Call me crazy but no scripture sets the age of marriage for a woman at 18 Also the sources of this controversy are not precisely the best, as no historical accounts are, history is written by the winners as they say. The Qur'an, which is a strong source on its own, because of its contents and not any chain or history, mentions nothing about this, in fact the only companion of the Prophet mentioned is Zayd ra, and no name of any wife of the Prophet upon whom be peace is mentioned... Basically, everything that caused controversies, or wars, is not in the Qur'an, all which causes issues is made by sects or whatnot... Then the same sources which claim the 6 and 9 thing also seem to contradict this, and show a higher age doing the maths... Which again shows that those sources are not unreliable, either lack of context or simply contradictions... Now, i would center myself on the age of marriage the Qur'an does mention, and what could be the ways to test maturity. I think it will depend on common sense and the ages, and circumstances. There is wisdom in God glory to him not giving any specific number. 1. Because not all people grow at the same rate, some mature easlier than others. 2. Because conditions may change, again it's much better to set criteria other than age alone to determine maturity. Anyone wanting to deny this, will do so, but if you are logical, this makes sense. You marry, when the man and woman are mature enough and can handle their respective roles (to provide in the case of the man, which is why he's usually older by necessity) (and to reproduce in the case of the woman and also take care of the kids, which does also require a level of development, but not so much as a man, so they usually are younger respective to their husbands) Then you just treat your wife well, and seek peace, not everything is perfect. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. He claimed to be the Messiah, but before he made that claim, He was one of the greatest scholars Islam ever had. All world wide own Islamic leaders used to praise him. He defeated many Christians in debates and wrote many books for Islam. In fact he wrote the only translation of Surah Fatiha tht he challenged everyone in this world to write a better translation and tafseer (commentary) of and no one till this day can write a better one than him. After he made the claim of being the Messiah, many Muslim leaders came against him and he again is still undefeated. He only used the Quran and the Hadith to prove each one of them wrong. He continued to claim and started the Ahmadiyya Movement. Which is world wide spread today. This movement involves Khilafat (caliphate). Just like how Holy Prophet Mohammad SAW prophesied. Holy prophet said “after me there will be khilafat, after that there will be kingship, after that it will be the corrupt government and finally there will be khilafat again.” The Ahmadiyya movement is at their 5th Caliph… this completely destroys the claims of false prophet being destroyed by god. Right? Any person who claimed to be the messiah was destroyed within 5 years but here we have this guys legacy still going with millions of follower across the world for more than a hundred years. If he was a false messiah he would have been destroyed by Allah, as Allah has promised to never let a false prophet succeed. But he didn’t… How come this people are the fastest spreading and the most successful in spreading the message of Islam? They have spread Islam more than anyone ever has in 1400 years that they did in the past 100 years. So many prophecies line up for them. Actually all the prophecies line up for Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. And this guy only preached the Quran and the teachings of the holy prophet. He did not bring in any new teachings. He simply only spread the msg of Islam and sadly people went against him because he was ending their traditions and teachings they had goin on from time tht had nothing to do with Islam. We needed someone to save Islam and he did. Hadith in Bukhari where the prophet (SAW) describes what Jesus looked like. On the same page there are 2 different descriptions of Jesus. One Jesus that is among the dead prophets nd he has redish hair and white skin. The other one is with the antichrist. Brown skin and long black wavy/curly watery hair. Along with a description of the anti christ (dajjal). These Hadiths clearly show that there are two different ISA .as. One that has passed away and one that will come during the end times. Im sorry to tell you but Jesus that came 2000+ years ago has passed away. And he is not coming back. No where in the Quran it says that Jesus is alive in the heavens. Not a single verse. The death of Jesus is mentioned in the Quran more than any other prophet mentioned. You guys need to look deeply urself instead of listening to others. Learn the truth. Someone like Jesus will come. But not the same Jesus. Just like John the Baptist came back and represented as Elijah. For who the Jews were waiting for. The main reason Jews denied Jesus is because Elijah was supposed to come back... and Jesus pointed at John the Baptist and said he is that Elijah that was supposed to come back. Be. Realistic. It’s impossible to come back from the dead. So if Elijah never came back for the Jews... Jesus isn't coming back either. You guys make the same mistake as the Jews did and deny the truth... remember righteous people are named after other righteous people.
