"Do you come in a range of colors?" "Yes" ×2 Now this I gotta see
huge black mirror vibes
This is the one I’m most curious about.
Welcome back Steven moffat.
The One Who Waits is coming.
Why is Troughton at the back? Is it because they want us to forget they destroyed half his performance? Dang you, BBC.
Who's that ponytail Lady on the Left? That's the Doctor? How old is the Doctor?
Fugitive doctor. Basically a hidden doctor that wasn't mentioned just like war doctor
I prefer the closing version. Those piano chords accompanying buildup sound much better than those descending strings 0:04
Fucking asmr just because Disney now own it and well ye..
disney doesnt own it. the only thing disney has done to doctor who is allow it to be streamed. thats basically all they can do.
@@InfiniteProductions123 still fuck up tho with story lore and character. Time and monster no longer scary :/

To date theres 24 incarnations to call themselves the Doctor. The Timeless Child experimented incarnations dont count. They didnt take the name then.
Love this theme! Wasn't sure when I first heard it, however after hearing it be used in The Giggle, it works really well for the 15th Doctor 😀
This was such an unexpected thing to happen and really opens it up for more David Tennant adventures
I love it, it's like immediately they're overjoyed to see each other. Two peas in a pod. Brothers.
The breathing sounds like Kanye West's 'BlaKKK skin head'
Just came here to say that I LOVE THE WEIRD BREATHING
I was iffy about the credits initially, but that throat singing or rattle gives a mechanical feel to the song. I kind of love it now.
Amazing how Tennant is in the line up twice, once for each of his regenerations
why wouldn't he be?
@@ZDProds-c8pI kinda figured they’d put the newer version in the original’s place
@@codyleroy7 ofc not when its 2 separate incarnations
RIP metacrisis. he gone.
Percussion sounds good.
What's all the panting about? Is it some sex thing?
I think the breaths are a clever way to point back to the Tom Baker time vortex’s “hiss” that was part of the composition. Bold choices are always interesting to me
Kind of boring 💤
Oo u so different
I legit got goosebumps when the Middle Eight played in the closing credits. They completely abandoned it during the Moffat Era save for an "accidental?" use in the closing credits for The Beast Below, and also a special occasion use in Day of the Doctor. The Chibnall Era used it a little more often I think, but again, only for special occasions. I hope it's here to stay. RTD did say he loves it in an interview.
It stopped being included in the late Davies era, too. It has to do with credit length policies at the BBC. It hasn't been included in almost all episodes where the theme music didn't continue over the next time trailer (the last regular use of the full theme was Turn Left, the last episode with theme music over the next time). So they've had to go against BBC policy to fit the full theme in.
@@thegreentimtam Perhaps that is the reason why the opening theme is shorter than usual. To make up the time that the Middle 8 would take. Though I am just an American. I have absolutely no clue what BBC Policies are.
I wonder if bringing up the breathing and dropping the orchestra in the mix was intentional or not compared to the opening which has their prominence switched.
I like how the Tardis surfs on the Time Vortex in the beginning of the intro. It's so cool.
I love it! I would just extend it ever so slightly, the theme appears to cut off a little early and the logo could do with some more effects - maybe a vortex or regeneration energy like the reveal had. Overall, a very good intro!
what part are we predicting the needle drop moment to be?
On the music: if only... If ONLY they had made the piano-ey bit a bit louder. That is by far my favourite part of the tune and it just rounds the whole thing off nicely.
theres no identifying theme to recognise with an incarnation of that Doctor with storys we haven heard yet (so yeah this if is .... great arrangement but for RIGHT now.. its a march right now and not a theme that is identified with the charachter Ncuti is gonna portray.. i like this as incidental but not a charachter theme (YET) every Doctors theme was born based on a story we saw and went "THATS THIS DOCTORS THEME".. you cant do it ahead of time.. im amazed if this is Ncuti's theme .. it has tot fit a good story to compliment it BEING his theme... this is just bland ... Murray Gold.. please bring back your edge and get Nick Foster back conducting and colaborating with you
to be fair, the themes have to be written in the first place before they are given to the doctor. this is just the reveal of the theme, not how it's gonna first appear in an episode
makes you wonder how the "story" is gonna cement this as this doctors theme i guess. @@GingerAls i hate SPECULATION and SPOILERS! lol there no surprises anymore
Me going up a single flight of stairs
It’s a shame first people in the comments don’t know about percussion. It’s a darn shame
The female breathing does not sound like percussion.
