Great video explaining everything accurately everything tested great on my zero turn gravel except the exciter wire going to the voltage regulator I traced it down and found an inline fuse which was blown . I replaced the fuse. Then I tested with out turning the switch on it already had the 12 volts I turned the switch it stayed the same 12 volts. I tested the battery to see if it was charging properly it was over 13 . My concern is that with the voltage regulator being excited with out turning the key at all . Do you think I’m having a problem with the key switch?

Mine is not the voltage regulator . I’m thinking it’s going to be the key switch but I’ve got to run down the wires first

I'm only getting 15 volts AC out of the two outside wires. Would it make anything at all if one of the magnets came off the fly wheel? Maybe the stator is bad? It is sending 12.7 volts dc back to the battery out of the middle wire I tested.

I have Toyota tundra 2007 and the a/c works in the top of the dashboard but it not blowing any air in the front vents you think it’s the blower motor

I tested my wire to the voltage regulator and it had 13 to 14 volts and tested the wire to the battery and it had just battery voltage of 12.1 volts. both were tested at full throttle. When I connect them together and test at full throttle, I still get just the 12.1 battery voltage. The battery is new, but the system is still not charging my battery. Is it possible that the voltage regulator could still be bad or not able to sense the battery voltage for some reason?

Is it normal to hear a sound coming from the throttle area when you let off of the throttle. It's just a quick noise, I didn't know if it was normal. I think that I heard it on this weedeater too, but it's hard to tell.

What year is this trimmer? I have a 2002 model and I need help.

Great presentation sir! Would like to add that with the stator designed to produce about 30vdc at rpm, no regulator is needed. The diodes will cut the output in half turning it into DC and that is enough voltage for a good battery charge while cutting grass! That's why you get14-15 volts back to the battery. With the resistance losses thru that thin wire the battery will see about 14vdc, which is close to ideal. Old mechanic here. Helping a neighbor with this later this morning. This is bringing back all the engineering training I had as a young man. Thank you!

If I don’t have battery voltage at the output wire, rather than trace it, can I just run a new wire from the solenoid to the output wire? Or does it have to be keyed?

You got the same carb as me and its hard to tell you might have the same linkage plate as my engine for the throttle and governor which ive been trying to figure out if theres any kind of adjustment and when its time to replace it

Why would my battery wire from key stay at 13v with or without key on.i take it from this my key switch has crapped out.i have 30v at stator

Hard to believe 😂😂😂 wow.. I have changed the sub frame rack both axles and my mechanic changed the passenger side axle which is not a straight axle it's a 3 jointed one to allow for the movement when on the throttle or bumps.. my mechanic changes the axle and forgot to tighten the ball joint nut and cotter pin.. and it tore in half... IS IT SAFE TO REPAIR THE TORN JOINT ON YOUR OWN?? Helll nooo but that's what he's doing and now I have to buy ANOTHER ONE and go to a different shop.. I am not dying on the highway over a phucing AXLE that's Jerry rigged together on a FRONT wheel drive Jeep
