@tomicabrera231 I put some sticker heat shield on the inside of bottom left fairing. Nothing melted except for the carbon fiber tips on exhaust.

@IOverdoneCrownI I'm in the USA so we only have one sensor. I think Europe and some other countries have 2 sensors for environmental control. Try it with just one sensor. Maybe you get an engine light. Also, if you have issue with engine not starting or cutting out, then increase the "idle speed" with control on bottom right of bike.

@Band222 Probably not a good idea. The o2 sensor may go crazy. Also, the muffler and cat converter are one piece. Once u cut that off the pipe is just gonna hang on bottom of bike.

@Band222 I had to take off the aftermarket exhaust when I traded in the ninja 650. I'm in the NY/NJ area if u want to get it cheap from me. I'll also include bunch of left over parts for Ninja 650...

@louierivera7512 If you want something cheaper, search Amazon for DMD or Shogun Frame Slider for Ninja 650. Also, Front Axel Slider (there are also rear axel sliders but u can't install it since Ninja 650 has a pin in the rear axel).

This exhaust is only for US version with 1 O2 sensor. If you already bought it then maybe you can plug the 2nd slot with plug screw that came with exhaust?

@genxjya it's not that a slot remaining. It's the second sensor (and the wires) that are left hanging, and I'm nervous if it will appear the check engine

Actually it's more expensive otd then similar msrp/cc bikes. Also used prices are much higher than others. For example, I could get Z650 or Ninja650 for minimum $1k less than mt07.

@@genxjya the mentioned are very beginner friendly. I know because my wife has the z650. The gsx750, honda hornet 750, gsx8s are the bikes the mt07 has to compete with.

I don't think it has anything to do with the price. There's clearly an error in manual, cause they torque spec is way to high for such a small bolt.

That's crazy. For the rear axel, I used 75 ft lbs instead of 77 ft lbs in the manual. I think yamaha or any manufacturer should always design so there is some protection above or below torque. Especially for common maintenance stuff.

Yes major QC issues. I bought a '24 MT07 3 weeks ago and last week the engine started making a clanking noise along with a serious vibration. Been sitting in the shop for a week now with no answers yet.

@DscRides577 Good idea. I even saw a post on reddit where the guy cracked it with 20 ft lbs. Tight with hand then maybe 1 or 2 tugs should be good enough. Check the chain - after adjusting I torqued the axel to 75 ft lb (manual says 77). I skipped the Throttle body sync (really unnecessary unless bike is running weird - idle jumping, lots of shaking, etc).

@@YammiePro Hand tightening a drain plug is way to loose. You'd be lucky to apply more than 2-3 ft lbs of torque (or 4-5 Nm by hand (IF you mean by just using your fingers). The correct torque should be used, and if it cracks like in this video there's a serious production error (I did'nt see the full video, just the start). If you hand thighten it, and it comes loose while driving, you get oil all over your back tire and a very possible whipe-out (plus much likely a ruined engine). If in doubt, why not let the dealer take that first service? Because then if, against all odds, this happens when the drain plug is thightened, it's on the warranty. In Europe (where I live at least) the warranty is voided if service program not followed.

I did the door opener with outdoor rated velcro on my previous bikes. I can take it off whenever I need but even if it gets wet, just let it dry out and no issues. I didn't have any velcro this time but will change. Quick shifter is tempting 🤔 but no $ because I had a major issue during my break-in service. Vid coming soon...

Got 2 Yamaha OEM replicas. They r good quality but doesn't do much with wind. Will check out National Cycle one or maybe get a replica of a Puig.

for my 2022 Blue MT07 i bought the mid size Puig windscreen....I think it's the perfect size for the MT07 I love the bike.....It's hard to go slow...

@stevegaines-vq3bd I'm gonna get the replica one from aliexpress. If the quality is bad then I'll get the authentic one. So the puig does give ok wind protection around 80mph?

@@genxjya IMO, most windscreens are too small......Puig sells 3 sizes, The middle size is perfect.....But It is a "naked" bike so going 80 + it's ok but not going to block all the wind.... BUT... It looks cool AF......

Connecting an ecm scanner/ code reader plugs under the seat. Should look into CB racing case savers covers left / right,water pump and water outlet.

You mean the small windshield I have on mine? Does almost nothing but does look good. Your exhaust sounds good but probably not gonna mess with exhaust til warranty is over.
