommendation) described within the video disables the auto-correction of the ECU: As such, it runs exactly on a 14.7:1 fuel ratio. Fuel trims and knock control are disabled. Using an improperly sized intake with this tune may throw off the fuel map.
RV6 MIDPIPE DIY INSTALLATION; 9TH GEN ACCORD; J-SERIES

I wanted to document how much fun it is to install some exhaust piping. This mid-pipe will replace the Takeda mid-pipe I had previously. I am not an expert but I have a few years of mechanical experience, which has helped me save money via DIY. Music by Andromulus.
Replaced my turn signals and fog lights with Lasfit LEDs 🤟
Просмотров 232 года назад
In 2016, my first mod was these PIAA Yellow fog lights. I'm excited to replace them with H11 6000k Lasfit LEDs. These match my 6000k Lasfit headlight LEDs. I also bought Lasfit 1157 Switchbacks for the front parking lights. The rear turn signals I had to go with Sirius 7440. I own a 2014 Honda Accord EX-L. My Lasfit backup LEDs are on the way. I'm ready for interior next.
What was the settings for basic 2- step?
What kind of car you have
2000rpm???
Do you have the 2017 one?
Good stuff. No one explain how to tune
I noticed with that tune on mine its holds back a little up top compared to factory top end tune
Does anyone know if this applies to the j35 in the TLX v6?
very impressive video, question .. i added a j37 throttle body to the car, what setttings should be changed to maximize the mod?
Tricky question, I did the same and it does work really well plug and play style. To maximize the throttle body increase you'd want to update the MAF voltage as to match the higher flow. There are videos out there on how this can be done, it takes time. I would recommend a pro tuner. Phase two would be to increase the MAF housing in addition to the 80mm TB. I should have a video on this soon!
did you ever find an answer to this question? I just installed the j37 TB on the stock Intake manifold and haven't touched the ktuner settings.
@@Acc15ord no lol. In hondata there's a section called throttle flow vs opening where you take the difference in percentage of the j37tb vs j35 and multiple the values.. Some guys are telling me to do that in the dbw section on ktuner, but that just modifys the sensitivity of the throttle. So im lost as well. Ktuner admin is useless as well.
@@ns5337 ah. There was 400$ out the window lol. Hondata works with the 9th gen platforms? 🤔
No, if you're running an intake an exhaust, it's good. If you're stock right now, you can run the 87 tune while turning off vcm and modifying the dbw tables, as well as improved shifting. Yea they do but it's much more expensive because there's more tables for tuning. @@Acc15ord
Don't look bad
How much hp?
Will this work for my 8th gen?
hey, i have a 2012 honda civic R18 engine. i was wondering if you could help me tuning it? i got ktuner v1.2 and im still learning the basics.
Those vtec settings are too low I lost power doing that
Would you be able to run the 91 tune with stock intake but high flow air filter ?
Yes I ran it on a stock intake, it’s only suggested you have an intake and exhaust for the best performance
What exhaust do you have? Sounded just right in that first clip
Hey i bought the ktuner from TSP and for some reason i can't see vtec settings. Do you know something about that?
Rv6 midpipe wipes out the pops from a tune… I have it, pretty much silenced my car & I have rv6 HFPC’s & rv6 Jpipe, I’ll be removing the larger resonator from the rv6 midpipe, I need some sound 😢
Link to diffuser ?
My ktuner looks so different so yah these vtex settings dont apply. Shame bc it looks so much simpler on yours
Do you think your vtec settings will work well with a manual?
Lowering too low makes you lose power. 5000 or 4900 is good wnoufh
5:43 story of my life😅
Where did you get the oil catch can and the mishimoto line from?
i can’t change my overrun throttle compensation. anyone know why?
Just subbed to your channel. Please make the videos you said you would make.... it would be awesome if you could make a video explaining maf, dbw and ignition. I have a 2012 Acura TL
How do you make third gear faster in DBW map
Much better video than any other youtubers out there... You go and explain the whys and hows of your knowledge which earned you an easy subscribtion, i got the cl9 Accord but still i got some very good info, very appreciated 🙏❤️🔥
I've always been able to burnout and with both wheels spinning only done it twice tho, Pull the Ebrake as far up as you can turn off traction control shift from park to Sport mode with foot on the brake then foot off brake and (WOT) WIDE OPEN TROTTLE, your wheels will spin regardless of it being wet or dry. Do not recommend on new tires tho
You're still getting throttled with two wheels spinning since the Accord does not have an LSD.
