In my quest to find the perfect case for my new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, I settled on the Torras MagSafe Case with S-Pen Holder (see last video). Can the Canon 90D with a 15-85mm lens fit into the 4L Bellroy sling?
I'm sorry, I don't have any cameras to test.
That’s an interesting idea. But if you have that ring stand thing that goes on the back of the Torras MagSafe case, what is the advantage of the Samsung case? Unless you’re really in love with that strap on the back?
Right! I was just showing another option, as not everyone wants to switch to the Magsafe ecosystem.
I’ve been interested in moving from an iPhone pro max to the z fold. And I did have everything you mentioned on a case wishlist (probly everyone does). So the case isn’t too wide or heavy in your pocket? It just looks a little wide.
Not to me. Even with this case on, it's narrower than my wife's S24 Ultra. It's less than 7.5cm wide, if that helps.
It is not supposed to have any air in, that's what saves space. The sides only stick together when it is almost empty and you can always just squeeze it. Also, why do you need it to stand up? It doesn't leak, so you can just lay it anyway you want.
Thanks. I want it to stand up when on my desk, but I realize this isn't the main use for this bottle.
MagSafe works, but will a magnet pick it up?
Not sure what you mean. Will a magnet pick up what?
@@NolanOfConsequence the whole phone! eg will it hold it's own weight stuck to say the fridge?
@@willowkai3829 This Kaiiecal case is not MagSafe, so not this one. But the MagSafe case I have settled on, the Torras case with s-pen holder -- no. It will not stick to the fridge by itself, but it does with the magnetic ring/stand (MagOne Ultra) I have attached to the case, which is magnetic on both sides. I hope that answers the question.
Did you try the Bellroy Sling 7lt (it is not much bigger than the 4l but has more capacity).
I tried the Bellroy Lite Sling 7L. Similar thoughts: ruclips.net/video/6F5KQIzYmKw/видео.html
I went with the otterbox. Mainly because I work and restore muscle cars and am afraid of dropping or worse. For a proffessional it would be overkill though
Definitely good protection, and sounds like you have good reason for it.
I came from a Note 20 ultra. I was very hesitant because of the camera downgrade as well. I do alot of building/ restoring muscle cars and go to shows and take lots of pics. But i was mainly worried about dirt and debris with the fold being a mechanic. But. I decided to just buy it and try it. I liked the note for its size and s pen this z fold is narrow but im finding it to be better since it folds. Im just kinda upset with samsung because when i went to buy it I had to pay extra for the blue color or black but last week (2 days after I got mine) they ran a special with 565 dollars off the blue or black and it was over 700 off the pink, bringing the price down to under 1000. I guess we all cant be winners but i live in the country and the farmer mowed down my phone box near the telephone pole and its been 3 weeks and Ive had no internet and the cell service is horrible so i havent been able to test the wifi speeds. I bought the watch and the buds as well but havent used those yet. Thanks for the video because ive been asking myself the same question of why I went with this z fold and it helps.
Glad it's helpful. Their price match period is 15 days (according to the agent I spoke with on the phone). Call them at 1-800-726-7864. Unfortunately, I'm outside that timeframe.
Bro keep it movin.... way to fking slow on the review
Appreciate the feedback.
What do you prefer most z fold or the new Google fold so undiciced
What features do you like about the Pixel Fold? For me, Samsung software and features take the win. Plus I don't really want a wider front screen, I love the one+handed feel of the Samsung Fold 6. Samsung won me over from Pixel phones a few generations over, so I honestly haven't even given the Pixel Fold a second thought.
@@NolanOfConsequence thank you so much I always use Samsung was thinking about something different but yeah thank you for the advice
Of course! Thanks for watching.
Try the honor magic v3. I did today and i was blown away. Hoping i get my preorder delivered early because i went for the red which is delayed at the moment
Unfortunately not available in the U.S., right?
@@NolanOfConsequenceyes its not but the global version can be imported
Which US carriers does it work on? I read not Verizon.
Not a very good option if someone used to Samsung ecosystem. Thinner and lighter and better zoom but other than that…
@@joaoroman9583i get your point. But truth is that is the beauty of tech. There is nothing the samsung devices can do that this cannot do except you have a samsung eco system that doesnt work well with orher devices. After-all your samsung journey started one day. I for one, i am an apple person but giving android another try as a second device.
Man, Im heavily considering getting the z flip 6, but my only concern is how the folding screen is going to hold up over time. From everything I've read online of people's experiences with the phone is it all comes down to how nice you treat the phone and how lucky you are. Would love to see a video of how you feel about the phone after using it for a month.
Will do! I had that concern, too. So I bought the Samsung Care plan, plus I figure I'm not likely to keep this phone for several years like I normally do. With the pace of innovation, specifically in the foldable space, and the upgrade discounts, I'll probably trade it in after two years. And the improvements they supposedly made to the hinge this generation gave me a little more assurance, too.
Too much crapt
You're not wrong. I'm new to using a bag this way, so hope to narrow down my list of things I actually need to take. But I also want a bag that allows for situations when I need or want more stuff.
