First Time Scanning Film at Home | Epson V600 - Expired Kodak TMax | Yashica Electro GSN
Song - "My Heart" by 1Timothy
www.youtube.com/@1.Timothy
Lately I’ve become interested in developing and scanning my film at home. I bought the Epson V600 AGES ago - but never used it because my photo lab (Dunwoody Photo) is such a great lab to go to. Well recently I shot an expired roll of Kodak TMax on my Yashica Electro GSN. The plan was to take pictures at this swanky event that I was invited to, but I ended up having so much fun that I just haphazardly shot maybe 14 or 15 photos while there with no real focus on focus, or aperture. I was actually going to throw the roll away, but I decided hey, why not test out my scanner.
So here we are. My first roll through the scanner. It wasn’t a...

Red Box Road Trip | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Harman Phoenix 200
Просмотров 3814 дней назад
Went up to North Carolina and Virginia last week to shoot some interviews and broll for a documentary and I figured I’d take my handy dandy Minolta with me. I had a roll of Harman Phoenix that I purchased ages ago that had been collecting dust, so I took this as an opportunity to use it! After looking at the photos I can say that I more than likely won’t use this stock again. I’m not a fan of t...
A little bit of Idaho on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Fuji 400
Просмотров 143Месяц назад
I recently had the privilege of traveling over to Boise Idaho to shadow a production company as they shot a documentary. Before meeting with them I met up with my coworker Jacob and we enjoyed a bite to eat before walking around a synagogue and surrounding neighborhood. The next day I was picked up by the production company early in the morning to head to the location where I watched them condu...
Trying Polaroid's newest film! | Reclaimed Green Edition | Polaroid OneStep Closeup
Просмотров 365Месяц назад
I got an email from Brooklyn Film camera that said Polaroid came out with another reclaimed edition and this time it was green! Although I wasn’t as excited as when the reclaimed blue came out - I still had to grab a box because…I just had to. Polaroid is where I started with my recent film journey, so it’s only right that I try the new films when they come out. I like the reclaimed series. I d...

First off, major shoutout to my dawg Justin for not only coming with me to Stone Mountain, but also capturing footage of everything on his DJI Pocket 3 camera. We def gotta shoot more in the future. Second, shoutout Wings camera in Atlanta for this awesome Medium format camera! I’ve always wanted a TLR and a Mamiya RB645 and I’m glad I kinda got both in this camera. (I still want a mamiya 645.)...
Shootin' Manual | Nikon FE + Fuji 400

I was gifted a Nikon in September last year with film already in it. I was so excited because I thought it was the legendary F4 with the waist level viewfinder (think that’s what it’s called). Turns out it was an FE and even though it didn’t have the cool viewfinder, the camera is in PRISTINE condition. It was like it just came out the box. It had a great camera strap, a nice bag and two rolls ...
The Case of the Missing Photographer | Yashica Electro 35 + Lomo Metropolis
Просмотров 69Год назад
In case you’re wondering - this is clearly a fictional story. it would be super dope if there really was a photographer that only shot keepers though huh? He or she would really be a legend. That being said - this roll of lomo metropolis turned out pretty good. My electro 35 LOWKEY might be my most clutch camera. I have yet to run a overall bad roll through it. I’ve shot expired and everything ...
A little bit of Turkey on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Kodak Ultramax 400
Просмотров 177Год назад
I’m writing this description mad late after uploading this. This was the final real stop on the trip (we went to another part of Greece after this - but we didn’t get off the boat). I liked Turkey overall but the tour guide really screwed us over by tricking us into almost buying a carpet after the tour was over. Once we were able to escape from that - we walked around and went to a small resta...
A little bit of Greece on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Kodak Ultramax 400

Second to last stop was none other than good ol Greece. This is the reason we went on this big adventure in the first place. A destination wedding. What can I say about Greece. Even though it was amazing to be out there - the actual place wasn’t that exciting to look at. I think it’s been overhyped or something because I was underwhelmed looking at everything. I think it’s more so a flex to say...
A little bit of Croatia on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Kodak Ultramax 400

Our next stop was Dubrovnik, Croatia and wow. This place was beautiful. I had no idea about this place before then and I was honestly kinda upset because this place was amazing. I had no idea that it was the home of Game of Thrones - mainly because I’ve never watched that show - but I can see why they chose it. Really cool place. It was especially beautiful as we pulled into the dock. Stunning ...
A little bit of Italy on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Kodak Ultramax 400

My wife and I made a quick pit stop in Venice Italy from Amsterdam. My wife should be a travel agent after how she planned this. We got picked up from the airport in a van with a driver and he took us to this swanky lil hotel in the middle of the city that felt edgy and fun. It was modern and clean with a decent view. It felt elegant but not too fancy. We wanted to go around and travel - but we...
A LITTLE bit of Amsterdam on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Kodak Ultramax 400

This is part one of a five part series of a trip my wife and I went on back in June. We went on a cruise to attend a wedding and it was a huge adventure for sure! We started off with a long trip to Amsterdam to catch a connecting flight to our next stop (find out next week where that was). We had dinner and breakfast on this flight and it was pretty good. Well the dinner at least. My wife had c...
A little bit of California on film | Minolta Hi-Matic 7Sii + Kodak Ultramax 400
Просмотров 964Год назад
Went to California for my grandma’s birthday and took the Minolta Hi-Matic 7sii with me to test out. I also brought a flash with me that I literally only used once. Point n shoots are cool, but I love mechanical cameras and I like that there are small options. A little camera like this is perfect for traveling with because it’s compact - it can fit in a bag or a Fanny like it’s nothing. Carryin...
Polaroid Color Frame Challenge | Polaroid Now

Although it’s already described in the video I’ll say it again here in case you like reading. My friend falyn got me some colored frames for my birthday and challenged me to try to guess what color was going to come out by taking a picture of something that was that color. He also said I could try to match the hues but since I’m competitive I was like nah we are aiming for direct matches! Lol. ...

