This took me back. I've had Star stables since 2014. As much as I love its new look, the old feeling of getting on the game will never be replaced. I'm pretty sure every OG player can agree with me on this that the old SSO gave us something. It's unfortunate of how bland it's become, but I'm really glad I got to play on it in its prime. Thank you so much for the video! I enjoyed remembering the very old bugs, and things in the game that only we were ever able to experience Especially the wild horse glitch, I did that SO many times XD

I was around when the first Friesians were announced. Yes that blog post had said that there would be an increase in price afterwards, and I remember absolutely pleading with my parents to buy me star coins because the increase would be happening soon. Then it never did. Don't know why, but yeah that blog post ended up being nothing and the Friesians stayed around 990 and were the most expensive horses in the game at the time.

In the iceberg you mentioned there were 3 free horses. Isn't spirit a free horse too? I know you need to buy an apple to tame him, but I don't think that counts since your not directly buying him. Idk maybe there's a bit of miscommunication here...

Cant believe some things i grew up with are now almost forgotten and in iceberg lists now haha. Sso does so many updates that arent really written on their news so its fun to see people gather and share their memories

I just returned to the SSO fandom after like a four year hiatus; I'm still so interested and passionate about the lore and the mechanics of the game, even though so much has changed (I did not expect to come back to Hollow Woods looking like that, or our character actually fitting in with the new Soulriders, but hey, not complaining). Hoping this video will revive some of the nostalgia I've been missing 😅

I have something to add to Fripp. So in SSO it is Canon that he dosen't know where he is from. But in Starshine he reveals that him and his people are from outer space and fell to Jordvik while transporting Garnok to some intergalactic prison.

Its been close to six years since i first made my sso account back in december of 2018.I clicked on this video out of intrigue to see what i could remember and what i did not know. I stopped being an sso fanatic in around 2021-2022 i think? So ive been very behind on everything as i could probably count on one hand how many times ive logged on since then.Ive recently been logging on here and there to see whats up and perhaps grinding a little bit. Seeing the concept art for the dark riders jumpscared me because i havent seen katya (the only dark rider i remember)in the new art style yet.I was so confused on who they were hahaha. Havent finished the video yet, but this seems like a very informative video so far, thank you :)

Hello! Thank you soso much for this video, it brought back SO many memories! I still remember the Justin Moorland thing! In my memory it was a liiiittle bit different tho- There was a player roaming around named "Justin Moorland" and everybody in the community thought it was a hacker and the rumor was that the second the hacker would interact with you or you with them, they would hack your account. This happening took place over a few weeks and stopped with a new bug fix from star stable, announcing that a bug had been fixed that allowed players to type in names rather than coose one from the list. -Looking back the "Justin Moorland" was probably just one of the first players to discover this and countless copycats followed who wanted to troll. At the time star stable also noted that this name changed player would not have been able to hack other players so that was just bs. I still remember once encountering a "Justin Moorland" who sent me a friend request, prompting me to close the game immediately lol!

I recently started playing, so I've had quite a few quests I've chipping through. The dynamite in North Link is still in the game. It's part of the questline to set up the gondolas for the astronomer, and you are tasked to blow up the "crumbling old supports" to make way for the new ones. First try around, I didn't know you could run through the concrete blocks, got stuck on some terrain, and had my first "death" because I was too close to the explosion. The pillars are far enough apart that it's not really practical to have your character run between them, so I can't confirm if it triggered by the player alone.
