A Non-car guy made this. The entire 427 shoot was of a Chevy. Not even one picture of a Ford 427. I was going to give this a thumbs up until that point. At least Google Ford 427 for information before you make this, LOL.

The 427 shown is a Chev!! Boss 302 was not a 'calm' engine. A homolgation special for Transam racing. Showing a modern Boss 302 is pointless Flathead was never a secret, just an archaic engine when Henry introduced it in 32. And it was around until 54. For all the work building a pushrod V8 engine would have been easier. And up to date unlike a 5-1 comression sidevalve!

In 1966 , my dad bought a new Fairlane 500,289 four barrel. He wanted the 390 with a 4 speed, but mom said’ no, get a family car’. I was about 5 when he got the car, and when mom wasn’t with us, he wasn’t easy on the throttle. In the early/ mid 50s , he had a 40 Ford Standard coupe with a Cadillac 354 hooked to a Lasalle transmission and a two speed differential that walked away from every other car in the area. Grew up with a rodder, so no wonder that I’m one at 62.

I have a model of one. I'm a 3rd Gen lover, owner and driver but very fond of 2nd gens (74-77 mostly) Idk how many of these were made but I like the look of the Berlinetta better than the z28. I don't like the fender louvers .in all the years of going to car shows in 3 states I've never seen one of these in person but it's cool they used turbos back then.

Thanks for posting. I've never seen a real 300 c srt8 wagon that I know of ( many people molest the sexy magnum wagons with 300 front ends which I personally don't like ) but they didn't produce a Hella lot of srt8 magnum wagons even though know it all know nothings who think they know everything have said they made 100k srt8 magnum wagons on other videos. Every one of these wagons on here are awesome and rare now a days even in stock base trim. I think all wagons are cool no matter the year, make or vintage from Cavaliers,to tri five wagons to 60s impala wagons to escort wagons . It won't be rare but I want to LS swap a now hard to find 1st Gen square body (82-87) Cavalier wagon and make a sleeper

I'd like to see each one of these cars with just a set of headers installed back then when they were new and a set of drag slicks just to see what they really could run. That 66 396 Chevelle- 14.2? Headers, slicks and the right gear, at least a 3.42, I'm guessing more like low 13s. The same for any of those cars, especially the big blocks. Knock off a second with headers/traction and a decent mid 3's gears, which you could order right from the factory. Those skinny ass biased ply tires, Im surprised they could get low 14s out of those things.

My dad had a 1973 Dodge Coronet Crestwood wagon 400 2 barrel carb. It had the rally gauge cluster 150 mph speedometer. He got it up to 138 at which point it started to to float so Dad backed it off. We were on I-40 between Flagstaff and Albuquerque. Absolutely no traffic that day.