This case is my perfect airplane sling. Fits in my backpack. Pop it out when I’m in my seat.
Absolutely agree, I love the 3 not having to keep my backpack under the seat. Of course now days it seems more airlines are not allowing them to go in the overhead bin, which I find ridiculous, as I paid the same amount as someone who chooses to bring their big carryon. But I digress.
I agree, Akeeni wallet (6-card) is perfect for me. I too can't stop talking about my wallet. I like to "whip it out" and compare wallets with friends. I need to make a video review as these wallets have zero moving parts I can see that could break or wear over time like other wallets out there
So true! It truly is an amazing wallet!
I just got this delivered today and should have paid more attention to the descriptions. They REALLY could have done more with the internal organization on this and I just by default expected more from Bellroy honestly.
Yeah, I guess some people just like a dark free-for-all stuff sack, but not me.
@@NolanOfConsequence Agreed. I mean a divider and a non-zippered soft pocket big enough for a plus phone wouldn't have been that hard to add. Oh well!
The only thing stopping me from buying this bag, it doesn't have a a zipper bag on the back. Like close to me
Yes, that is a bummer. It's nice having a secure pocket on the back.
Love the wallet however it messed up your cards pretty badly...
My cards? I think they were already messed up, but maybe. I don't worry too much about them, they're just credit cards. I get a new one when they expire, anyway.
Hello! Does the standard caps fit this bottle?
Yep, it’s 28 mm standard mouth so typical cups from regular cola 0,5 ml are absolutely fits in
@@nobledante5560 Thank you!
@@nobledante5560 excellent, then Sawyer filters should fit as well.
Very nice!
Thanks for the video. I ordered mine today.
Have you received it and tried it out yet? I'm still loving mine, but just got the Galaxy Z Fold and trying to figure out the best case for it. Hopefully one I can stick the XSTO phone holder to but we'll see.
Is the strap sold separately?
No, it came with a strap. I think they have a premium strap you can buy separately, or maybe I'm thinking of Peak Design
The whole point of the design of this is in "space saving" + "Ultra Lightweight".
So do you have one, and do you like it? I've used it a couple more times since the video - it's good for "stuffing" somewhere, but I still don't like that it doesn't stand upright and that it's hard to get the water out. Just preference.
get the 9L Venture Sling, can fit all your stuffs.
9L just feels too big for me. I might as well use a backpack at that point.
I think the fact that you can’t also fit the stuff from your pockets is testament to the huge amount of stuff you actually got into the bag!
Very true!
Seems like the magnet not working on the inner pocket is a fail.
Really it's just because I had that part so stuffed, but it is true that those innermost pockets aren't really that usable for anything other than tiny flat items, like SD cards. To be fair, that's what they're designed for.
I'm concerned about the lack of RFID scanning from the exposed side of the wallet. I guess I can use an RFID blocking card as a fascia but just wondering if you know anything regarding RFID protection of this wallet.
Everything I've read says RFID protecting your wallet isnt worth worrying about; much more likely to have info or money stolen some other way. But also, the way it sits in my pocket, the metal part faces outward, so that does block scans.
@@NolanOfConsequence I bought the XSTO wallet. Chose the 8 card version. I guess you're right about RFID protection not being a major concern nowadays.
I think you're supposed to squeeze it, not blow air in it, which is weird
Blowing into it was a test to see if I could prevent the sides from sticking together and limiting the flow of water. But yes, it's made to be squeezed out or sucked out.
Drying the Vapur after cleaning was a bigger problem for me. There would always be a bit of water left in the bag. Over time it would probably grow mould, even if I only filled it with water. The HydraPak, being able to hold its shape, dries out much easier.
@@superdx23Oh interesting. I've never had a problem with mold in my Vapur bottle. I just wash it and tip it upside down in the sun with the lid off. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video. I've watched maybe 6 videos about this bag waffling back and forth. YOUR video pushed me other the edge to purchase. I took a survey after the purchase that asked what made me buy it. I put the link to your video as why. Great job 👍 and thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Where I see that being useful is for hiking and using it to refill a Nalgene bottle. Extra water without the bulk.
I agree, I think it'd be great for that.
This was actually a great review…there is definitely something wrong with Bellroys “L” (liters) measurements. I love the bags but I am yet to find one that actually works for me! I bought the 9L and the 10L at once to try them and see which one worked for me because I wanted to be able to take my iPad 11” if I needed to…right away the 10L was a no since its divided inside with more of cameras-driven thinking…the 9L is awesome with nice organization but one there are a few things inside, there is no room for the iPad…so I took those back and ended up getting the Aer Day Sling 3 Max, everything fits, designated iPad pocket, nice organization! Still hunted by how much I liked the Bellroy though, I recently got the Ready Sling 2.5L…I don’t get the LITERS thing!! I got it just to have a Bellroy for the run, car keys, home keys, cellphone and a wallet..maybe my sunglasses…2.5L and it is a tight fit!! I have a minimalist wallet. So I ordered the Alpaka Elements Tech Mini…anxiously waiting to see if works better than the Ready Sling! I believe I have exhausted my options with Bellroy, which is sad because I love the colors, the materials, the straps…but there is something definitely wrong with the sizes, liters or whatever!!