I haven’t shot Polaroid in a hot lil minute. It’s so expensive these days and no one talks about it enough! $20 for 8 photos instead of 10!? That’s a lot lol. However, I get it. I forgot how satisfying it is to take a picture and get the results that fast. This particular film develops really quickly too - I started seeing the image come through before I even really got the photo into my pocket...

how long the film expired? i have a film it expired almost two decade, please tell me how to setting the yashica electro 35.. thx
It expired in 2012, so it was right at the decade mark at the time. I shot it at box speed. I recently shot a roll that expired in 2004 at box speed as well. I haven’t looked at the results yet, but that video will be coming soon. I say no matter when it’s expired just shoot it at box speed and make sure you shoot with plenty of light
Do you know how to fix the timer?
@@cying7642 I don’t. Come to think of it. I’ve never used a self timer on a film camera ever. I may have to look into that
I work n travel all over idaho and surrounding states and i feel like I've stayed at that same hotel.
@@Kevins_Camera I wouldn’t be surprised. It was the Hampton Inn downtown

Stop motion. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bro
A video that is just over two minutes long and the photos don't appear until over a minute into it. I don't get it.
sounds like you should get into the content creation game.
lmao awesome work the narration rly paints a picture. well, *your* pictures
Thank you!
How does this only have 6 views. Doesn’t matter. This 🔥🔥🔥🔥 they’ll catch up
Thanks bro!!
It looked peaceful
It was!
I miss using film. I learned how to develop film in film school and it was so cool and so much fun!
You should get back into it and I bet! I want to develop film at least once in my life lol
The airport text was a nice touch
Appreciate that bro
Colour Frames edition were my favourite to shoot. I haven't bought colour frames in awhile.
Love the shots ❤
Thanks bro!
The song is a cover of Simpletones “California” by a group called DAD. dadmusic4.bandcamp.com/track/california
really cool video can't wait for the next one
Thank you!
What Aperture did you use here?

Loved this. Old vibes, showed the examples… and simple 10/10 ❤
Thank you! I enjoyed your take on this film as well

Awesome video. Love to see this kind of creativity on this website!
Thank you! I appreciate that
This video felt very old school, I liked it, would have possibly been more interested in the photos if there had been some sort of theme to them though like possibly a model dressed in 70/80's clothes to fit the vibe of the all blue photos but still a cool video.
You know - I've never done a themed photoshoot before. I may have to give that a try! Thank you for watching!
Just stumbled across your video, and i just wanted to tell you i really enjoyed it. Hope to see more.
Thank you! That means a lot. Thank you for watching!
What was your favorite stop along the way? My favorite was the grocery store. 🛒 This camera is SOLD but new cameras are coming at coolittlecamerashop.com 📷🎞️
I love it, Garrett I think that the words in the middle need to be bigger cause I I can’t read them on my phone! 😮
I will make sure to make them bigger in future videos! Thank you for watching! 💙
how did you take nice indoor photos? i'm having difficulty in shooting indoors. it comes up blurry
That sounds like you may be a little off while measuring the distance. Since the camera guesses the distance you kind of have to help it by making sure you’re not too close. I had the same problem with the Fuji DL 300
Favorite film for the Olympus? I just shot my first ever film roll (Ilford 400 B&W), awaiting results from the lab!
My favorite stock that I shot with it is still the first roll I shot which is Ektar 100! I’ve tried a few film stocks since then and I think Ektar may be my favorite stock ever. I shot a roll of ilford with the Olympus too - it was one of my earlier videos on here. I hope yours turns out well!
Annoying soundtrack…couldn’t even watch more than 1 minute
Ah man, you missed all of the good parts!
Good ole Marietta square
Legendary location.

Love the film loading and the building of the mood/vibe. Would love to see some vid footage of you walking around finding inspiration for your snaps though! Your video work (color correction, angles, etc) is superb why not carry that out into the field? Subbed hope to see the channel grow
Thank you! I see what you’re saying. It may be a little hard because I shoot things so randomly - but I’m down to give it a try! Thank you for subbing!
Cool video, what camera did u use for this video?
Thanks! Sony A7iii / F4 24-105 lens
Love the vid brother, merry Christmas 🖤

Something about closing that film door is magical and kinda scary, great video!

I love your Pictures! 😊
Thank you!
Cool idea! I also have a olympus om 10 but i need to cla it first and also but new lightseals in it!:)
Are you going to do it yourself or take it to a shop?
In the moment just cleaning and new lightseals, bit in the future i want to learn lubricating an adjusting also, depends on extra costs. I would love to do it by myself, but if the gear or equipment is too expensiv i would rather send it to an expert:)
I agree! The tools are very expensive and you'll more than likely end up have to buy more and more based off of the different types of cameras.
Best camera restoration video out there
Thank you! That means a lot
Great video Garrett! Love the square aspect ratio. Keep up the good work!
