Junk Sega needs fixing // Let's give it a restoration!
🕹️ In todays video join me as I restore a broken Sega Master system 2, firstly giving it a good clean, and then repairing a broken joystick port, with my own custom designed 3D printed part, printed on my Prusa MK-4 3D-printer.
🟣 I bought this Sega Master System 2 for just £8 from Vinted, in a bundle with 5 other old consoles for £40 (consisting of 2 x Master System 2s, 1 x Mega Drive (aka Genesis), 1 x Mega Drive 2 and an Atari 2600 Jr.) All of them were very grubby and in need of a good restoration and some repairs.
🟣As I don't have this variant of the Master System II in my collection yet, I chose this one to give a full restoration to today, starting with a good clean inside and out, i...

Removing the Xbox Clock Capacitor before it destroys the console
Просмотров 100 тыс.7 месяцев назад
Today, join me as I attempt to future proof an original Xbox (released in 2001) gaming console, by removing the clock capacitor which is well known to leak (in versions 1.5 and below) and cause permanent damage to the motherboard. Plus, I even have a quick go at playing HALO at the end. 🟣 The clock capacitor (a 1F 2.5v supercapacitor) allowed the Xbox to keep track of time. 🟣 Removing it and no...

Would Like To See The Rest Of The Sega's Fixed And A Workshop Tour Kari
I am amused by how many ET cartridges you have on the shelf. It’s refreshing to see someone in their 20’s with so much classic pop culture icons and equipment from the 80’s and 90’s in your lab.
1:39 it says right in the middle "Nicht Öffnen". DONT OPEN. You gots to call microsoft tehy open it for yu
You have a Speak & Spell! Me too.
Well done Kari, I’ll looking forward to more videos from you, The pink color case looks real nice!
I love your vids and also ... adadadda....yoour T shirts - do u have like a affiliate link?
hi! lovely to see a younger person into Amiga
Hey Kari , may i ask what is the model number of that sony bravia ?
You have to do a video on that et cartridge
I wrote my uni dissertation on my Amiga. And printed it on a dot matrix printer. Happy days.
That Wizard shirt is dope! I need to get one.
Amazing effort, Kari. This was my first computer. Or... The standard 500 was.
Like your vids and you are so pretty
Wow, Kari, this is fantastic! I just came across your channel and can’t wait to watch more of your content. I also have a Game Boy Advance and plan to do a similar build. Thank you for sharing this!
Omg. Had one of those in my uni halls in leeds back in 1992. Im old 😢
I remember my PS1 developed an issue in which it would not read disc unless machine was placed vertically and slightly slanted upside down. Like turn it about 100 degrees from it's regular position. I feel it was caused by some issue in disc drive, but that always nagged me. Old history.

Thanks for another fun video 😀 With regards to upgrades... How about a PiStorm 600 to add an accelerator to it? Should be a fun project 😀
thank you ... the PiStorm 600 definitely one I've been looking into getting👍
thank god the warranty was already voided. lol.
Awesome video and channel! Keep up the great work! 😊
Awesome content!
Thinking of getting my first 3d printer, of the 2 that you have, do you have a favorite? Any advice on accessories a person should start with that have worked well for you? Thanks for the videos!
Both brands are excellent machines, with great communities to ask questions if you ever get stuck. If you are on a budget, the Bambu Lab A1 with AMS is a great starter machine.
Lemmings....brings back memories of my Amiga 500 😁 (still got it)
😘
This brings back memories of early home computing. This reminds me that I still have my old TI-99 4/a that I bought in 1982. Thankfully it's not in a mouldy attic but neatly squared away in its original box somewhere in my wardrobe. I should really take it out to test it one day.
Yes
I'd love to see you retro bright it, I haven't done it myself since the first procedures were posted on Amibay amongst many places. I'd be very interested in seeing how retro brightening has developed since then. Your videos have popped up in my feed occasionally due to the scary algorithm, but it was right. I like your content and today I became a subscriber with the bell notification turned on. Thank you for the great content!
the leaking capacitors are already obvious. corroded solder joints everywhere
As a person that doesn’t know anything about soldering I didn’t know you can use distilled water and baking soda? I thought only 90 percent alcohol on boards interesting . Also yes on the digital microscope what brand please or link?
I'm one of the crazy people who installed the Afterburner mod into my "very dark screen" GBA. I've also forgotten but don't doubt it!
Kari you're so gorgeous, I love the videos too! I wanna learn
If there is a uk layout I’ll be all over that!
Nice mod! I also replaced the screen of my GBA SP but with the ITA screen from FunnyPlaying. What I dislike about all these new screens are the colours, they are too saturated in my eyes. However, without a new screen, i wouldn't use my GBA at all. About games, I enjoy playing Avatar
Cool to see younger people tinkering with these type of computers!
I'd like to see you try and repair my hopes and dreams
What is the name of the profession of people who repair consoles or modify them like her?
So washing now means restoration?
that was also my thought. especially with destilled water, that doesn't clean anything from the leaked electrolyte. a few months and the amiga is probably toast again
I had an A2000 with a SCSI filecard hosting a 105MB HDD back then. Great machine. To steal a quote from this video "It made my life much easier." - ...NOT. It actually cut off a huge chunk from my pocket money 😂
I used to love getting new Rainbow magazines for my trs80 that would have pages and pages of code to type in so you could play a game.. I didn't have a cassette deck at first, so i would spend hours typing it all in, play a little while then when i turned the computer off for the night.. it was gone.
Lenslok, i never had to deal with that.. I do remember having to use a Color Wheel, among other things.
Great vid but good god the full biohazard get up is a bit OTT!😂😂😂
Amazing video. First-time viewer as of today.
Wow, you are the girl of my dreams. Single?😍😊
r u so preety girl
so envious of your space. the unsung hero of electronics repair and soldering = space. there's never enough for all the shit we need