Thanks for sharing, and I agree, "haunted" is a good descriptor. I'm still drawn to Bellroy even after trying 3 of their bags and returning them:)
@@NolanOfConsequence Same here! :(
Should've gone for the light color😉👍
Maybe so, maybe so. To each their own. Thanks for watching.
After watching almost every bellroy venture sling video, this was recommended to me. Thank you so much for posting this as this hopefully serves as a more detailed look to every hype that has built up in me 😂
Glad I could help!
Men in Black II
A hero clip, when traveling, has become indispensable to me. Keeps my carry on backpack off the ground when using the restroom and move it to my day pack when I reach means at restaurants I won’t put my bag down and forget it. Just an FYI, thanks for the vid.
Thanks for sharing!
What about the Go Sling series? They're larger with a better strap too.
They look like great options, but larger than I wanted.
Hello! Can you please tell the name of that carabiner you have on front strap of the bag?? Thank you!
So sorry, I don't know, I just picked it up as free swag at some conference! I'm not sure I'd recommend it, as I haven't used it much and always worry it's not going to hold, what with the open end. I'd go with something like this solution from Gecko Travel Tech: amzn.to/4agnCJ2, as it closes around the bottle, plus can attach to bottles that have their own handle already, as well as other uses. If you get it, let me know how it works, as it's on my wish list. Thanks for watching!
I found the 6l was a little small for my needs as well, so I got the 9l and a different case for my iPad (8" Tokyo folio from Bellroy) and that combo is perfect. The back, zippered pocket was still too small for the tablet but the separate protection of the folio solved it just fine while giving me even more storage organization (notebook, pen, and a couple of other small things.)
How are you liking the 9L? Is it working out well for you still?
@@NolanOfConsequence it's working pretty well for when I need to carry more. I have my iPad or a book (can do one not both with the other stuff I put in there), a water bottle, and a packable rain jacket in there most of the time.
Agreed with the thinner/malleable material. We don’t need 1000D material all the time. I just got a pakt to try out.
Awesome, I hope you love it!
Also: I started carrying/attaching, for flights, a "dump pouch" like those from one Tigris, elite spanker, etc. They work great for cruising thru TSA & using it as a TSA tray. Breeze thru & then you have an organization for the hotel.
Your video is out of veiw range and upside down, I tried to watch it, seems like a good review. Too bad you did not fix it.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm just starting out, practicing, and figuring out my setup space. I decided not to let perfection get in the way of progress.
Is the Sling Lite in Black or Midnight?
The one in my video is midnight (navy blue). It's a really nice color.
Hello. Would you say the bag can fit a mirrorless camera like the sony zv e10 (with lens) and still have room left for other things?
Maybe. Sorry, I don't really know, but there are other channels more devoted to photography EDC.
Have a look at the alpaka vertex pouch if you haven't already, its a sling tech organizer that is also designed to function as desk caddy.
Yes, I definitely have my eye on that. Hard to justify buying another bag when I already have 2 slings and I'm not sure the Vertex would be much better for my use cases. But I do like how the top hangs down vertically when open, instead of folding over and resting on the table like the Evergoods Cap2. So it essentially takes up less space on my desk than the Cap2.
Yup! My peak design is on my desk too. Some maxpedtion FR1 are marketed as first aid… but they drawbridge open for access.
Thanks for the info! I'll have to look that bag up. I'm finding there are many bags in niche markets or uses like that, but that can serve in others.
@@NolanOfConsequenceYou should have tried alpaka tech case max. I use it as my daily and wife has pakt 5L anywhere👍
Please CENTER your subject as it's all over the place and hard to watch at times. Much of the video in the first third it's up at the top, Annoying to watch at those times. Thank you.
I'm new at this, so appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for this great video
My pleasure!
Do air pod Max headphones fit in it?
Sorry, I don't have those to try them. I know Alpaka makes a headphone case specifically designed for that so you may want to check it out.
What is the name of ur usb case?
I think you mean this one, but let me know if I got that wrong: amzn.to/3P3GmTn
Interesting concept. Good luck with finding the “perfect” bag, I’m still searching, lol. Have a few though that are pretty close.
Which ones are on your short list so far?
@@NolanOfConsequence let me check tomorrow and I’ll get back to ya.
@@NolanOfConsequence Sorry for the delay, but here’s my short list, in no particular order. 1) Mountain Smith fanny pack (not sure the model or size, I’ve had it for several years and use it whenever I’m running around town). For me, it’s my go to bag, holds just enough stuff that I need. 2) Osprey Daylight pack, 7L I think. 3) Maxpedition Remora, with additional small water bottle holder 4) Maxpedition Sitka when I’m hiking or going to drive an hour or more from home. Hope this helps!
Is this video upside down?
It depends on your perspective ;)
