The development of the M1 Carbine was driven by the requirements of non-frontline troops such as support personnel, paratroopers, and officers who needed a weapon that was compact, lightweight, and e...

Portugal has adopted a new rifle and now all they're military G3's are coming into the US, I'm buying one as I've been super excited about them. We have plenty of G3's or HK91's but I really want one of these cause you don't feel alot of Portuguese small arms..super super cool.
Made for Portugueses army at Lisbon, factory FBP Fábrica Braço de Prata.
Its better than every single American brand made AK rifle.
This video now has me lost about my own No4Mk1*......Mine was built in Long Branch and has a milled rear sight with a curved actuator. I hear that the rear sight was a very early version of rear sight that was quickly simplified for ease of manufacture to speed up production. So im not sure if my No4 is in its proper configuration? The gun is a beautiful example i picked up for 500bucks about 6months ago. I just wish i could find out more about my specific model of enfield?
Dear admin ! all Polish AK(s) are oval ones with factory markings number 11 unlike Bulgarians which are ⭕ ones with 10 no. factory markings. Regards❤ from 🇵🇰
The plastic furniture is very disappointing.
My used in colonial war in guinea
These were definitely the best AKs of the Cold War. I have an East German recoil spring assembly and bolt carrier that I got from you guys at Apex back in ‘17, that I used to customize my C39v2. After at least 4,000 rounds the bolt carrier shows virtually no signs of wear.
A minha companheira em 1972 --1974 na Guiné .
G 3 uma arma muito boa e resistente. Foi minha companheira por muito tempo..
Is the leather sling for the Arisaka Type 99 rifle also period correct for the Type 44 Carbine?
I just bought a PTR that looks exactly like that!
Where did you get it??
@@pedrotome9119 I bought mine from Atlantic firearms.
Ironically that thumb hole stock has a shorter LOP so my dad actually prefers it over the standard one.
Interesting.
Wow
I need 9000000000000000000099999900000000000 of those to buy
Saudades da minha g3😢
thanks
This version is different from military models, not just on the fire selector but even the way the trigger housing is connected to the receiver, on the military version it was connected with a pin just below the magazine release button. The magazine release paddle is also missing on this one. The bolt is also missing the groves that allowed to close it in a less noisy way, very similar to the Swedish AK4. But that feature was only added in the later models.
It's missing the paddle, because like with the original stock, the paddle was a no no at that time. The PTRs of today have the paddle release as those ridiculous restrictions are no longer in place.

AKM’s
I bought one of these for an absolutel steal in South Africa... gunshop had no idea what they had, to a collector its worth x6th of what I paid.... possibly the only one in SA. It was only bought into the country because it was a gift to a SA diplomat visiting EG back in the day. 😊
They were sold in masses to Africa by east Germany at that time.
Andei com uma dois anos um puco mais avançada já de uma geração mais avançada nunca me deixou ficar mal tanto na lama como na água nunca encravou .Portugal ficou a perder pois era uma excelente arma
Nice rifle. Similar to the MPi-KM I built. I went with the bakelite lower handguard & a different EG sling. Very light for an AKM with the plastic furniture. 🤠
Bought a nice RC in 2006. With my C&R it was 150 bucks. It’s a great shooter and looks great laminated stock.
Just got one yesterday there still cheap in my country.
where do you live?

Whenever Long Branch ran out of parts, Savage filled the gap.
I Believe the first 50,000 savage made were under the U.K. contract. When lend lease come along the U.S. took over the contract for the last 150,000 and thats when they started having U.S. property stamped on them

I enjoy this format…nice job 👍🏽
I need a “02” cleaning rod if anyone has one they would part with?
My favorite WWII bolt action is the Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1 * Savage but mine has the adjustable site and no grooves on the front guard
Only good for spray and pray.
No, these things were built with incredible quality. Second to no other ak ever built.
Sure guy….maybe try and learn the platform
@@sandozman6085 had one, it was a POS that was worthless guy. Have an ac556 that shoots rings around it.
@@fredrickmillstead2804 well dude man, you can watch Henry from 9 hole reviews shoot an ak 105 and hit 2 out of 5rds at 500 yards in heavy wind on stock irons. So clearly there are good and accurate aks out there. Even my last wasr shot 3 moa with stock irons. And that is acceptable for an m4. Maybe you should train with it, or your ak had issues.
Volume of fire is a component to winning a firefight. The side that fires the most bullets usually wins.

Good ❤I like
Any videos on the EG AK’s are greatly appreciated. Well done.

Good day Sir. Admin sent me, I am here for my hug and a kiss.

Grande arma, entre as melhores, muito robusta
Great video very informative . Good job .
Theses guns will keep going up in value with original parts and a good functional use. The history is there and these RC guns can be found in unused shape. Great value let the nerds chase the matching parts.
I have 2 k98 ‘s one my father bought back it’s a 1940 /147 , and my uncle’s 1939 , unfortunately his was sported in the 1950s . But my father’s is all matching even the cleaning rod .
In the Royal Netherlands Army we had a lot of Lee-Enfield rifles marked 'US PROPERTY'. So, were these all produced by Savage?
Yup, if they were No 4 mk1 or no 4 mk1* rifles.
The two position Sight Mk2 is not a defining characteristic of the No4 Mk1*, that characteristic was primarily in the design of the bolt removal method. The Sight Mk2 was introduced to alleviate a bottleneck in the production of the more complicated Sight Mk1. It reached a stage where production of the Sight Mk1 could not maintain pace with that of the rifles, leaving rifles completed save for rear sights. The Sight Mk2 was introduced for both British made No4 Mk1 rifles and US/Canadian made No4 Mk1* rifles as a stop gap measure to allow issue of the rifles to the forces. As time went on Sights Mk1 were often replaced with Sights Mk1, Mk3 and Mk4 as they became available.
Basically the * just designates whether it is the push button version or notch version on the bolt removal.
I have quite a few Russian Capture K98ks. - Red lacquer on the stock - Stocks were sanded - Big X on the receiver - Missing sight hood - Missing trigger guard capture screws - Missing cleaning rod - Deep black finish on metal - Discolored extractor - Non matching serial numbers - New electro pencil serial numbers - Mixture of early milled & late stamped parts
I got lucky with my recent RC, "missing" sight hood but the barrel is actually an early enough revision that it didn't come with a sight hood so. Trigger guard capture screws are intact, has a cleaning rod, and all parts were milled not stamped.
and blued buttplate
Thank you
I have a original one from 1941 taken from the gang that was here.. Hei å hå
Re-barreled for .30-06 ?

En block clip. You don’t strip rounds into a M1. Like a bolt action.
