If it works for you then by all means go for it but definitely wouldn't say it's "optimal". Much easier and reliable to proc electrocute (assuming playing domination tree)

You can, it's just that they are typically built as first item power spike (they fill a similar role) before opting for other very useful items (Zhonyas, Rabadons, Voidstaff, etc.)

I think cosmic is similar to something like rocketbelt. Feels really good when ahead and you still have the damage to kill targets while also benefitting from the HP/CDR but will feel very lackluster when behind (not enough dmg to kill but also not tanky enough to tank)

Very cost effective for what it’s worth. You get bonus healing from potions, and stacking ability power just in case you snowball early.

1. The stats on it are very cost efficient, even at 0 stacks, which may give you a slight edge early on. 2. You want it as early as possible just in case you get those early kills to get the snowball going. 3. There are many times as an AP champ where you have this awkward 350 gold left that isn't quite enough for an item component which usually cost 400, so it makes your bases more efficient. 4. If it doesn't work out you can just sell it later to get a better buy if you need to. As a newer player it's fine to skip it if you think you'll be dying a lot, although protecting your stacks is a pretty good reason to play more carefully if you actually have the mental stack to worry about that.

I was hard forcing the build a lot with mix success tbh, probably not better than any other standard Diana builds unfortunately. My typical build path was ROA -> Nashors -> Zhonyas -> Flex (more HP/AP items, abyssal, Rabadons) depending on game state

My favorite change that they’ve done in a long time. Once they’re aggrod to tower, they don’t hit you. They used to mess you up if you tried defending yourself from the dive

@@gmodman12 Diana managing two full rotations in 120 mana seems okay though, assassins are riot's favourite special children.

@@BestoFriendoCassidy Two full rotations = Q + W + E? Where I come from we learned how to count in school, comes really useful actually. Also the meta favours mages right now, just because you can't climb and keep losing to assassins doesn't mean that everyone has that problem bud.

I've felt the same way for so long. Her face looks so weird but the in-game skin is amazing.

Honestly? Mostly just content reasons. But we needed AP pick and Diana is my best champ, it made (ish) sense for our comp and for my comfort level

With Phase Rush setup, Resolve (green tree) secondary runes make for better laning phase (which will be very important this season for early skirmishes and objective prio). Not sure which runes you are referring to?
