Capture One now supports Wifi transfer at least with the recent Sony camera, the same way you do to transfer from camera to phone 😊

It's the camera wifi network, not regular Wifi. Check on YT Capture one wireless tethering ☺️

This particular photo shoot is a collaboration. to be honest I don't care about how to monetize my shoots because I do it as a hobby. if I didn't there are tons of ways how you can monetize photography

The amount of background blur is not only about the f stop. The distance of the subject relative to the lens and the background are as important as the f stop, that's why sometimes you manage to get blurred background with an f4 or f6. The focal length is also as important 2.8 on 200m will give you more thana 1.2 on 24mm 😊

Thanks for the feedbacks, the ideas you gave are amazing, but to be fair, I am the one who is not good at telling a story, the model was good with her hands 😅 Also for the 85mm obviously, I can take portraits or headshots with, which is the reason I bought it in the first place. But I am not a huge fan of making portraits or closeups, I am more of a half body or full body type of photographer 🤭

@@fmarjanephotography You are already a greatly accomplished photographer. But yes, directing a model is just another completely different thing. I am not really great at that as well, but I am sure that it is something that is improvable. Thank you as well for sharing your honest approach to model photography.

I agree with your points, however as you mentioned, this differs from one model to another. In my case, I always ask my model in advance if I can adjust her hair or pose before doing so. This was the case here, and I discussed this point in my previous BTS. I am a one-man team and don't have the luxury of having a MUA, Stylist, or assistant to help me adjust the model's hair or pose... My friend, consent and asking for permission are the keywords here 😊

Maybe some models are so professional that they always know how to pose. I don’t have much experience and sometimes, if I want the perfect photo results, I ask how to pose and if photographer can help me position myself. It was my request, so I don’t see a problem. Faycal is a professional photographer and knows the rules, and I only participate in such sessions. Maybe it happens very often in this world, but not where I or Faycal participate.

Hahahah I just bought that Tethering cable the week of the shoot and it was the first day using it. Yes I have that FTP option on the camera and used it before but it's slow and it doesn't work well, and needs lot of configurations, plus you need to be on the same Wifi... generally these wireless options work better with Phones or tablets. But at the same time these tethering cables are strong and long (5m) it's rare when you go far enough to pull anything. But I get your point 🤗 Few years from now, we will be laughing at tethering cables the same way we are laughing at cables from the camera to the strobe to fire it 😅

A little update, Capture one added the Wireless tethering and it's amaaaazing, no more cables 😅

Thanks a lot for your feedback. I totally understand your perspective and I agree with most of it, however I think it's more of my personal preference to incorporate more of the environment in the frame. I always had this idea, thinking why get a nice location if you will just put the model in frame or just blur the background and I never wanted to be a headshot or portrait photographer. I might be wrong in my logic ^_^ also, very few pictures from this shoot I would consider as keepers, but for the sake of the video, I wanted to add many previews because I don't like when people just post a BTS and you have no clue what the pictures look like 😊

I'm using a K&F filter. It's cheap and seems to be good. However I never used another Black Mist Filter from another brand, so I have no reference to compare to.

Indeed, having a good relationship with the model is key 🗝And yeah, you should add more lights, photography after all is just the mastery of light, artificial or natural 🙌🏾
