I loved this man. Still do. Not only prodigy keyboardist, but seemingly a genuinely affable good-natured guy. I even forced myself to watch "Nightlife with David Brenner" in the early 80’s, only because Billy was the music director/sidekick. Granted I was a weird kid, but I knew outer-worldly talent. RIP, Billy. I’m sorry you had to deal with the all-too common B.S. that was/is the industry; which lead understandably to dependence on drug use, and then which subsequently effects our health. I pray your final moments were comfortable despite all; I’m sure the angels were alight to welcome you; likely playing your treasure trove of amazing gospel originals. Peace out.
