This film is beyond amazing
Beethoven's 7th is perfect for these scene!!! One of the greatest pieces of music for one of the greatest speeches in history.
Who's here because of ORAL activity?😅
Every Men from India is important for us.
Love how he finds his stride at 3:31 and his loving coach sees that. Seems like the leash came off at that moment. Ugh. LOVE that. Love these movies of true connection between humans and (thus) true friendship.
Nice touch repeating the first chord as it was some sort of stammer
TEAM DAMON ALWAYS & FOREVER!!! 🥰💝💝😍
4:28 I'd like to think Lionel took a brief moment not trying to direct King George in his speech, but rather actually listening to it, and reflecting on the possible implications it'll have on his sons. If you're a stutterer like George was, and you can manage to get past your disability to convey your message...that's the ultimate compliment and achievement.
So wait…in this Uther was morgan’s dad?
Problem is, England never wanted peace. God bless who were sacrificed
Gosh, when you're at war this Speech sounds especially shrill
Who else would want to know what camelot would be like if it was under Morgan Pendragon's rule. Arthur's sister.
Tight!
how beautifully Beethoven's music set off for the king's speech! two shy chords and then a timid theme, gaining more and more power with each new repetition
As a person who used to stutter severely, this film was/is /will be a great inspiration for me.
My favourite actor of all times. He is a jewel in the British actors guild. I salute you.
I miss this show so much
SPOILER: They prevailed.
I have a really bad stutter, I'm 20 years old. This scene made me cry harder than any movie scene ever has.
@Not Another Minute My stutter had gotten better, and I’m finally getting a speech therapist!
@Not Another Minute Thanks, and have a great day! Bless your kind soul!
Learn the secret of nature her secret is patience.thanks.
3:33 it’s probably nothing but that look just makes me think ‘you’ve got this’.
Morgan deserved better
Ufff what a woman! 🖤🖤🦇
Well done Captain Barbossa!!
love this film. watch it whenever it comes on T.V. even brings a lump to my throat thinking about what the Man went through in real life trying to be a King by default and then you throw a world war on his lap.of course this film is for intelligent people who don't need car chases, cops (yawn) endless explosions etc..this is just pure history with great acting. a lot of popcorn eating kids at the cinema wouldn't get it, but each to their own. i get it..everytime.
Vecna!!
This speech applies to Russia now, as well. Amazing.
Brilliantly done ✅
Serious question : Since recording technology was available at that time, why didn't King George record his speech on a record and possibly edit out the stuttering, instead of doing it 'live'?
I have heard this speech before in war time documentaries. I thought thought the pauses was the quality of the technology at the time now I know better.
As of September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II passed away. George, Elizabeth I, Margaret, and Elizabeth II are together now.
Arthur and Morgan Le Fay merged to become Vecna.
I wish our leaders spoke like this today.
This means so much today.
And so many years lather...the "For we are called to meet the challenge of a principle which, if it were to prevail, would be fatal to any civilized order in the world. Such a principle, stripped of all disguise, is surely the mere primitive doctrine that "might is right". For Ukraine we say an to ALL EUROPE: "But we can only do the right as we see the right, and reverently commit our cause to God. If one and all we keep resolutely faithful to it, then, with God's help, we shall prevail". THANK YOU YOUR MAJESTY KING GEORGE THE VI for these words that light up our path in 2022!!!
The worst actor ever playing merlin. He is not that type at all.
Your joking Jamie is an amazing actor you clearly haven’t seen some of his big roles like twilight
@@corinnedrake3628 He's talking about the guy who plays Merlin , not Arthur .
As the gathering darkness descends on America, we recognize the threat to freedom, democracy and humanity, driven by the depraved indifferences and evil impulses of those who wish us harm. We understand that we are at another crossroads: the fascist impulse is on the march, the last gasp of a violent strain of inhuman bestiality and grift. With our help, we shall prevail.
.
the most touching ending to a scene...brilliant!!!
Yawn ..... anachronisms....
Zemmour Président !!!
Zemmour president
While the Beethoven is surely effective, it seems paradoxical (well, a poor choice under the circumstances). Listen to William Walton's Crown Imperial and imagine it as the supportive music. Yes, it would need some manipulation, perhaps some thoughtful re-arranging (hello, Hans Zimmer...)...but an English composer with such stunning and evocative music...yes! My English blood is stirring. The last 90-seconds of this work are (perhaps) the most glorious ever written. Listen all the way to the end...you won't ever forget it. ruclips.net/video/7WMrQe87gRk/видео.html
This is pathetic, if he is not fit for his job employ somebody else.
It didn't work like that in those days
Easier said than done.
God Save the King. RIP King George VI
😚😚😚😚😚😘😗😚😚
At 5:00, Churchill (who had a tongue-tied speech defect) gives his verdict to the Prime Minister -- "Perfect!" -- then leans forward and glances in the direction of the Archbishop as if to say, 'You still want to make something of it?' These little background scenes made a great movie greater.
his wife is luckiest
Man, in the US, this is like our last two presidents: first an idiot TV-host and then a sad victim of cognitive-decline, you're just listening like it's a fucking train-wreck: can they actually just say the words that someone else wrote for them? Low-barring it.
Not working...we know you supported Trump with your other sock account.
Chris Delia brought me here.
