Where did you get the piniom from?

Had this same issue on mine fresh out of the box. I had to go buy new grub screws because the grub screws (front and back) were backed out ever so slightly in the drive cup.I bought traxxas grub screws from my local hobby stop which seemed more durable and a bit longer. Haven't had an issue since.

22t pinion fits if you dremel the hole slots in the lower motor mount.

Run the upgraded 46t spur , then send it 👍🏻🇬🇧

You can get a 46t spur upgrade and with the 20t pinion will give you a 20% increase in speed , plus with a smaller spur you will be able go bigger on the pinion . 20t -49t will give you 15% more speed, can't wait for you to run it to see what it's like , temps speeds etc ,

Great info , always advisable to check and use blue / green thread lock on the grub screws as I've never seen any used on any make of rc from the factory ,

Lol I said 46 in my mind . Turns out to be about 47.5 ish Not really that quick I’m not keen on the gear mesh sound either . Your video has re,affirmed my Decision to wait until I seen some videos . I had two Mavericks now Last being what this is based on the Plus XT quantum. I jumped straight in with them two But I sold them both now. May be try changing the pinion gear for a higher tooth. Or slap a 6s ESC into it . That should get it shifting a bit .

Landing gear design is very poor on this plane! Horizon Hobby really missed the mark regarding this extremely bad flaw.

Honestly, I want a closer look at their production facility. If only they were all made in the USA... I'm sure there's plenty of people that wouldn't mind such a job here. The quality overall would improve tremendously.

Hey man, sorry about your F16 crash. I have a question regarding your two flights with it. Were you flying with SAFE on both of your flights? I found their new AR receivers want to nose your plane down with SAFE when the plane is actually tail heavy. It definitely makes you feel like if it's tail-heavy, coz it gives you that nose-down tendency in the air. I crashed one of my planes the same way as you did. I keep pushing the battery back, trying to correct that nose-down tendency. It eventually became too tail-heavy and stalled on an approach. U said you push the 700g HRB all the way back. That will definitely make the plane tail heavy. I balance mine with an 840g HRB, still have about 2 inched from the back wall. I came across the same problem with some of my planes. I'm slowly figuring it out. But still wants to know what other people experiences. I don't like their nose wheel design either. Coz the strut is pointing forward. It barely compresses when you push the jet downward. Coz the strut is pointing forward.

I have one add 30 negative down and it’s perfect on full flaps landing no ballooning , I put a slow speed travel on flaps and it wow perfect !
