O' Boy ain't this just captured Rory in concert. This is what it was like. His music was raw, passionate delicate and poetic while at the same time he boomed out thunderous progressive riffs. Rory was all that and more. I was so lucky to see him perform, a year before this gig, and to meet him after and to be asked out for a drink, was quite something. Even remember speaking with Rory and Donal his brother, at the venue, where Donal told me and my companion that he used to crawl on his hands and knees through the audience cutting bootleg recording equipment evidently this one got away.

Master Gallagher was Still Rocking Hard!

This is what I remember as original Rock and Roll, with blues, Celtic undertones, and real genuine showmanship (enjoying themselves!!!!!). I've heard a lot of bands, and I have my favorites through the decades (I'm 70). And I've put Rory as my #1 now, above Led Zeppelin. It's kind of hard to choose, but it's the guitar. Rory was just good at improv, fast and spot on! Page was clean, methodical, had ingenuity, but he doesn't compare to Rory putting his whole being into it. The whole package! Classic!

GOAT in my books! Showmanship, musicianship, lyricist, jamming together with precision! And love his blues songs. They just move me!

I'm so blessed to have found Rory. I've been listening to Rory for a while now, and is it me, or can anyone else hear other bands sounds in his guitar and from the band Taste!? There are so many bands I can hear bits of them in his playing. It's uncanny! Many guitarists say Rory was an influence for them.

Rory never played his solos the same way twice. There must be hundreds of different versions of the same song

Das war mein letztes Konzert mit Rory. Ich war sehr betroffen über seine dort schon offensichtlichen gesundheitlichen Probleme. Ich war mit Freunden dort die keine wirklichen Gallagher Fans waren. Der Sound an der Bühne war anfangs erschreckend schlecht, weshalb meine „Freunde“ nach draußen gingen. Etwas weiter hinten war der Sound optimal und das Konzert war wirklich gut. Aber wegen meiner „Freunde“ habe ich es leider nicht zu Ende hören können. Das habe ich mir bis heute nicht verziehen….ich freue mich es nun nach so vielen Jahren hören zu können. Vielen Dank dafür. Rory wird immer „ the man“ sein. Niemand hat mich jemals so bewegt. Jedes Mal wenn ich in Irland bin, besuche ich sein Grab.