I have 16 Accord v6 Touring Sedan with Rv6 J-Pipe with Borla Mufflers, Ordering the Rv6 Mid-pipe and HFPC tn! With the K-tuner access port gonna try and get these gains with he stage two tune or maybe some pops 😂
since you know what you're talking about. How can i unlock the rev limiter. At standstill p or n my car won't rev past 4k rpm. I have a 10th gen 2.0 with ktuner. The rev limiter and 2-step didn't really help much
I'm also tuning an Accord Auto and you've been a big help, man. I hope you keep making new Ktuner vids. Not alot online for our Auto's.
what exactly does vtec low engage and upper engage mean? i thought vtec simply kicks on!
Great video tons of info. Can you post part 2 with rest of settings? Also can you make detail vid of DBW maps
Have you had any issues with the o2 sensor or is it running fine?
How do you get rid of the factory top speed?
Once you flash the ecu it automatically removes
Do you not have to save anything after you check off the boxes or does it auto save?
Gotta save I fcked up not doing so
Do you think anything bad will happen if i decided to make vtec kick in at a lower rpm? Im trying to find a way to make the performance a little better. The pedal when in sport mode feels heavy. It doesn't have that light feel when i dont have a tune on.
What engine are you tuning ?
J35Y1
Dyno?
Why’d you switch mid pipes? I’m about to put the takeda on today
Hey John, car sounds good. Would love to hear cold start, warm revs, and pulls! The engine bay looks sick btw!
Sounds good I got a 2016 v6 sedan and about to get an exhaust and was looking for something similar to yours do the high flow precats do a lot more for sound? Im getting it tuned to the car as well so I can get a couple pops and crackles
You’re not suppose to disable primary 02 sensor. The car uses that to fuel the car. Your only suppose to disable the secondary one.
Interesting I have had no trouble when turning both off. I'll have to experiment. Maybe that's why my mpg is so bad now haha
Have you done any testing??
Great video and info as well man looking forward to know more with v6
hell yeah man, sounds good! have you noticed any performance differences? and would you say its worth the money? also im not sure if you know ( you proabably do lol) but that grinding noise on start is a starter issue, i had to replace mine and the problem went away, great vid!
It's just a mid pipe lol If you were going to install piping that was a difference in the diameter of the piping size, then yes, that would create a noticeable change in the engine's performance. Wider piping = more high end power, less low end torque; narrower piping = less high end power, but more low end tq. If the sound doesn't bother you and you don't mind messing with the stock exhaust, a simple rear muffler delete is the best "bang for your buck" exhaust mod, in terms of performance and sound; this is assuming you haven't deleted any of the cats, which will cause the exhaust to sound real raspy and gross (usually on the I4 models). As far as I'm concerned, most if not all of the aftermarket mid pipes for all the 9th gen Accord's (I4, V6), are all 2.5" or larger, such as 3". The exhaust parts for the 9th gen Honda Accord tend to be pricey, so I would recommend going for a custom exhaust job if that's a cheaper option (piping, resonator/glasspack, hanger, flange[s]). The stock exhaust piping for the 9th gen Accord (I4 and V6) is 2.25" into a 1.75" dual exit, or a 2.25" into 2" taper for the I4 (2.4L) models with the single exit catback.
Why did you disable knock control ?
Where did you see this?
@@littlejohn_racing says in your video description
@@gilbertsanchezz3107 Turns out its part of the 91+ octane tune from ktuner.
🔥
Impressive!
Im curious why you didnt disable vcm?
Hey that's a really good question. I need to look into it a little more but it's possible the 91 tune disabled it in the background already. My test drive I didn't initially notice it engaging.
VCM delete should be the main reason for Ktuner lol. Useless if your looking to mess with the car, 1 less thing to break and minimizes uneven wear of internals.
