Very nice ❤Thank you ❤
My thoughts
Would have been lovely to see what you were doing!
Right
You’re a great teacher. I watched your How to miter a drapery corner. It was very helpful.
@@kayBTR thank you very much, glad to have helped 👍🏼🌟
I have interlined my blinds with bonded blackout which I have turned so that the fluffy side is uppermost as I am making the rodpockets out of normal lining. I want to limit light infiltration so instead of stab stitches could I interlock to the fluffy interlining? Your videos are really clear thank you
@@lisasarson6660 Hi Lisa, thank you for your kind comment, I’d recommend that you have the fluffy side of the bonded interlining against the front fabric, you then interlock that to the main fabric on each pocket line and then repeat with the lining. We rarely stab stitch now.
This is absolutely brilliant thank you. I have always struggled with mitred corners but now....
Glad it was helpful!
do you have any online classes?
You can also glue a couple pennies together, then glue them to a large paperclip and clip them to the hem of your drapes. Much easier!
Thank you, that is really helpful x
Absolutely love it I’m just about to finish a blind definitely going to give it a go.
Easier to measure the gap and add 44cm for width...
Thank you for your positive comment 😂
Perfect ❤
Ok, but where's the drama? I want to draw the curtain like I'm catching an illicit affair behind said curtain. 😅
Thank you!
Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for!!
Very helpful. Thank you.
do u add weights to every curtain regardless of the fabric?
Yes in most cases
Went to the hardward store and bought largd metal zinc plated washers.
Went to hardware store.
Hi Sasha, great video and thank you. One question, how do you work out the measurements for cascade/waterfall blinds? I notice that your blinds sit perfectly..
@@lucyhandley2611 I’d recommend using The Roman Blind Wizard, simple to use and provides a calculation sheet for perfect cascades
Thank you very much. Great tutorial.
couldn't see where you put 3rd. pin... it was off camera?
Ravioli 😊
I sew my rod pocket through all thicknesses, not just the lining.
Thank you for this useful beautiful tip!
An absolutely brilliant clear and fully instructional video. Thank you so much. Kindest regards.
what is the distance between the pins for the pockets when you first started the video they were in! thanks
ORRR... stitch complimentary colored buttons directly inside of the hem of the curtain spacing them accordingly..😉
Hi Sacha, do you have have a video of the full workshop, I want to see how the lining was installed on a mitred corner curtain.
Did stitch only one line of stitches for the rod ? Isn’t it better to make another line of stitching dedicated for the rod? And then attach the eyelets ?
🤯🤯🤯
Very useful. Thank you
I did this today and it worked perfectly!!! Thank you so much for posting.
Oh my I wanted to no how to do a mitered corner with uneven hems like how u did us with the side an bottom with different hem width an u give me such easy idea to do it thanks a mmmmmillion.

can you make just one strip for your curtain? I love how you sewed them all individual and insted I would like to just keep in a strip and sew in? Can I do that?
Thank you for posting such a wonderful tutorial. I tried it on my sample and it is perfect.
Thank you for leaving lovely feedback, the reason I post these is to help others learn new skills 👍
I can't follow along because I don't have a good angle....You should google how to position the camera. It's very distracting
Thank you for your positive comment!! 😔
At last someone doing a large blind instead of a postage stamp size.thank you.x
Blooming brilliant ... I grew up in a curtain workroom, and got taught for a year or two on leaving school. Can't remember how we made Roman blinds back then but it's now many years later and this is the clearest set of instructions on the whole of the Internet as far as I can tell. Thank you so much. Did you ever do the bottom bar tutorial you said you would?
josephine dixon thanks very much for your positive comments. I will add the bottom bar video ASAP watch this space 👍
@@sachab247 messed up one lot of lining, but no worries ... going to start over and do it properly this time. so nice to see lovely work like this. generous to share the skills.
Blooming brilliant video - so clear.
josephine dixon thanks 👍
Great videos - do you have any advice for adding a beaded or pom pom trim to the bottom edge of a blind please?
Janet Wilson I’ve got some of these coming up, I’ll post a video when I do this 👍
@@sachab247 brilliant thanks, look forward to them :)
Hi, I am looking for a tutorial on how to "crochet" the roman blind cord. Any ideas? Thanks, Ann
Great thank you Sacha, nice an easy
Hi Sacha- this is really great thanks. When will Part 3 be available please as waiting with bated breath. Thanks.
Love your videos, look forward to seeing more! Can you please do a tutorial sometime on how to calculate pleated curtains? Thank you!
Really helpful. Many thanks.
Thanks that helped me loads! Why don’t the curtains already come with the weights in them! It’s always baffled me as they look awful curling up at the edges! Thanks again 👍
Great simple demonstration that seems like something even a novice sewer like me might be able to handle! Thank you.
Jenny Baxter Thank you and you’re welcome, I’m sure you’ll master it very quickly
Glad it was helpful
