A run with me and my buddy sharing my car at the SCCA 4/6/2014 autocross. This was the car's first run since having the entire suspension completely reworked so we weren't sure what to expect out of its performance, but I think it did well on worn tires this is the first video I've ever put together and edited so be kind Mods are: 3SGTE 3rd Gen swap Custom 3" center exit exhaust from turbo back...

Zip tie works well actually. I use an old feeler gauge and wrap it around like a ring compressor
Removing the outer doj is a pain don’t get discouraged I use a wood block with a hole in it and a bigger hammer and it comes off. But I have ruined one or 2 because the circlip was siezed
If you don’t have gloves then be prepared to wear the grease for a week or more
Finally ive been searching for such a video like this one for a while i just got my 6 speed home and i refuse to go to the r180 hubs since i also just bought new rims :D
Legacy h6 wagon has huge brakes I have to run 17s to clear them I put them on mine front and rear 11.6 front 11.5 rear rotors and vented% my car is 2,000lbs 85rx turbo sedan with the 06 gd swap and you can only run 5x100 or get custom hubs to fit the xt6 rear hubs with 5x114.3 pattern. I just rock the gold 5x100s and rally on
9:17 I'd recommend cleaning them up entirely in a bucket of mineral spirits. That axle grease is almost certainly old enough to have been superseded. You'll want to replace it with 28395AG030
Good one! I just got my first Impreza. It was abandoned. But I found the owner and bought it off him. I think the diff bearing is bad. So working out replacing it and perhaps swapping in a slip diff version. Still working out the R160/R180 differences
