One thing about Azur Lane figures is that they generally tend to bin pretty hard especially when pre-owned. That Black Prince was stupidly cheap.

I was looking for that figure to be unboxed. It seems really great But I think I am not going to get it. The space is an issue. It is almost perfect for me. But to commit so much space it has to be exactly perfect for me. If the face was just a little bit different. Her hair bangs just a little bit different. 😥 So close to perfection... I need to only get perfect figures, if they are big. Prize can be imperfect because they are small and I even paint or modify them for fun. I would be hard pressed to paint or modify a 1/3, 1/4, or 1/5 scale. Too expensive, too much risk

I'm a collector like you (I'm in NC). Go bigger. I have a couple of 1/3rd scales and I already ordered the 1/3rd Momo and Darkness. Can't wait. I realize that they might get cheaper and that they might release figures of other characters that I want more. I also got the Prime1 2B 1/3rd scale... she's a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

At 1/4 and 1/3 scales, I would rather just double the amount and buy a proper ball-joint doll and get a proper "action figure" that can be posed endlessly as well as access to real textile clothes (albeit expensive). Some dolls even come in silicone for "ehem" added fun. Of course by then it's just a generic doll which you really have to customize and buy option parts to perfectly match your character, since the licensed out of the box ones are sky high and sell out fast.

That base is the size of an ordered; medium, cheese pizza at, 11:40. Dang! XD

Regarding the 1/3 Momo and Yami figures, I completely understand what you mean! They look absolutely beautiful, but those price tags hurt. I can see why people think they will bin in the aftermarket though, because are there really that many people that can spend that kind of money on figures? Or they could potentially explode in the aftermarket, but again, is that really realistic given their sky high price tag to begin with?

Thanks for this video. Just got mine and had the same problem with the base. It's relieving to see that it seems to be an issue with all the bases and not just a me issue. The way you fixed it was interesting. Never would have thought of it myself. Think I'll try another method first. I have a 3d printer so I might so if I can do some sort of custom base for her.

I've heard so many people end up breaking the tail during assembly and while fiddling with the leg. Im scared to death to take mine out of the box to be honest. I almost thought your tail was going to snap at 10:55. Happy it didnt. I could easily see just a slight angle or so different or if it fell at the wrong point it couldve happened to anyone

I have a question! How do you keep all your figurines from getting dusty, even if you don't have an shelf for them? I have most of them in their normal boxes and some bootleg fake figures from China with no box art, on displays. Some of them parts had to be super glued. I've seen some used a feather look like tool to brush off dust without knocking your figurines to the lightness - touch. Hmmm.

As for figures, my pet peeve is when the figure got a slight difference on the face. (just like in resin statues, they will have different face vs the anime original art good example are the resin statue of Ereshkigal from FGO) Many times I pre-order stuff based off the pictures of course from the original first molded figure. And I am like wow she looks epic. Ofcourse they will since they are the original molded production. Then I see videos or images of it and on close up from other people who bought it (not the original displayed from stores), its always the "face" that makes me change my mind. Some figures got the Face bang on. It looks exactly like the original art etc. But some face are a bit "off" and even a slight difference makes me say no to a figure. Good examples of Figures I own where they really captured the "essence" of the face of the character are FGO's Jalter made by Licorne and ALTER and Melt Lancer made by ALTER. I have them and the figures looks out of this world. Face and expressions looks just like in game and the art. In the other hand one's that looks a bit off is like Ereshkigal and Berserker Jalter made by GSC. Everything else looks on point. But a close up to the face and it just does not look right for me.