that sounds like someone who doesnt know what percussion is SOUNDS LIKE! (joking btw)@@ZacCasey-q9p
@@InfiniteProductions123 it doesn't sound like percussion to me. it sounds like breathing.
It was driving me a little nutty trying to figure out what the rythmic breathing reminded me of and I remembered the breakdown at 2:15 in Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus
As much as I’m over the moon David is back, I’m so sad the fourteenth Doctor only gets these three adventures. There’s surely so much story there, the first face of the Doctor to return from the grave, having known death and regeneration, exploring how different faces have memories specific to that face. I would’ve loved to see a run just like Ten’s, a full arch.
I agree I’d love to see more of fourteen and all the adventures they could get up to as for David Tennant though, I think he has a lot of loyalty to the doctor who franchise, not only did he become famous because of it but dr who is a big part of his family, with his father in law Peter Davidson (five) and his wife Georgia tennant (Jenny) sure he will be up for reprising the role again probably in another 10 years at the next anniversary.
At 13:45 there’s a small section of music I am sure I recognise but can’t work out what it is?
Conceptually bad...and dull.
Throat singing?
The ending music during credits sounds like people having sex or catching breathe while jogging
Its so nice being able to feel something when hearing the music in the episode. You did a good job with this!
Feels like they sampled the breathing from Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus. At least thats the vibe I get anyway!
This sounds like it should be playing while Fifteen runs through the boss level in one of the Super Mario Galaxy games. Which is, of course, tonally perfect. Murray Gold has done it again.
The effects and the visuals look stellar! But the movements of the tardis looks pretty janky and... not really fluid like it was in the older series like Matt Smith or David/Christopher.
Needs more work, but I do love it.
The theme song itself is amazing, but the sequence itself is poorly done. The visuals dont look great, and the logo looks so out of place with the rest. But the biggest crime is the fact that it disregards the musical cues. The theme song itself has three main cues: credits/face, logo, and title card. Almost all of the DW sequences adhere to these musical cues and it makes the title sequence that much more cohesive, and even when they didnt adhere to the three cues they adhered to the cue of the middle 8 (in the case of the tv movie and the 7th doctor sequences). Without the synchronisation, the sequence suffers.
I think the sequence is just for these three anniversary specials.
Really you think that the worst thing is that this intro is different and it's trying to be a little bit experimental? Jesus Christ...
This. Literally this. Everything else can change but they need to keep this in mind.
The theme holds off on the synth for too long. It hits too close to the cut-off. In full it sounds great, but in 28 seconds it doesn't hit quite right.
The breathing is so annoying. Completely distracts from the overall theme
I think the music mix was too quiet for my taste
Nah it was good tbh
This intro is so cool, I'm tired of seeing people complain about it. It's new and different, whatever!
This may actually be my least favourite intro of the modern era, the colours are really ugly and the constant cuts and "realistic" camera movements are completely out of place. And the way the logo comes in, I mean was that done in CapCut? It's closing animation is well done, so why does its entrance look so awful? I will say that I do love the one shot with the actors' names, the building tension of the music fits this part particularly well, but, as many others have pointed out, the extent to which the sequence is out of sync with the music is seriously awful. Like a lot of things in this episode, it was all flash, no substance and creatively unsure of itself in tone. I'm really hoping they have a new title sequence each episode because if this is the best they could do then this doesn't bode well for Ncuti's sequence.
I love it but it’s kinda short and out of sync…. it’s missing 14th Face.
HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF that the composer resisted what must have been an overwhelming urge to put a trap beat over everything.
wtf?
Why would they do that??
