Every time it messes up I switch the cable. I currently have an old beats charging cable on it. When it’s cold, I just take the controller in the house at night.

I like the flat side carbs too, just not on stock 200.212’s. They tend to open to quick from stop to full throttle. I do have a 34mm on my 340 and it runs excellent

The oring has always been sufficient for me. But I’ve also never had one that was smaller than the hole on the adapter either.

This particular one shouldn’t have necessarily been junked at it drove to that spot when it was parked. The car is solid and I found out later when I was cleaning it out that the distributor cap somehow shorted and caught on fire. She GiGi knows how popular they are as she has had many people offer to buy it. I’m just happy that she obliged to her father’s words to not sell it, but to give it to me. The car is solid and the frame is covered in dirt, but no rust.

Yes. I changed it at 167k bc it started to hesitate when taking off from a standstill. Mazda’s rule is “if it doesn’t smell burnt, don’t change it.” Mine didn’t smell burnt but it was definitely black. Car felt much better after the fluid drain and fill and a transmission reset. I’m at 268k now and I’m about to do another drain and fill.

From my understanding the float needle is the main component to keep the carb from flooding. You also need to make sure the needle seat is clean from any debris bc any debris in there will cause the needle to not seat properly.

Will it run? Yes. But it will be lean. Probably need a 105/110 yet. That straight pipe allows it to breathe better and you need more fuel to balance it out.

The oem belt was cracked but still fine at like 133k. This was a parts store gates belt and it had about 35-40k on it when it broke. Both belts were new and the tensioner.

It definitely has a small block and I thought it came with a 305, but the stickers under the hood says 4.4L V8 and I never knew they used the 265 in the 80’s. I do want to clean the block off and see if it has the 265, or if a 305 or 350 has been swapped in. It does have the quadrajet which tracks for this year!

Try unplugging the garage door opener, waiting, and plugging it back in and see if that resets something. The only time my key pad does not work is if the garage door unit is not plugged into the outlet or if the power goes out and the backup battery was dead.

Look at the angle of the lca at ride height before you jack it up then when you go to tighten that bolt, use the jack to bring the lca so the same height. They don’t want you to tighten the lca if it is drooped since that will put tension on the rubber bushing when it goes to ride height under load. And I think it was hard to get out with the angle of the impact since the transmission pan is in the way. The position mine was in was my ride height. With stock suspension, it will droop much more. Stock suspension has a lot more travel than I do at my bagged ride height.

@DariusBuildz thanks. I think that is an important point no one speaks about, I suspect most people don't know to jack up the arm to tighten. I have never seen anyone do it on any RUclips video. But my arms came with sticker notifying me to do this.

Fair point. Most lowered cars will be much closer to the ride height angle. If it was on a stock car I more than likely would have covered it.

The turbos were the 2.0T's and they are a different engine. So they may not have an official recall for that particular engine! the non-turbo engines are 2.4L.
