Richard Dawkins cruelly answers audience question

Richard Dawkins (author of "The God Delusion") gave a lecture at the Eden Court Theater (watch the whole lecture here: /view_play_list?p=9EF8FE04FE423B06) and the last audience question asked was from this deeply disturbed faithful christian believer. Huh? The guy flowers up his language to prevent getting laughed out the door. But, let's make it clear. He believes he has been seeing, walking with, and talking with Jesus. He even compared himself to the apostles in the Book of Acts (in other words, first person, in person). Lots of Christians don't pay close attention and think the guy was just saying he's a believer. But, Dawkins paid attention, and knew the guy was trying to say he's ACTUALLY seeing Jesus. Yeah, he's hallucinating. You'd be pretty hard pressed to even find a devout Christian who believes the guy is actually seeing what he claims.

    Was that Christian, Ken, who phones or used to phone into live radio discussions? No matter the subject, he'd turn it into his personal belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. It was as boring as it was predictable. An excellent response to say the deity worshipped largely depends where and when the believer was born and raised. It never ceases to amaze me the inventiveness of the human mind; able to conjure up thousands o different gods and belief systems ever since humans felt the need to believe in some sort of supernatural power. Hats off to the human imagination!

    RICHARD DAWKINS IGNORANCE. 1. This video clip: The most prolific preponderance of non-sensical crap spoken by a professor in less than 2 minutes in the history of of the world. Dawkins has no clue what spiritual regeneration and the born-again experience for Christians means. Has anyone ever explained to Dawkins the role and value of the Holy Spirit in the life of Christians and converts, i.e., to convince of sin, righteousness and judgment? 2. Dawkins should chew on the term, 'God has no Grandsons" (book by Mr. Pentecost, David du Plessis). In contrast to Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam etc. Christians are not born Christians in Christian households. Being born in a garage does not make one an automobile and God has no grandsons. Devout, born-again Christians become Christians due to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.

    Life is cruel. Dawkins tells people to accept the harsh reality of life. I wish the god he believes really exists. Unfortunately the evidence for a compassionate God who cares about others is very less. Near death experiences does not prove that God exists. People see weird things. Even people who are highly educated and who Know that evolution is a heartless process and we are not special and evolution does not have any purpose still believe that there is a compassionate God who hears to their prayers. It is unfortunate we cannot get somethings. Dawkins will be extremely happy if there is a Compassionate God who cares about us. But he knows such a god does not exist. I suffered from such pain after I read the chapter on evolution when I was kid. I cannot describe it. We cannot get somethings and should accept the harsh realities of life and should be kind till we are on this planet.

    Dawkins fanboys, who made him wealthy BTW, are always hilarious to observe and listen to. Watch the interview with Ben Stein where Dawkins stammers and says it is possible that life was created by aliens, but there's no way it was by God. 1 - Life comes from nothing, yet has never been observed to do so. 2 - Complex lifeforms came from single-celled organisms has never been observed, and there are no two, three, or five-celled organisms existing to this day or in fossil records. 3 - Time and chance don't work for evolution, but work against it. Mankind has bred large and fierce dogs or the cutest and tiny lap versions from the grey wolf, along with massive draught horses and miniature ponies, cattle, and other livestock from their sources, but no new genes have been observed to be created on Earth. Therefore, evidence points to that it requires life to create life, along with energy and matter. Energy and matter alone, cannot create life. The day mankind creates a human clone without natural sexual reproduction or in vitro fertilization overwhelmingly concludes that once again, it takes an intelligent creator(s) to create life that couldn't do it by itself while coming from nothing or a rock.

    • @rockethead7
      @rockethead7 4 месяца назад

      "Dawkins stammers and says it is possible that life was created by aliens, but there's no way it was by God." Utter hilarity. No, dewdrop. Stein kept pressing Dawkins for some sort of mechanism that life on Earth could have been intelligently created, and, reluctantly, but trying to respond anyway, he answered that aliens could have somehow seeded Earth with the building blocks of life. It's something that Dawkins has said a million times that he doesn't believe, because he thinks that life evolved on its own without any aliens. But, in order to appease the pressuring of trying to come up with an example, he provided that one. As for "no way it was by a god," sorry, but you're wrong there also. Dawkins has said 1000 times in various interviews and lectures that if people want to believe that a god directed evolution, they're welcome to believe it, but, his main complaint is that so many people deny evolution altogether. Sorry, but you've fallen for dishonest editing from a dishonest movie.

Even this year, Reuters published an article about "275 million entirely new genetic variants." And, that's just in popular media. If you read the biology journals, you'll find countless other examples.

    I saw Prof Dawkins in conversation with Rowan Williams. A good debate. Dawkins did not have the courage then to tell the Archbishop that his experience was all an hallucination. Of course Dawkins is correct that we are all formed by our environment. But that also applies to Dawkins. He seems certain (faith?) that people who think differently are deluded. But it’s just as possible that it is he who is deluded by his environment. I do commend Dawkins for his calmness. But I’m very disappointed in his “blind faith” in his ability to detect delusion in other people.

    • @numbersix9477

Do you really believe that Dawkins doesn't understand the difference between the word "hallucination" and "delusion"? Also, Williams wasn't asking Dawkins (twice, no less) to give a direct response to his claims. The audience member in this video was. He basically said, "I myself have seen and walked with Jesus, and I think I'm an apostle just like the ones in the bible that saw and walked with him, so, what are you going to say about that?"
