Hey, thanks for the tutorial. Just got this for Christmas. I understand it now, but some more clarity on how to adjust the trim bushings and how they work would make this video a bit better. But you helped me get it set up all the same! GREAT idea with the master cases for ease of future setup in between cartridges.

It more of a uniformity thing for me. I also found it helps with sizing if the necks are slightly miss shaped to not have friction drag on the expander. If using carbide dies its not 100% necessary but I still use it because its cheap and doesn’t hurt.

I have found that the primary set screw (i.e. the one that holds the stops on the shaft) will slip under pressure as multiple cases are trimmed. It simply does not grip tight enough to hold the stop in place. The solution is to get a locking collar to put onto the shaft behind the stop. This will hold the stop exactly in place for hundreds of trim jobs. I still test each trimmed case for exact length.

I'm guessing there are many prospective folks out there trying to figure out if reloading is for them by checking out this video. As a longtime reloader-47+ years-I started when the appeal was to load for "less" cost than factory, then it was to load specific rounds that performed well in YOUR firearms or odd-ball, surplus rounds, now, with the cost of components sometimes exceeding factory ammo, I posit that reloading is an irreplaceable "skill" to have, given what's happened in the last few years!!! Not to discount the fact that Big Gov doesn't want you to be able to "make your own ammo", I say it's even MORE important! Every Patriot should stock tons of ammo AND reloading components!!! When that "supply chain" gets cut off, and there's not a box of 9mil or 556 to be had at ANY price, you'll have peace-of-mind, KNOWING you've got the ability and resources to "roll your own"!!! Think of it as "Life Insurance"! TRUMP/VANCE 2024!!!

RUclips has done more to make all the guys try and keep up with the Joneses... it gets old after a while. It's like we all have to get the lastest, greatest, coolest thing every couple weeks. It's an exhausting treadmill. I put my cases through a tumbler with some Bar Keeper's Friend. They're not shiny, but they're clean. They get a matte/satin finish that I think looks cool. They probably don't shoot any better than if I didn't clean them at all. I do take more time making sure they're free of lube before shooting them, though. Lubed cases really do increase chamber pressure: I've seen that one in real life. I've been thinking of getting one of those electronic powder drops, but then I'd need to get some electric outlets installed around my bench. Probably worth it, but still costly.

You need to revisit your priming method. It appears you have your hand over the case mouth and have the case mouth pointed towards you face. If you ever detonate a primer that way you could suffer some unfriendly burns. Turn the tool away from you and get your hand away from the open case mouth.

Best coyote bullet is 64gr Nosler Bonded Performance Solid Base. Or whatever they call it. Penetrates Wile E. from any angle. Short enough to stabilize in most 22-250s and fits AR15 mags. Most 22 cal vmax or ballistic tip bullets struggle to reach the vitals of a north-bound coyote when shot in the south end. I would choose the Nosler Ballistic Tip over the rest because of the Solid Base. But the one mentioned at top is the cream of the crop. Thanks for sharing!

Are the chambers of your two 22-250 guns at opposite ends of specs, and is the reason you have two sets of dies for the round? I have 2 guns chambered for the same round and my dies fit one exactly. I know that because I've loaded/fired the same cases 17 times, this for a belted round. For the other gun, I swap out the standard shellholder for a Redding Custom Competition Shellholder. Thanks for the vid!

Size cases, brush primer pockets then tumble with stainless pins, dawn and lemeshine. Trim, chamfer cases and vibrate with walnut shell overnight. Look as good as new. Primer pockets are spotless, even the I side of cases are shinny....my only concern is maybe all this cleaning could be work hardening my brass. But WTSHTF I know if a round doesn't go off its not because of a dirty case... To that point back shortly after COVID I got some Federal primers that wouldn't detonate.....don't know why. Restruck them but still wouldn't go off. My thinking was just quality control during the rush to resupply. Anybody else have a problem with federal primers during this time fram

I agree with 95% of what you said there. Sparkling clean brass doesn't shoot any better, exotic brass, neck tension, annealing, other fancy processes, will only help past a certain point, exotic process tools will only help past a certain point. If the gun & shooter isn't up to it in the first place, no percentage in pursuing past a certain point with it. There are some things a person can do to speed up and simplify case processing that aren't overly expensive, and just make the process a little faster and easier at a fairly reasonable price. And there are some gimmicks in amongst them too, all the companies have one or two, they all have duds as well.Need to know enough about the process to spot those, or do some deep dive research on them, and in some cases, read between the lines on how people are defending them, or bitching about them.
