I just received your email introducing me to your RUclips videos. As I am planning to make the Ira dress for spring, I hurried over to have a look. The first video I watched on welt pockets was excellent and so I watched this one as well. I am disppointed. This video and the accompanying blog are missing several important pieces of information. Firstly you do not specifiy whether the interfaced side of either the collar or the collar stand faces up or down or in or out. Not everyone knows this. Also why do you not show the layering and clipping of curved seams to enable them to lay flat? I thnk you could do a better job with this one or at least add some text to clarify these points.

I have only one questioin: How do you get the paper guide off the pants front after you've sewn it on? Thanks for this tutorial. I'll try it today.

You got it wrong! If you do it this way, it not only takes time, but it is also complicated to put together and is more likely to break. The zipper facing should be cut immediately instead of cutting a separate part.
